    ReplyDelete
  80. @kylann.. where exactly do you put the blue knob?

    ReplyDelete
  94. Ah thanks!!
I got the knob now :D

    ReplyDelete
  95. Did you get it yet Edgar?

    ReplyDelete
  96. i figured out that if 3C=2LR and L+R=C then LR must be a multiple of 3 from combining equations, so tried some values and figured out center dial must be 8, and left and right are 2 and 6 (forget which)

    ReplyDelete
  97. finally got it - thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  98. that caused middle shelving unit to reveal a keypad and now stuck

    ReplyDelete
  99. so we have a code on the plant
    3*(Center)= 2*Left*Right
    left=6, center=8, right=2

    ReplyDelete
  100. oops..too late...

    ReplyDelete
  101. center is 8
    left is 2
    right is 6
I think... if not, invert left and right.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Hmm nothing happens when i enter the numbers, where the keypad should be supposed to appear ?

    ReplyDelete
  103. trying to place brown knob on clock???

    ReplyDelete
  104. Hm, I feel ABxA=CAD is insufficient
Maybe another clue is still missing.

    ReplyDelete
  105. have to go. good luck everyone :)

    ReplyDelete
  106. @nokra, zoom in right of the cupboard and find where the knob is missing.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I think the L is the left dial R is right dial and C is center. L + R = C. So is 3* C = 2*L*R mean C= 3 or 3 multiplied by C? But we don't know C. Anyone have any ideas

    ReplyDelete
  108. I had to enter mine twice with the center as the last one Zazie. It should just open up the whole middle section

    ReplyDelete
  109. Of course...in hole on right floor....

    ReplyDelete
  110. sorry, guess I was typing while you all were figuring it out

    ReplyDelete
  111. Still stuck with dials :(

    ReplyDelete
  112. Thx serran this worked, you have to enter 8 at last !

    ReplyDelete
  113. @Zazie - I had the center set at 8 since the beginning. It didn't work until I reset the center

    ReplyDelete
  114. I am asking myself why the brown box is still in inventory...

    ReplyDelete
  115. We still have the horns too.

    ReplyDelete
  116. and the horns zazie...

    ReplyDelete
  117. I feel so stupid...the cabinet is open but I have no idea what could be the code???

    ReplyDelete
  118. Still alive after 1 hour. Tough game?

    ReplyDelete
  119. I got it!
    ABxA=CAD
    51x5=255
    I've got the key now!

    ReplyDelete
  120. well, certainly needed a lot of help with this one - thanks everyone!

    God of PoP, please help.
I see a circle in the drawer, and a blue dot, where in relation to those do I need to click?

    ReplyDelete
  133. @Clee, the horn is used to open the panels left and right of pink cupboard.

@Andrea you have to drag the blue thingy on the blue little circle in drawer, then keep clicking it...

    ReplyDelete
  134. @zazie: headsmack: I forgot we drag items in this game!!
    Thank you thank you

    ReplyDelete
  135. iab..lost my internet before...going to restart the game...:))

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  138. @orange..I really didnt get that code..I tried to figure it out..but..nope..so I used the tips =)

    ReplyDelete
  139. The following codes worked for me:

    51*5=255 ABCD=5125
    61*6=366 ABCD=6136
    86*8=688 ABCD=8668

  142. Lightful Drawing Room Escape - Walkthrough

IMPORTANT: In this game as in some others, you need to click- drag-drop the items inside the game screen in order to use them.

    • Start by collecting Diamonds #1 & #2
    • Zoom in the picture to take Diamond #3 and the yellow note.
    • Zoom in the small cabinet and grab Diamonds #4 to #8 from above and
     inside the drawers.
    • Turn left.

    • Zoom in the right plant. See a location hint on the wall; take a wire
from behind the pot and Diamond #9 from the bottom left of the screen.
    • Find Diamonds #10 to #13 inside some of the drawers in the cupboard.
    • Zoom in the left plant and take Diamond #14 and look at a math clue
on one of the leaves: 3*C=2*L*R (you might notice this clue is
associated with the other clue on the right wall
    ). Zoom for the second
time around the bottom right of the pot to find some batteries.
    • Turn left.

    • On the big pink cupboard, find Diamonds #15 & #16 in the left drawers.
    • Take the horns (?) from the lower shelf.
    • Zoom in both middle shelves to grab Diamonds #17 & #18.
    • On the top shelf, move the clock aside to reveal a hidden dial.
    • Zooming in both sides of the cupboard you can notice 2 lateral
compartments, and using the horns to open them, 2 more dials
(although the left one is missing the knob… you’ll need it).
Take Diamond #19 from the left side (by the way).
Now, dials on the left (L) and right (R), and one in the center (C)…
     Looks familiar?

    • Turn left.

    • Take the Diamond #20 by the door handle.
    • Zoom in the picture on wall, take Diamond #21 and look at yet another
clue for the values of L,R,C (where L+R=C).
    • Zoom in the trash bin and zoom again inside; collect Diamond #22.
    • After zooming out, zoom again in the trash bin and click on the right
of it to take a yellow key from below.
    • Zoom in the drawer right of the door and use the key to open it; take
Diamond #23 and some nippers from inside.
    • In inventory, select the wire and click on the bottom left little magnifier
to open an Item View; use the nippers on it to get a hook.
    • Turn left.

