  3. well, i drive by this place a few times a week but I am stuck

    ReplyDelete
  4. It's not the name of the restaurant either. Hm.
If you need to find the tower you can google for "impressive towers of the world"

    ReplyDelete
  5. ok.. the tower is the space needle. the restaurant on the top is skycity. the town is seattle. it was for the worlds fair.

    ReplyDelete
  6. finally got past 13a. moving on.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I'm stumped on 14.

    ReplyDelete
  8. ok...had to leave for a little while, now I am behind again.....back to 13a...

    ReplyDelete
  9. Space needle... SkyCity restaurant? nothing working

    ReplyDelete
  10. Got 14. Add the city -3 words-

    ReplyDelete
  11. @Enjoy I have a sister on Whidbey Island. Beautiful place!

    ReplyDelete
  12. So 14 is the seattle tower or the space neelde, isn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  13. @EnJoy, the restaurant was also called "eye of the needle" or "emerald suite" but that's not helpful.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I tried "moon", lol. Nope.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh, thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Thanks @Edgar!! It's hard to know how many things to add in this game. On 14a now.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Thanks Edgar.
But that's what I don't like about these games.
Why the city and the name and why in that order?

    ReplyDelete
  18. there is a famous park in seattle to view the space needle.. I can't remember it. I have to go. The space needle is also located in the Seattle Center

    ReplyDelete
  19. no idea of the why s-t, i wish some game could be consistent in their structure.

Well, 832 didnt work on 14a.

    ReplyDelete
  20. It's great when it's possible to google the whole question and see the answer. On 15 now.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Woo hoo, on to 15.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I lost all my notes for 13a...I'm stuck! lol

    ReplyDelete
  23. It should be 832. But how do you spell that in English?

And yes, why not include in the question what city or the name of the building or something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Got 15 easily since i trekked there once. It's in Peru.

    ReplyDelete
  25. i have a photo i took of that llama. having sex with another llama. true story.

    ReplyDelete
  26. @small-tool, write three numbers, but you're missing some steps inside the restaurant i guess. Google the question.

@jonthewatch, find an alternative name for the roanoke and use two words from it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The space needle's official web site has the correct number of steps, just use the numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Thanks Ellie, already found that one and it seems there are two different answers.
But 15 is obviously Peru but where?

    ReplyDelete
  29. For 16, the biggest and most important of the Mayan ruins in Mexico.
    16a will need to anagram.

    ReplyDelete
  30. s-t, the same could go for 15. The most important of the Incas.

    ReplyDelete
  31. @s-t its the thing you find at the end of the inka trail.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Nvm. 15 was the most famous one.

    ReplyDelete
  33. And thanks again Edgar and Ellie, somehow you catalyze my POP too.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Temporarily stuck on 18.

    ReplyDelete
  35. ohhh stupid, of course! got 18... geez!

    ReplyDelete
  36. For 16a i found a page that gave me the wrong letter. Same letter should not be used twice.

    ReplyDelete
  37. And again I'm doing something wrong because the Apurimac River and the Urubamba River doesn't work on 15a!?

    ReplyDelete
  38. For 16a I used this site:
    http://www.ancientscripts.com/maya.html

    ReplyDelete
  39. s-t, only the name... drop the river

    see what i (we) mean?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hint for level 17, it's in Japan.
I need help for 18a, anyone near?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Thanks.
Yes of course why not loose river now and add a city in front of a tower name somewhere else.

    ReplyDelete
  42. i just got to 18a @Edgar, i'll let you know if i get anything

    ReplyDelete
  43. Great zoz, aware with the tricked question.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I got 18a, I had the character but was spelling it wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  45. 19 looks like South America...

    ReplyDelete
  46. ah, the bells, the bells!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Finally got the name of 18a, be sure of the spelling.
    No idea for 19 yet.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Thought that 16 would be Chichén Itzá or Chitzen Itza. But no.

