    ReplyDelete
  36. Ok i got one of the riddles. The snark is a Boojum (say's Lewis Caroll, not me..) which gives us 61 according to my calculator

    ReplyDelete
  37. I found a note saying that the man has sold X amount of bottles of his wonderful drink for 49.36 USD each. He got X7. 28 USD total from the sale and used this number as the combo of one of the locks on the door.
Now I'm trying to find by which number should be multiplied 49.36 in order to get ...7.28 as the last three digits.
    I hope I'm making sense..

    ReplyDelete
  38. what to do with the green and black dot thingy? I'm stuck...

    ReplyDelete
  39. Liela, can you tell me where that green and black dot thing is ?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ashley, just undestood what you where doing. Need some help ?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Haha i've no idea... i was just clicking away trying to find something new when i found it. now i can't go back :(

    ReplyDelete
  42. Green and black dot thing is on the old fashioned cupboard on the scene with a wheel. And you can move the only white dot by clicking and pass the dark dots from left to right. I worked on it for a while, could't succeed

    ReplyDelete
  43. @carrot, yes I need help, cause I can't seem to find the correct amount to multiply, as a result can't find the total either.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I think i have the answer for the ammount:
    4837,28 is 98 bottles

    ReplyDelete
  45. I do the cat picture ... but I don't like this game.. I quit.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Can we somehow back up from the dot thing and try again later?

    ReplyDelete
  47. I opened the dot box, yet to find another freaking note

    ReplyDelete
  48. Im' not finding that game. I find it surprising to have to digit answers for the codes. Do we need to combine them ? This is gonna be complicated

    ReplyDelete
  49. yes my amount was correct, 4837 goes on te right bottom lock at the door!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. this link helped me get thru the shuttle puzzle (green & black dots) http://www.gamesmuseum.uwaterloo.ca/VirtualExhibits/puzzles/shuttle/shutsolu.html

    ReplyDelete
  51. Carola, thanks ma'am.:)
So one of the combos is: 4837. Another combo should be the answer of the FOUR FIVE puzzle

    ReplyDelete
  52. i have another page in the notebook with a math problem. anyone know what the french horn things are in the inventory? i have 2 now

    ReplyDelete
  53. btw, carola, you are right about the 98...

    ReplyDelete
  54. The note in the black green dot box talks about a scary machine that has been disarmed or taken apart and scattered all around the house..

    ReplyDelete
  55. FIRST!!!!!!!! ( and still working at the cat ;.(()

    ReplyDelete
  56. so now we only have to solve the riddles? or am i missing a puzzle somewhere?

    ReplyDelete
  57. there is one piece of the machine outside

    ReplyDelete
  58. There is the FOUR FIVE puzzle yet Liela..

    ReplyDelete
  59. well done carola! one lock opened. am back...can't resist a live game!

    ReplyDelete
  60. @ full- if i remember correctly, one piece of the cat puzzle, i think it was the third from the left only changes itself, so i used that one last to finish the puzzle. i don't know if that helps

    ReplyDelete
  61. I wonder if you have to do something to get that green dot thing cos i'm not finding it...

    ReplyDelete
  62. So i am just guessing now, but i think that for the 3,4,5 riddle, we have to solve

    FOUR
    +FIVE
    _____
    NINE

    ReplyDelete
  63. Found it !! I was using the magnifying glass but not clicking at the right spot

    ReplyDelete
  64. Don't think so, carotcuite, i only did the cat and the bottles before getting stuck on the dots...

    ReplyDelete
  65. Inside now, at last... but if i scroll down the gamepage a little, second picture from the left......ahum, never mind ;.))

    ReplyDelete
  66. If a snark is a boojum, then shouldn't boojum be 2 + 15 + 15+10+21+13=76?
Ah, that opens the top lock!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Have you noticed that when you click the magnifying glass, little circles appear on the screen...? Don't know why, though...

    ReplyDelete
  68. is the dot box like a leap frog puzzle to get the dots to the other side? i will try now!

    ReplyDelete
  69. I also don't understand what to do with the magnifying glass circles, they're outside as well

    ReplyDelete
  70. I tried that Liela but it make much sense to me.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I don't understand, jitta???

    ReplyDelete
  72. How did you open the top lock?