    • Zoom in the cupboard and use the hook on the floor, right below the
center of the cupboard; take the puzzle box.
    • In inventory, magnify the puzzle box and click on its left side, open the
batteries cover and place your batteries inside. Click on the right side
to see it in its original view and click again on the top to use it.
Click on the ‘START’ button and see the order the 9 buttons in the
3x3 grid turn on. Click on the buttons following the same sequence.
WARNING: The buttons light on in a different order every time,
so you’d better make notes of the sequence to press.
If done correctly, the box will open and you can get the blue knob.
    • Go back to the right.

Zoom in the drawer table again, open it and click on the top right part of
the inside to have another zoomed view; use the blue knob in there and
click continuously on it to open a secret compartment where you can
take Diamond #24 and a brown knob from.
    • Turn right

    • Zoom in the left side of the big pink cupboard and use the horns to
remove the cover (if you haven’t done it already); zoom in the hole
and place the brown knob there.
    • Now the three dials can be used. Solve the clues and use the values for
left (L), right (R) and central (C) dials (remember the one in the center
is behind the clock on top shelf). Once solved and done, the middle part
of the big cupboard will open to reveal another code panel.
    Solution Below
    • Use now the yellow note to figure out the values for ABCD, enter them in
the code panel (in that order) and get Diamond #25 and the exit key.
    Solution Below
    • Go left.

    • Use the key on the door to make your escape and… that’s it! CONGRATS!

Lightful Drawing Room Escape - SOLUTIONS

    ─────────────────────────────────────────────
    Solution to L-R-C Code

We know from the clue on the wall that L, R and C refer to the dials on top and on the sides of the big pink cupboard.
We know that mathematically L+R=C from the picture.
And the equation 3*C=2*L*R from the plant is what you must use to know the values of each of the dials in the pink cupboard.
There’s no other way to solve this (as far as I can tell) but to try a little substitution by trial and error until getting the right combination, as I did. But the main idea, and with the clues we have in hand, is to find 2 numbers (L & R) that multiplied by 2 equal another number (C) multiplied by 3, conditioned with the premise of the sum of L and R equals C.
I hope someone could explain it in a better, easier or more practical way.
This is then the right combination:

    3*C=2*L*R
    3*8=2*2*6
    24 = 24

Therefore, set the pink cupboard dials in:
    Left: 2
    Right: 6
    Center: 8

    ─────────────────────────────────────────────
    Solution to the ABCD Code

The only clue we have for this one is the yellow note that says ABxA=CAD.
And again, trial and error is needed to find, at least, one of the possible combinations. Know that any of them works to open the ABCD safe.
The easiest way to do this would be to assign a number standing for ‘A’, being the one that repeats the most.

    Let’s say A=1:
    1 B x 1 = C 1 D Where the other values would still have to be filled in:
    1 _ x 1 = _ 1 _
It won’t work because any value we can use on ‘B’ (making a number from 10 to 19 and multiplied by 1) wouldn’t match with the 3-digits equation in the other side… and that could be seen being the same with 2 and 3.

    Let’s say A=4:
    4 _ x 4 = _ 4 _
You would have to change the value of ‘B’ and try every possibility (multiplying 41x4, 42x4, 43x4, 44x4 and so on) until finding the one having a number 4 in the middle of the 3 digits in the result… and non of them will do :(

    But it does if A = 5 (!!!):
    5 _ x 5 = _ 5 _
The first try (B=1) does it:
    51 x 5 = 255 and substituting the numbers in the equation:
    ABxA=CAD   we find that
    A=5
    B=1
    C=2
    D=5
And we could get now a code from here: ABCD=5125,
but… it’s not the only possible combination!

Trying A=6 we could also get:
    6 _ x 6 = _ 6 _
Where B=1 also carries out the premise:
    61 x 6 = 366
Therefore, another possible combination/code would be:
    ABCD=6136

In short, and knowing in advance that A can be 5, 6, 8 or 9 after trying every possibility, we can get to know that:

    51*5 = 255 ABCD = 5125
    61*6 = 366 ABCD = 6136
    86*8 = 688 ABCD = 8668
    99*9 = 891 ABCD = 9981

Enter whatever of the codes listed above in the final panel, they all work.
    ─────────────────────────────────────────────
    Final words
Thanks to @OrangeIceCube for keeping me out of doing something I’d wanted to do since I played the game live, namely going through the game the needed times to check every code… but finally glad I didn’t have to :)
It’s always good to find in you another ‘curious’ fellow escaper here who try to go further into the games when they offer/deserve a little deeper inspection. And we are quite a bunch!

  145. out relying heavily on Edgar's walkthrough for the math codes. I didn't feel like doing trial and error to get the codes. I wish there was a clue in the game.

    ReplyDelete
  146. caught this one from the random section

some tricky spots to find (as usual)
thankfully there's a WT I could rely on
    (esp. re maths)

thx for all your cool creations, F512 ☺