    ReplyDelete
  49. @small-tool, check your spelling

    ReplyDelete
  50. @small-tool, right place, wrong spelling. Get rid of the accents.

    ReplyDelete
  51. You'd think I know how to google church pictures by now, but still very stuck on 19 :(

    ReplyDelete
  52. small tool, it is. No caps or special characters. Make sure you've put 16. I went through about 8 different ruins names with 15 infront.*insert exasperated smiley*

    ReplyDelete
  53. Thanks girls.
Starting to hate this game. First I went wrong a lot of times with uppercase letters and now accents as well.

    ReplyDelete
  54. i think i found the cathdral, but I haven't figured out how to answer the stupid query! it's in london

    ReplyDelete
  55. lol @Edgar, how did you enter the name?

    ReplyDelete
  56. oh zoz, should have refreshed.

hm... it's 3 words, the first one abbreviated.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Thanks for 19! Lol, I looked at that place in so many pictures but didn't think it looked exactly the same. Now i decidded to try at least, since it was in England.

    ReplyDelete
  58. For 19, it's 3 words, the full title.

    ReplyDelete
  59. thx @Edgar, i must've spelled something wrong or forgot the number or any of a million other picky things

    ReplyDelete
  60. And temp end at 20a.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Congrats @cricketer!!
I'm trying to remember what 20 is.

    ReplyDelete
  62. and finally on to 20!!!
    hint for 19a, he's a lord

    ReplyDelete
  63. Temp End...

Thanks all for the fun, especially Jon for submitting... we should do this more often, don't you think Jon?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Thanks Ellie.

    20 is related to 19a.

I wouldn't have got quite a few of those without help.

    ReplyDelete
  65. anyone have a hint for 20???

    ReplyDelete
  66. ah, thx @cricketeer, I was wondering if it didn't depict one of his battles...

    ReplyDelete
  67. Thanks, got 20 with the hint! Temp end for me too :)

    ReplyDelete
  68. Going back to pic 20, you can actually zoom in it to read the text below the plaque.

    ReplyDelete
  69. And I'm still way behind.
Stuck on 16a, used Edgar's site and know which ones are missing, but that's all.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Don't forget to bookmark the page everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  71. free at last, free at last thank god almighty i am free at last!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  72. @small-tool, anagram them. Use an online solver if you need to.

    ReplyDelete
  73. @small-tool take the first letter of each missing and anagram it

    ReplyDelete
  74. LOL @zoz! But it was a nice captivity. At least great company :D

    ReplyDelete
  75. small tool, anagram the letters.

    http://anagram-solver.utsire.com/

    ReplyDelete
  76. And of course, it was an anagram.
    Thanks again.

    ReplyDelete
  77. it's always fun to play with you @Ellie, even if that means i'm usually a few steps behind. I'm off now to feed some animals (including me!)

one last word @small-tool, don't be a blockhead!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Thanks @zoz, and have a nice meal! I could eat something really big and fat myself right now. This game took a bit longer than planned (not surprised though).

Don't forget to have a look at the link on 20a. Some nice buildings there :)

    ReplyDelete
  79. look out for the next riddle..... :)

    ReplyDelete
  80. zoz,
I never played with Ian Dury.
And I have no problems with anagrams, just forget sometimes its anagrams you need.
Anyway going to bed, but wanna try to to finish it tomorrow (would be the first time ever I finish a riddle game).
So for tomorrow a hint; on 17 am I looking for the name af a baseball stadium, the city or a combination?

Good night all and thanlks for all the help.

    ReplyDelete
  81. What was the answer to 13, the sur le Pont d'Avignon one? Did anyone get that and then a question for 13a?

I tried all combinations of ponts and bridges, I tried French and English words, st benezet, avignon, I was on the bridge, under the bridge, in the water, I tried dancing, not dancing and yet ended up going straight to 14 with the chapel answer?