    ReplyDelete
  73. figured out the 2nd lock, 0076. Found the Lewis Carroll paper w/ "The hunting of the Snark" piece on it, the blue blank is BOOJUM, give the letters their # and add them up.
Also figured out if you click the magnifier it show the spots that can me looked at.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Carotcuite found that a snark is a boojum.
the letters for snark transformed to numbers gives 63, says the note, and it also says that the blue dots should give the lock code.
    boojum =2 15 15 10 21 13, add those=76
    0076 is the top lock

    ReplyDelete
  75. Om god, tks Jitta, no wonder 61 wouldn't work, i forgot to count the o twice, what a dits !!

The magnifying glass is like a clue to where you have to click but it doesn't give the exact spot. Really helpful, i have now 8 notes.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Jitta, you're right. Now we're left with the sideways lock

    ReplyDelete
  77. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  78. ah, Juslokin, you were ahead of me...
So now to find what numbers to use for the FOUR + FIVE = NINE...Just normal alphabet doesnt fit, then FIVE and NINE cannot be divided by 5 and 3...

    ReplyDelete
  79. For the 4,5 puzzle, i have

    R=0
E could be anything between 1 and 9
F could be anything between 1 and 4
    U+V=F+F=N

    but i'm still stuck:(

    ReplyDelete
  80. jitta, you have to assign the digits 0-9 to the letters for the 4+5=9 puzzle, trying alphabet combos won't do

    ReplyDelete
  81. great work for the snark-lock!!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Which means F can only be 2,3 or 4

    ReplyDelete
  83. O, I get your reasoning. Then if r =) and we assume every letter is a different number, then E should be 5 because FIVE can be divided by 5

    ReplyDelete
  84. R+E=E, thus R will have to be zero

Also, I figured out that E=5...

    ReplyDelete
  85. Liela: remember that f+f could not be n, because o+i can be more than 10. Do you understand me?

    ReplyDelete
  86. and I think 0=9, with spillover from the column before that's the only way that O+I are I

    ReplyDelete
  87. carotcuite, f can be a 1 as well

    ReplyDelete
  88. So U+V add up to more then 10

    ReplyDelete
  89. That makes sense Jitta, well done.
    If F is 2 (N is 4), then U+V is 3+1 (or 1+3)
    If F is 3 (N is 6), then U+V is 4+2
    If F is 4 (N is 8) then U+v is 6+2 or 7+1

    ReplyDelete
  90. and I+O is also more then 10, which means N is and odd number

    ReplyDelete
  91. o+i can't be more than 10 rafadamian...

    ReplyDelete
  92. I'm getting confused. F can't be 1 unless U or V equals 0 and 1 which wouldn't make sense. Or am I loosing it ?

    ReplyDelete
  93. N can be 1, 3 or 7. not 1, because F cannot be 0, so only 3 or 7, and then F is 1 or 3

    ReplyDelete
  94. FOUR = 6+15+21+18=60
    FIVE = 6+9+22+5=42
    NINE = 14+9+14+5=42

    ??? 42 isn't divisible by 5
not sure if on the right track

    ReplyDelete
  95. I'm also confused now carot... but i still think f can be 1, am i wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  96. F=1, N=3, U+V=7+6=13 (That's the only way to fit in the odd numbers. I just need I now...

    ReplyDelete
  97. juskolin, i think a letter can only be a number between 0 and 9.

    ReplyDelete
  98. U=6, then FOUR=!(^) which can be divided by 4
    V=7, so FIVE=1.75, and NINE=3.35
    almost there....

    ReplyDelete
  99. FOUR=1960, sorry, shift...

    ReplyDelete
  100. Yes F can be 1, i forgot I can be more than 10. I'm just gonna shut up for the moment, i'm lost and would probably get everyone confused ;)

    ReplyDelete
  101. yeah, it fits!!!
    NINE=3435

    ReplyDelete
  102. answer is 3435 works on lock

    ReplyDelete
  103. Okay, now I'm leaving, have too, but we're in the next room!

    ReplyDelete
  104. thanx u guys! ur sooo smart!!!

    ReplyDelete
  105. I don't even know how to begin this game : I've read the letter, I've clicked madly on the picture of the house and nothing happens !

    ReplyDelete
  106. 4 new locks? with collour lines

    ReplyDelete
  107. now how to figure out the color puzzle....

    ReplyDelete
  108. Well done. I like to think that my shutting up was a help towards finding the solution !

    ReplyDelete
  109. ah we have to collour the gray lines above it, pfff, better

    ReplyDelete
  110. Here's a summary of what I've worked out... i think nothing is new though:

    R + E = E
(as this is the lowest digit, it must be correct)
    Therefore R = 0

E is divisable by 5 (as NINE is divisable by 5) E is not 0 therefore E=5

    U + V > 10
    Otherwise O + I = I would not be true (assuming O or I cannot be 0 again).

