two words, each four letters. also the name of the band.
ReplyDeleteand it doesn't work for me!
ReplyDeleteerm, i meant first word five letters, second four letters.
ReplyDeleteo for heavens sake just tell me the answer!
That's correct Zoz, check the number is correct and the spelling...I was stuck on level 6 because I didn't spell it right! Grrrrrrr (Fe says Hi)
ReplyDeleteI loved the first one and completed it quickly, this one I am really struggling with (but I have an abscessed tooth that is driving me nuts and may be affecting my thought process (poor excuse but it's all I have))
arrrgghgghhh try number forty seven did the trick. Must be POHAHF (Power Of Having A Hissy Fit)
ReplyDeleteooooh, so sorry about your tooth! And hi back at Feline!
ReplyDeleteAll I can find is a band that's named like the answer for 7 but that gives me no answer. Is there a town or a place on top of the mountain/hill/rock with a special name?
ReplyDeleteAnd sorry about the tooth too. And of course it affects the thought process, it eats your brain out.
@small tool, check the wikipedia entry for the band and look at their singles titles...
ReplyDeleteokay i'm so sorry guys lol...but i'm so stuck on 6a...grrr, i get that he is, but dont understand what its asking for *sigh*
ReplyDeleteThanks zoz, forgot about the singles.
ReplyDeleteCandi, look for a famous quote where he says he isn't.
@Candi, bing "The P_______ tv show quotations"
ReplyDeletethen check jonthewatch's hint at 11:34
I haven't any clue about #8
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete8 Finally one in my backyard.
ReplyDeletewhere, exactly is your backyard @small-tool ?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29JewlGsYxs&feature=related
ReplyDeleteOpps...this one has the quote needed ;)
And thanks for the sympathy (Fe doesn't care)
Owww, sorry, she does!
oh my i have tried that phrase a dozen times already but wasnt putting the "i am" haha...thanks guys!
ReplyDeletehaha @jon tell Feline to behave!
ReplyDeleteUnder the bridge?? (@lvl 9)
ReplyDeleterhone.....rhoneriver......and out of ideas....
Well zoz, you know what country I live in, it's in the capital and somehow the capital of Europe as well.
ReplyDeletejon, the picture has a name as well but that brings me to Arnhem in the Netherlands but that's not working.
ReplyDelete....and the name of the image helps!
ReplyDelete@Zoz, I won't tell Fe.....I'm frightened of her!!
@small-tool, lvl 9 is the Pont D'Avignon
ReplyDelete9pontdavignon.htm gives an egg, but now I am wondering where to go.....under the bridge!!??
ReplyDeleteThanks jon, just found out.
ReplyDeletethank you @small-tool!!!
ReplyDeleteJohn, does Fe know she's the answer to one of the questions?
'sur' is about or on or at but not under.
ReplyDeleteis she Zoz...which one?
ReplyDeleteThanks Small-tool, my French is remedial!
what is the answer for 6a?
ReplyDelete@jon, 8a
ReplyDeleteso the rhone is literally under the pont, but sur le pont is also a song... not getting it though
Sur le pont d'Avignon. Is a (childrens) song about the Saint Bénézet bridge but nothing is working.
ReplyDeleteAnd for 6a, Are we allowed to give straight answers?
i tried "lonydanse' and "wherewedance", nyet
ReplyDelete@lolita I am not a.....!!!
ReplyDeletebtw @lolita, that was supposed to be a clue, it just didn't sound right
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm not a 'number' you just can call for an answer and that doesn't sound right either but is also supposed to be a clue.
ReplyDeletefor 6a, I don't think anyone would object to an answer given, due to the difficulty of the level.
ReplyDeletethe exact phrase is needed for 6a
ReplyDeleteokay so on 7a now..got the group, got the singles, not sure how to interpret the numbers though...
ReplyDeletehas anyone answered 9a?
ReplyDeletechapel of saint nicholas for 9 (not 9a), but how is it written? I have tried a number of different ways but no joy.
ReplyDelete@Zoz, are you on 9 or 9a? 9 has an egg.....
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletecan i ask what you guys are talking about when you say it has an egg?
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid 9a is still to come. I think officially we're still on 9.
ReplyDeleteBut no, tried to finish the sentence of the song in French and English, but no go.
By the way, the song was originally about people dancing 'under' the bridge.
Candi,
First letters and start with the fifth single.
An egg is a help page, an egg appears when you are close to the answer but not quite there....
ReplyDeleteGotta go for an hour, I shall return!! Good luck all.
Jon,
ReplyDeleteFor 9 loose the chapel.