    ReplyDelete
  82. http://www.amgineriddles.com/worldagain/8iron.htm

    http://www.amgineriddles.com/worldagain/9pontdavignon.htm

    ReplyDelete
  83. @small-tool, when you come back tomorrow try this: google "domed baseball stadiums". As I recall it was two words, with the first word being the name of the city (but i'm not positive about that)

@cricketer9999 I wish I could answer your question, but i think my brain has quit on me. I am once again LeadHead

    ReplyDelete
  84. hey @jon, what's the chemical abbreviation for iron?

    ReplyDelete
  85. small tool, zoz was giving you a hint for 16a ;-)

For 17, the answer includes the name of a city.

Edgar gave the country, google images for that along with baseball stadium, and it will be on the first page.

    ReplyDelete
  86. lol, yes yes...I know it's fe Zoz...brain not working terribly well at the minute....

    ReplyDelete
  87. Aha! So we did get to 9a even if it was written as 9 twice. That "a" must have escaped to the answer to level 3a.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Oh, thanks Jon I got that page but thought it was an egg saying I didn't have the correct answer

    ReplyDelete
  89. say Jon, should we be ready anytime soon or it will be for next weekend?

    ReplyDelete
  90. It could appear anytime Edgar....did everyone finish Cipher: Crack the code??

    ReplyDelete
  91. I couldn't finish it Jon, I didn't feel like downloading a program to make some unknown mumbojumbo with the images only to get past one lousy level. You should know, the one with a colored table.

Maybe if someone could spoil that one to me (don't look around Jon!) I might give it another go.

    ReplyDelete
  92. So 20 is the end for now? sounds good. I made it... a few hours behind lol. :)

    ReplyDelete
  93. Thanks to everyone, that was great fun

What happens when the author adds more levels? Will this thread be put back at the top, similar to the replay ones, or do we keep checking back to see if there are any new posts?

Also, is it possible to talk to someone or contact them on here, not going through the walkthrough pages? (That's something I've been meaning to ask for a while)

    ReplyDelete
  94. okay is anyone still here cuz i'm stuck on 13a :( came back from class and got to here...*sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  95. @cricketer, there is the chatbox (link on top of this page) if you want to chat with people online. Many of us have an email-address if you click the avatar.
If you want to say something to Yalcin (site manager) you can use the contact link, also shown on top of this page.

When there are new levels it might be posted again, if someone tells Yalcin about it and he finds it a good idea.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Thanks Ellie.

Would I need a blogger account to do that?

When I first visited here, this style of posting was new to me and I set up a wordpress account. Every time I post at the moment I have to do a mini sign in.

    ReplyDelete
  97. @Candi, for 13a, google Roanoke star and read wikipedia.
Find a nickname for the city. The solution is two out of the five words in that nickname.

@cricketer, I'm not sure if the c-box works with other accounts than a google account. That's what I have, and I only tried that. I only have to sign in once... why don't you try to get a google account? Just choose Google Account in the "comment as"-box. Write something and click preview. You'll be asked to create an account which only needs an email address from you.

    ReplyDelete
  98. you can send me an email asking about new levels or riddles. I am found in the cbox (chat) at EG24 regularly and: ishwatch@gmail.com

Also, lots of the EG24 regulars are to be found on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/watchrepairsUK and send me a message for info on some eg24 regular people :)

    ReplyDelete
  99. Thanks, I'll set up another account.

Jon, thanks I've made a note of those. Maybe you should delete the email address to avoid the spam bots.

    ReplyDelete
  100. it's ok cricketer...I have long offered an email address for eg24 people.....I have been a go-between for some time now :)

    ReplyDelete
  101. @Jon, if you're still around... did you play Marv Riddle 2 and solve the Hellish Bonus level? If so, would you mind sending (e-mailing or FB-messaging) a hint for that one? I just can't figure out how to work the 8 eggs i got.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Ah ok, fair enough :)

    ReplyDelete
  103. ha ha Edgar...sorry, that stumped me.....you did better on that riddle than I! I might go back to it soon though so if I do, I have you on FB and will let you know :)

    ReplyDelete
  104. 11
This is ‘kinda ka’ ,isn't it?
I have no idea the name of this part.