    O = 9
    Because O + 1 => 10

    F + F + 1 = N
    (F + F cannot be greater than 10 as otherwise it would be a 5 digit number, but as O + I >10, N must be 1 greater than F + F.)

Hope that makes some sense. It doesn't quite solve it yet though.

    ReplyDelete
  111. @pascale- i got in in the lower right part of the house-good luck-lots of puzzles!

    ReplyDelete
  112. The colored circuit puzzle doesn't make any sense to me.
With the previous puzzles, although I wasn't able to solve them, I was getting the idea at least..

    ReplyDelete
  113. got now a view with 3 barometers

    ReplyDelete
  114. That color thing is strange, there a grey line that just ends in the middle of the picture

    ReplyDelete
  115. @pascale-click the trees

    ReplyDelete
  116. Asley, the end are the collours for the grey starting. The one is ending nowhere is black. That's what I thought

    ReplyDelete
  117. guess all the 3 meters go on red line

    ReplyDelete
  118. I cant seem to get into house. Read book and seen larue post re lower right part of house but cant seem to get in

    ReplyDelete
  119. OK clicked madly lower right corner and got door and now got cat puzzle

    ReplyDelete
  120. The Russians are really smart..

    ReplyDelete
  121. YES have all 3 arrows on red finally. The room turns dark now, and all I see, are a lot of letters. Guess we have to make a code of letters now

    ReplyDelete
  122. Carola, are u doing the color puzzle? cause i dont get it.....

    ReplyDelete
  123. for the collour puzzle, the grey lines in the left uppercorner, has to be the same as the end of the line. The line that ends nowhere is black!! Then you get 3 meters, make all the arrows go on red. Then the room turns black and you get all letters, there stuck now

    ReplyDelete
  124. Carola, can you post the color sequence for the circuit puzzle?

    ReplyDelete
  125. I'm stuck at carolo's point too... seems like a bible quote?

    ReplyDelete
  126. just follow the lines, if the line ends with pink, make him start also with pink, etc

    ReplyDelete
  127. ecclesiastes 2:14... is the answer...

    ReplyDelete
  128. For all the letters, think we have to press the 4 buttons to make a readeble note

    ReplyDelete
  129. i STILL dont get it! my brain isnt seeming to function right this mornin! lol

    ReplyDelete
  130. okay there's a yellow line on all positions, except on number 5. maybe 5 should be yellow then?

    ReplyDelete
  131. For the final puzzle (after the color tubes), click the gold things on the sides and bottom to change the letters. It is a Bible verse. Keep clicking the different gold thing until the first word is "The" with a space after it. Each gold thing controls one of the first four characters. If you spell out "The" with a space, the rest of the phrase is also spelled out. Hope that made sense.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Thanks Carola! I have the letter stuff in front of me now but can 2:14 be something related to the Bible? I'm not even Christian, any Catholics here?

    ReplyDelete
  133. can someone please post the color sequence for those of us (me) who still dont get it? lol

    ReplyDelete
  134. Is it me or did just all die ?

    ReplyDelete
  135. The wise man has eyes in his head,
while the fool walks in the darkne
ss; but I came to realize that the
same fate over takes them both.

    (ECCLESIASTES 2:14)

    ReplyDelete
  136. Hi Sarah, I cannot get it either :) Hope somebody will save us :D

    ReplyDelete
  137. Sarah, i can't remember the sequence but all you have to do is start at the end (bottom right cornor) and follow the line at the top where you change the color. Put the color of the line you started with

    ReplyDelete
  138. Anna, im glad im not alone here! :)

    ReplyDelete
  139. So there will be a sequal..

    ReplyDelete
  140. thanks for your help guys, i've been playing with you. see you

    ReplyDelete
  141. Collourcode. Follow the line. the line starts with a grey part that can change collor. Follow the line to the real end, through all the locks. Than make the beginning of this line (the grey part) the same collour as the end of the line.
Only on line ends just somewhere (to a blue line in another way) make the beginning of this line: black. And you solved it.

    ReplyDelete
  142. thank u Carotcuite! i didnt realize u had to follow the same line even tho it changed color!

    ReplyDelete
  143. Carotcuite, thanks. I did it before already but it didn't work and still isn't.. :( Sarah, hopefully you're doing better :)

    ReplyDelete
  144. did u figure it out yet Anna?

    ReplyDelete
  145. Yeah i did the same to me too Anna. The Grey line doesn't actually disapear, the blue line just overlaps it. You can see it reappear on the line just above

    ReplyDelete
  146. thanks carot, got the color thing done now. But why does the game jump back to the office scene everytime i enter the puzzle with the gauges?