10 is in (just outside) Australia.
ReplyDeleteThanks small tool, that's taken me on to 10. I think I missed 9.
ReplyDeleteProblems with 10a now.
ReplyDeleteThink we're looking for an island and compass probably tells us to look north.
thanks @small-tool! I thought that was 9a, on to a Great place
ReplyDeleteOk.. stuck on 6 a.. I've read the comments but still don't get it. It just says 6
ReplyDeleteWell, although I'm glad to give, for the first time in history, a hint/answer in a riddle game, the credits really have to go to jonthewatch.
ReplyDeleteEnJoy,
ReplyDeleteon 12:48 I almost gave the answer. Just get rid off the 'And' and change I'm into I am.
10a i've tried hammerford, hamilton, lizard, dunk, orpheus and a few other islands. don't have the patience to try each one with and without the word island.
ReplyDeleteSmall-tool.. ok onto 7 now, but what does that answer mean? I am not a number?
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
enjoy it was a quote from the main character of the show
ReplyDelete10a.....a compass is m*g*e*i*..........
ReplyDeletethat followed by what it is....
http://www.smallguide.com.au/mapqld_nqi.html
need to finish dinner...back in half-hour :)
ReplyDelete@ Candi.. what show?
ReplyDeletejon to the rescue again! I was concentrating on fraser island because it's a world heritage site and that seems to be a common theme here...
ReplyDeleteclue for 9a please
ReplyDelete@EnJoy...the answer to number 6 was the shooting location of an old tv show...the main character was called number six...his common quote was the answer to 6a
ReplyDeleteI do NOT see a compass...what are you guys talking about as far as a compass goes?
trying saint benezet, but no good
ReplyDeleteOh no, I've been on that site and tried all the islands there and it didn't work.
ReplyDeleteDo I have to try them again with or without island or maybe islands?
@ allison...translate the words...non non sur le pont...then look at that picture from 9 again
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo... I did 7 and 7a! On to 8. By the way, you people are brilliant!!!!!
ReplyDelete@ thanks Candi.. not familiar with the show.. moving on! ;)
ReplyDeletei know that is Chang, but I don't know what to put for 11
ReplyDeleteThanks @siegbrunn for number 6!! I was really stuck there as well. You should post more often ;)
ReplyDeleteMoving on behind you now...
@zoz...how did you get 10a? jon mentioned something about a compass but so lost on this one! other than the obvious island factor
ReplyDeletenevermind...omg LOL woots onto 11
ReplyDeleteAlison,
ReplyDeleteAt 12:58 PM jon almost gave the answer, just combine that with my comment at 01:03 PM.
Candi,
In the source is the word compass, but you can see it as well if you try to download the picture.
Help on 10a please.
ReplyDelete@candi thanks trying st nicolas chapel but that's not right help!!
ReplyDelete@small tool, go to the website jon posted and look for an island that's m_g__t_c
ReplyDeleteI'm sick of seeing "wrong answer"!
Alison st is saint and no chapel.
ReplyDelete@alison...drop the word chapel lol
ReplyDelete@small...i got it and am on 11 but still no idea where you got compass LOL oh well
great, thanks both!
ReplyDeleteThanks zoz.
ReplyDelete@Candi "compass" was in the source code.
ReplyDeletethe hint in the source code for 11 is "fast", but 63mph isn't the answer
ahhhh thanks zoz...i see now i've tried worldrecord too since it had one for speed but no go
ReplyDeleteCandi,
ReplyDeletewith riddle games there's often information in the source.
You can see the source if you go to the bar with help, extra favourites etc. and there the menu image (I think that's what it's called in English) and there you can open source.
@small-tool....thanks much! good to know...so are you on 11 yet? so stuck LOL
ReplyDeleteSo for 11, are we looking for the fastest rollercoaster in the world?
ReplyDeleteAnd is it the name of the park, the city or the rollercoaster?
okay so thats a pic of the chang...the chang is steel look up the fastest steel
ReplyDeletewoots 11a now :D
coaster btw small-tool
ReplyDeleteFor 11, not only the faster but also the tallest roller coaster in the world.
ReplyDeleteall good questions @small-tool, and i've tried each of the answers both for the place the picture was taken and the place it's being moved to. I think fatigue is settling in here.
ReplyDeleteYep it was the fastest (biggets). Now on 11a.
ReplyDeletezoz...not the coaster in the pic...but merely the fastest coaster in the world...the pic just tells us that is a steel coaster we are looking for
ReplyDeleteand Candi surges ahead! (the crowd roars "raaahraaaah")
ReplyDeletehi @Edgar!
okay unfortunately i have to head out i have class in less than an hour :( good luck y'all...see you around!