    ReplyDelete
  105. @Crook, check your spelling.

    ReplyDelete
  106. The author has added new levels.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Wow.. new level.. ah stuck!

    ReplyDelete
  108. And already stuck on level 21.
    Bach in the source.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Bach wrote a famous concerto that might lead you to the right place....but I am stuck on 21a???

    ReplyDelete
  110. ok.. not stuck. found where it is

    ReplyDelete
  111. I'm on 21a too. Looking for somewhere to go clockwise.

    ReplyDelete
  112. 21a. go clockwise? hm...

    ReplyDelete
  113. Thanks I now what 21 is but it won't accept my answer with or without tor.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I know what it is.. where it is, but my computer is frozen!

    ReplyDelete
  115. @small-tool.. it won't except mine either

    ReplyDelete
  116. Use the english name for it. I tried tor first as well.

    ReplyDelete
  117. oh surprise.. 21a has me stumped

    ReplyDelete
  118. Thanks for 21, but it's stupid, that's not the proper name.
    21a now.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Do the columns have names?

    ReplyDelete
  120. the gate appears on several euro coins surrounded by 12 stars for the European union, but they have so many interpretations! This is a hard level...

    ReplyDelete
  121. the stars on the german euro coins represents countries but I cant find if there is an order

    ReplyDelete
  122. darn, gotta go for a while...will come back later

    ReplyDelete
  123. the stars are also on the flag of the European Union.. each star represents a country...

    ReplyDelete
  124. never mind about the stars representing the countries.. that is not true

    ReplyDelete
  125. the 12 stars on the flag were adopted back when the European Union had 6 countries. Wiki gives me at least 18 different interpretations of those 12 stars.
Well, maybe it's not what we're looking for.

    ReplyDelete
  126. It's one of 18 gates in the former wall, but moving around among them doesnt give me a word yet.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Now I tried using the 18 gates surrounding Berlin, counting clockwise from top and from THE ONE here, but no go...

    ReplyDelete
  128. Give up for now, come back later.
The gates don't work, doesn't matter where you start.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Stuck in the same place.

I've tried counting the gates. Taking b.... as 1 and as 0. Nothing so far.

    ReplyDelete
  130. anyone on 23a - got the answer but not working?

    ReplyDelete
  131. @Alison, we are all stuck on 21a, so if you want help on 23a it would be great with a hint for 21a ;)

    ReplyDelete
  132. for 21a wiki b---------g g--e, enlarge map and go clockwise from b, gate

    ReplyDelete
  133. enlarge map of berlin excise wall

    ReplyDelete
  134. @alison, that's what we have been doing! Well, going again then...

    ReplyDelete
  135. Hm... i tried that before.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Thanks @Alison! On 22 now. So silly... I tried everything but that before.

    ReplyDelete
  137. The B.... is number one...

    ReplyDelete
  138. you're welcome - got 23a now

    ReplyDelete
  139. Oh no! Level 22a quickly gave me a headache. Need to read that hint again, and again...

    ReplyDelete
  140. ok, on 22 now, and i see "my" mistake.

Unterbaum is NOT one of the 18 gates... lame!

    ReplyDelete
  141. Still no go on 21a.
Is it a real word, are the letters an anagram?

    ReplyDelete
  142. @small-tool, a real word and no anagram. Start counting the B... as number one and move clockwise. Also count Unterbaum. First letters.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Well, just in case someone needs to know...

    22 is in Jerusalem.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Does 23a relate to 23 at all or is it completely separate because I can't find that flag.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Ellie,
Edgar says no Unterbaum, you say count Unterbaum?
    Anyway I get fuofw!!?

    ReplyDelete
  146. Nvm, got it, start at 1 everytime.

    ReplyDelete
  147. @Small-tool, you should count it. Edgar meant that he didn't do that before since it's not a gate.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Just to make things clear, Unterbaum appears on the map and it has to be included/counted, even when it's not one of the 18 gates, but a bridge.