    ReplyDelete
  147. Anna, maybe comment 163 makes sense, don't know how else to explain in my poor english

    ReplyDelete
  148. Liela, there is now another puzzle to solve with the 3 meters, make them all on red

    ReplyDelete
  149. Finally I got the puzzle, I think it could've been sth with my Internet connection, no idea. After putting the colours for the 3rd time it finally worked. Thanks everybody! But now I have another problem - I cannot find the letter puzzle, no lights go off etc, but I cannot open the colour puzzle anymore so I guess it was solved properly... Only trouble with me :)

    ReplyDelete
  150. I meant SARAH in comment 169 ;)

    ReplyDelete
  151. i can see the puzzle, carola, but do i need one more part before i can do it? cause it jumps back everytime i click on it. maybe the part that we got after the lines puzzle? but then again, where did we have to click to get it?

    ReplyDelete
  152. got it Carola! thank u! now on the letter puzzle!

    ReplyDelete
  153. finally got it! but i take it i died? weird game... thank u all for the help!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  154. Anna and Leila, do u still need help?

    ReplyDelete
  155. sorry, i meant Liela, wrong spelling

    ReplyDelete
  156. yes!! please. I finished the colour puzzle and now i can see the room but cannot clisk anything (I mean nothing is active). I can only go back to previous rooms :/

    ReplyDelete
  157. did u click the machine on the right side of the computer? also right next to the chair?

    ReplyDelete
  158. my game is finished so i cant see the room anymore, but it should take u to the thing w/the 3 meters on it.

    ReplyDelete
  159. I did. it's a soft spot, but not working. Maybe I just should restart the game...

    ReplyDelete
  160. Thank you Sarah, it's very nice of you! I think it's just a big buggy or sth, I'll restart later and try again. Thanks for all help and tillthe next game :)

    ReplyDelete
  161. sorry i couldnt be of more help Anna! but your welcome! the ending was crap anyways, it just tells u that u died anyways! lol good luck to u next game also!

    ReplyDelete
  162. Thank you Larue.

    So, I'm here :
    - I've solved the bottle puzzle and it just zoomed out, nothing happened.
    - I've found the number of bottles sold (98), and the total amount (4837) opened the lower right lock.
    - I've opened the box with coloured dots.

If letters are numbers, total of FOUR is 60 (and can be divided by 4), total of FIVE is 42 and cannot be divided by 5, total of NINE is 42 and can be divided by 3.
One of the note says that SNARK total is 63.
    Now what ?

    ReplyDelete
  163. Oh, yes, « the snark was a BOOJUM » -> total is 76, and it opens one of the locks.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Can anyone help for the left lock ? I've read the answer (3435), but I don't understand how you came to this.

    ReplyDelete
  165. @pascale,you're welcome. looks like the locks are next! i will have to probably cheat for the #'s. looks like math wizardry is needed. i had to stop to eat, so i am where you are. good luck

    ReplyDelete
  166. @pascale, if every letter is a random number, the E must be a 5, because FIVE has to be a multiplay of 5. And so the R of FOUR has to be 0. So we start thinking, for the rest see for one explanation comment 125 ( or the other comments around)

@Anna and Liela, sorry I was on the phone (mother of a friend died, so it took a long time)

  169. Anna u don't get to the pressure gauge machine puzzle because I think you haven't collected all the machine parts

    ReplyDelete
  170. Hello, Larue and Carola !

    I, too, think that E is 5 and R, 0 (zero).
    F can be 1, 3 or 4 (can't remember why it is not 2, but I think it can't be 2).
In order that NINE can be divisble by 3, the sum : 2N + I + 5 must be divisble by 3.
    If F=1, I (the letter !) can be 4 or 7... and N is 3.
    If F=3, I can be 2, 5 or 8.
    ...
We know that N is an odd number.
    I'm exhausted (-:

    ReplyDelete
  171. Oh, and letter O must be 9, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  172. @pascale, looks like we need all of our machine parts also.i have 5 so far. 3 french horns, a half a bracelet and something that looks like a machine part or a fat rolling pin connected with a smaller one. good luck, i will continue later.

  173. Anna, the reason you can't open the machine is that you havne't probably done the bottles puzzle correctly. You not only have to sort the bottles by the type but by the content as well, meaning that the number on the bottle means that that bottle contains so many units of that... hope it makes sense. When you re-order the bottles, you will be able to click on last hole and then return to the office scene.
