ReplyDeleteso lets see.. you put the green plant from the fire place in the glass on the table
ReplyDeleteyou take the picture from the shelf, turn it around, and take the backing out, to get a key. top right corner holds a piece of paper to the brown book on the shelf..
then the green yarn ball with the needles, remove the needles to give to the cat, who gives you the orange, that rolls under the shelf(darn!)
the key from the picture leads to outside, where you find a knife under the bush and a log
inside, under the pullows, the bottom of the couch, opens to give you an ax to cut the log, to give you wood, to put in the fire place..
Use axe outside. Need fire now!

ReplyDelete@Zazie, it is a long lighter like you would use on the stove. It had a blue handle and was on the couch cushion after the blanket fell off.

ReplyDelete@Saadia you need to peel back the white part of the picture frame back after you get the key. Peel back the upper right corner.

ReplyDeletePlace the rose bud in the glass on the table
Click the brown book on the top shelf of the bookcase (next to the light green one)
Pick it up when it falls
Click the magnifier in your inventory and then click the book to see the about item view
Note the colored blocks on the page after you click to open the cover
Get the picture from the bookcase
Look at it in the about item view and click just above the bottom right corner to turn it over
On the back, click the 2 black clips and remove the back -- get the silver key
While still looking at the about item view of the picture frame back, click the upper right corner of the white backing to find a colored paper
Click the about item view of the book and add the paper for a colored block code
Go right
Get the green ball of yarn and knitting needles from the basket
Look at it in the about item view
Click them to separate them
Click the top left of the blanket on the couch (the peach-colored thing)
Get the lighter that is left on the cushion
Click the front of the couch below and between the 2 red cushions and the 2 orange ones
A hidden drawer will open -- get the axe from inside (thanks cece!)
Click the right edge of the curtains over the couch
They will move and you can get the scissors
Use the scissors on the red string hanging from the basket
Use the silver key on the sliding glass door to go outside
Use the axe on the long log to get five pieces of firewood
Get the piece of wood right of the snowman in the corner (thanks again cece!!)
Get the knife below the dark green tree and left of the lighter colored one (the handle looks red)
Back up and go left to the cat scene
Place the firewood in the fireplace
Light the candle with the lighter
Use the triangular piece of wood on the candle and then light the firewood
You now have fire in the fireplace
Give kitty the yarn and it will drop the orange ball
Click the ball to get it
Oops! It rolled under the bookcase, and you can’t reach it!
Click the red string and then the knitting needles in your inventory to get a strange stick (no about item view needed)
Use the stick to get the orange ball from under the bookcase (you don’t need to zoom in -- just use the stick near the further part of the bottom)
In the about item view of the ball, use the brown-red knife to cut it open
Get the scary object that looks a bit like a finger
Go right
Give the finger thing to the parrot and learn it was really a parrot treat (phew!)
Get the parrot key
Use the key on the end table under the plant by the couch
Get the block puzzle
Look at it in the about item view and learn the blocks change color when you click them
Solve the puzzle (the lovely game maker has it designed so you can open 2 about item views at the same time)
Click the handle of the puzzle thing to open it and get the puzzle key

Go left
Use the new key on the bottom of the bookcase
Open the door and get the blue bowl (you just see the bowl’s edge)
Go right
Go outside and use the bowl in the snow about in the bottom middle of the screen to get a bowl of snow (what did you think it would be?)
Go down and left
Place the bowl behind the kitty and next to the fire
Wait for the snow to melt
Take the bowl of water and use it on the glass on the table to water the plant
Wait for the rose to bloom
Get the gold key it drops on the table
Go right and use the new key on the door
You escaped thanks to a very unusual Escape Rose hybrid