    ReplyDelete
  149. I'm still totally lost, trying to make sense of the hint in 22a. The product of the sum of the previous term and 3 and 2 and -1?? Hm, maybe I'd do better without the hint.

    ReplyDelete
  150. @Ellie you would do better without it. I just looked at the pattern in the numbers and was able to get it.

    ReplyDelete
  151. For 23a it looks like there's a clue in the source, but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to know the answer to the clue that's given.

    ReplyDelete
  152. 22 is easy, just a normal series.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Finally got 21a.. how many times can a person actually count incorrectly??? jeez.. moving on!

    ReplyDelete
  154. @Ellie (or anyone stuck on 22a) try this link; http://www.research.att.com/~njas/sequences/

    ReplyDelete
  155. Thanks @abba!! That did it. I shouldn't have cared about that hint in the first place. 23 now.

    ReplyDelete
  156. yw @Ellie. I tried reading the hint 10 times or so and it hurt my brain so I figured I'd just look at the numbers. =)

    ReplyDelete
  157. Lol @small-tool... close :)
@zoz, thanks but I got it the "easy" way. Just looked at the differences. They increases in a specific pattern.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Oh... NOW I see what that link was about. Thanks again @zoz! Good to have!

    ReplyDelete
  159. Is 23a about a special Swedish national day?

    ReplyDelete
  160. For 22a, what i got from the hint is simple:

    [ (LAST + 3) (2) ] - PENULTIMATE

The hint it's confusing and, with that "-1" is also mathematically wrong. Lameness #2...

    ReplyDelete
  161. @s-t I've been trying to look that up too but it looks like for their Swedish national day they just use the Swedish flag.

    ReplyDelete
  162. I know about that flag and the day, but I can't make it work. Its sami.

    ReplyDelete
  163. @ellie, look at clue 'ordinal number'

    ReplyDelete
  164. For 23a, sami is correct. make sure to enter the complete month.

    ReplyDelete
  165. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  166. I must be spelling it wrong, because i have the national day of Sami people/ but it isn't working. you would think I, of all people, would know the Sami national day!

    ReplyDelete
  167. Finally on 24! I kept writing 06 and 6. Ordinal!!!

    ReplyDelete
  168. 23a. And of course, after the month, add the ordinal fomr of the number.

    ReplyDelete
  169. @small-tool, check the level number. You are right.

    ReplyDelete
  170. @small-tool, and change that I to a Y.

    ReplyDelete
  171. @small-tool English spelling for month

    ReplyDelete
  172. hm, well s-t, other than missing the level number, february ends with a "Y"

    ReplyDelete
  173. For 24 add "mountain" to the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  174. oh, jeez, on 23a i was writing either the numeral by itself or spelling out the ordinal number. Picky picky picky!

    ReplyDelete
  175. 24 is in Brazil. I'm stuck on 24a.

    ReplyDelete
  176. For 24a, you need "whose" that place is... enter the portuguese name, forget about English this time... and remember, no special characters like ã

    ReplyDelete
  177. Thanks @Edgar! I kept trying the english name.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Is 24a still in Brazil?
    Cathedral?

    ReplyDelete
  179. right s-t, Rio to be exact.

    ReplyDelete
  180. yes @small-tool, if you google cathedral and rio you should get pictures that leads you the right way.

For 25, I googled "huge tree drive through" lol.
    On 25a now.

    ReplyDelete
  181. so stuck on 25 - seem to have tried everything!

    ReplyDelete
  182. 12 letters @small-tool (two words)

    ReplyDelete
  183. only 2 words, s-t, but in Portuguese.

    ReplyDelete
  184. @Alison, 25... If you google "huge tree drive through" and look at pics, you'll find it in the first page.
    Second row.

    ReplyDelete
  185. @ellie how many words for 25?

    ReplyDelete
  186. Thanks, kept typing it wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  187. For 25a, don't look for Heights but Volumes.