ReplyDeleteback....for 11, that part of the coaster has a name ;)
ReplyDeletelol zoz...it took me a bit to understand what i was doin i've never played one of these before!
ReplyDeletehi Edgar, welcome aboard this infuriating riddle...
ReplyDeleteAh great Edgar is back.
ReplyDeleteNow we'll go faster than a rollercoaster.
Isn't that something from Buddy Holly?
we'll miss you @Candi!
ReplyDeletethanks jon? hahaha :P
ReplyDeleteok the source code says !six flags, but the answer implies 13 or more of something
ReplyDeleteI've tried the names of the parks and their locations for those numbers zoz. cant spell anything.
ReplyDeletezoz,
ReplyDeleteAlready tried Six Flags Great Adventure and Jackson New Jersey for 13 letters but no go.
@Edgar, i spelled something with the names of the parks and locations. it's spelled "ktmif" and "amvav" and "tgctc"
ReplyDeletealso...back for a few haha...the page is titled thrilling? maybe means something maybe doesn't!
ReplyDeleteand if you take the colors of the flags, you can spell "olgee". My brains are leaking out!
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should take ONLY the 6-flags "thrill parks"?
ReplyDelete@zoz, I managed to spell "bgrer" from the roller coasters in six flags, Jackson. Very proud of that.
ReplyDeletegongtats @Ellie!
ReplyDeleteTy :D
ReplyDeleteokay i really have to go this time good luck guys...see you around!
ReplyDeletewow, according to wikipedia, six flags new england opened in 1840. I don't think I would ride a roller coaster that old.
ReplyDeleteat least we are learning things - but what is the answer!?!
ReplyDeleteNow I got "tesso" from the Seal of Texas. Still not very useful.
ReplyDeletecan't believe it, I got it (11a) - probably the only one playing!
ReplyDeleteGreat Alison,
ReplyDeleteNow please some hints.
@Alison, do tell!
ReplyDeleteI've just found out that on Oct 24 six flags parks will try to beat the record for most people dancing to Thriller around the world
Not at all @Alison, we're some more around trying to get it. Great job!
ReplyDeleteAny hint?
@Alison, we will hunt you down and find you!
ReplyDeletegoogle name of roller coaster in 11, remember hint 'thrills'
ReplyDeleteYeah zoz, and probably somewhere in New England.
ReplyDelete11 in what list? thrilling Road Runner? :S
ReplyDeleteThanks @alison! Exactly what I did before, but at another site lol. This was a better order.
ReplyDeleteok, just went and had a look for somewhere to apply those numbers....not getting anywhere quickly, but Alison has....well done!
ReplyDeletealright, now we're moving
ReplyDeletesorry@edgar should have said level 11
ReplyDeleteAnd the site is...?
ReplyDelete@small-tool, you need the official site for the six flag park where the specific roller-coaster is. Look for thrill rides.
ReplyDelete12 and 12a wasn't hard, but for 13 i might need a while.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alison.
ReplyDeletek***** k* thrills on google, it's the top result.
Thanks you very much Ellie.
ReplyDelete12 not hard?
ReplyDeleteWhy isn't 12 venice?
oh oh...I'm falling behind here.....
ReplyDeleteNvm. It was the bridge.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I didn't realise we changed comment page.
ReplyDeleteNow, please tell me someone knows the star thing in lvl 13. I don't.
small tool, name of the bridge.
ReplyDelete@jonthewatch, you're a master of these things. I'm not worried about you falling behind... you'll run past us any minute lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks cricketer9999.
ReplyDeleteBut just found out, but no idea about 12a?
@small-tool, another name. Look at pics in google.
ReplyDeleteOk.. for the roller coaster thrill.. I went to the official site of the roller coaster, and saw the list of thrill rides. 1-13. I am taking the first letter of each of the numbered rides and I got "bsden".. not working :(
ReplyDeleteThe picture name is a vague clue. Think of another word in English that sounds like 'size'.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellie,
ReplyDeleteAnd I really liked the hint in the source (size).
cricketer9999,
ReplyDeleteIt seems you're my personal POP activator. Thanks for that.
anyone got level 13?
ReplyDeletestill need 11a.. the roller coaster one.
ReplyDeletelol....I have a page covered with letters from 11a but still no answer! Who said I was good at these things???
ReplyDelete@EnJoy, are you sure you are in the correct park? Great Adventure. The top one should be: Superman: Ultimate Flight
ReplyDeletei spell BSDEN from this list
ReplyDeletehttp://www.sixflags.com/greatadventure/rides/thrillrides.aspx
can someone please post the correct link?

ReplyDeletePop.. I was counting wrong! 100 tries later :)
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone.. I was counting the "batman ride as #1
ReplyDeleteWhere did Batman come from????
ReplyDeleteHe wasn't there before.
@Lolita, you have the right site. Looks like the same mistake as EnJoy did.
ReplyDelete@ Lolita, I did the same thing.. don't include the Batman ride
ReplyDeletebatman is on top! whats wrong?
ReplyDeletelol @Cricketer, Batman is mentioned there. Strangely enough, it wasn't that clear before since there is a picture under it. But it should have been the first one. Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that the first time I looked at that site, Superman was at number 1. I didn't even see Batman.
ReplyDeleteThe Caped Crusader strikes again.
13 is probably a famous place, but I don't travel around and have never seen it. So completely no idea at all.
ReplyDeletegoing back to that site, now i see batman is indeed on top, but expanded. Something we missed and the author too.
ReplyDeleteHoly mixed up thrill rides, Ellie.
ReplyDeletestupid authors should know what they do before!
ReplyDelete@Edgar, the author rushed this game....you can tell it is not as polished as the first Around the World riddle.
ReplyDeletelol @cricketer....very good!
ReplyDeleteWasn't that 'holy ravioli' cricketer9999?
ReplyDeleteLol @cricketer! Still stairing at the stars.
ReplyDelete13 looks like a light. Could it be somewhere like hollywood?
ReplyDeletelol!!
ReplyDeletei;m back! thank god for number 12 and 12a!
ReplyDeleteI guess it might be somewhere in California cricketer, for the Beck reference.
ReplyDeleteroanoke.......13
ReplyDeletegreat jon!
ReplyDeletefor those that didn't do the first riddle....Knaresborough will help you with 13a
ReplyDeleteThanks @jonthewatch!! It took me a while still since it wasn't the place but the name of the star.
ReplyDeleteI guess 13a is also yours jon
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI knew 13 only because when I was very young my family was visiting a family there and the boys trained the telescope on the star and told me I was looking at a real star. And I believed them!
ReplyDeleteroanoke isn't working for me to get to 13a, but when I try and alternative name that takes me straight to 14. What am I doing wrong?
ReplyDeletelol, jumping levels sounds like a great idea right now Cricketer!
ReplyDeleteGoogle roanoke for an alternative name for the star.
an alternative name brought me to 13a cricketer.
ReplyDeleteAh got it, thanks Jon.
ReplyDeleteOn to 14.
Still no idea about 13a though?
ReplyDeleteLOL @zoz! Good to know how trustful (not naîve) you were as a child :)
ReplyDeleteI'm still on 13a. All i found this far was starbeck in harrogate which isnt what I'm looking for. Going to the cinema instead I guess.
Alternative name for the place.
ReplyDeleteGoogle images, 2nd page, 2nd row down.
I still dont get 4a. I try a lot of words and terms and got nothing. Can someone spoil it for me so I can move on. lol
ReplyDeleteThanks @cricketer!! Lol, that was one of my tries for 13 :)
ReplyDeleteMille, SPOILERWALESSPOILER
ReplyDelete@Millie, I think this was the page that helped me:
ReplyDeletehttp://hubpages.com/hub/royal-line-of-succession
SPOILERWALESSPOILER
ok still stuck on the rialto bridge.. horribly crowded on the bridge.. can't seem to get off.. stuck on 12a. I saw the source that said 12size but I am too stupid for it to help!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@Enjoy Robin Trower did a song by that name...
ReplyDeletei'm stuck on 13a too!
@enjoy....say size out loud and ask anyone what you meant...they may give you two different meanings......
ReplyDelete@EnJoy, google "bridges venice" and look at pictures.
ReplyDeleteok Ellie.. off I go to google
ReplyDeleteFor 13a, You need to google roanoke and find an alternative name for the city. I found it when i looked at roanoke star in wikipedia. Then use two words of that name, or go to the pics, like cricketer said.
ReplyDeleteHee hee....I like playing silly games!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellie.. now off to 13!
ReplyDeletechildish I know, but what fun!!
ReplyDeleteWow.. I got 13!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellie for 13a, that was an obvious name wasn't it?
ReplyDeleteHm... I know the tower in 14, but the name of it doesn't help, nor the city. Must do something wrong.
ReplyDeleteLol @jonthewatch!!
