ReplyDeletetrying to get some help from nordinho
ReplyDeletestupid net crashed...if we can figure out what garden it is, could the numbers be plot numbers?
ReplyDeleteneed to go now, good luck guys :)
ReplyDeletethis website might be helpful.. I am working on the flowers..
ReplyDeletehttp://www.angelfire.com/journal2/flowers/pcd15.html
from what I can find out .. there are several botanical gardens around the world that have plants that are listed in the bible. the plants are displayed with their biblical verse.. see above website
ReplyDeletelater egle :)
ReplyDeleteI give up.
ReplyDeleteGood luck all.
I still think it is in the virtual tour, but probably only because i can´t watch it :-)))
ReplyDeleteI watched the virtual tour.. no help!
ReplyDeletewhere's jonthewatch when you need him??
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone got stuck and than gave up on the answer to 10a. It's just too obscure. I went to Wikipedia, typed in biblical gardens and visited all the sites that are mentioned and took whatever tours they had, and nothing comes even remotely close to even a hint as to what 10a means. VERY FRUSTRATING GAME.
ReplyDeleteI haven't given up yet, just getting chores done lol
ReplyDeleteExtremely poorly designed "game"..... PASS
ReplyDeleteas I can see, nothing has changes since yesterday, there is no one to break the 10a question? i googled everything about biblical gardens and can´t find anythinh useful. anyway, I enjoyed the game and come back to it later to see who is that genius to find the answer :-) good luck
ReplyDeleteI'm stumped. We need a hint here!
ReplyDeleteI solved 10a :)
ReplyDeleteThe virtual tour is very helpful.
There is one place named as a biblical garden.
Go there and read the text about that place.
Use the numbers in that text... 4,1 = 4th word, 1st letter.
For those who don't wishes to download quicktime:
ReplyDeleteThe first part of the text in the "Chapel of Christ in Gethsemane" is: "This Chapel reminds us of Jesus’ agony in the garden prior to his betrayal and arrest."
For 11: not that hard, just use the name of the mountain... one word.
ReplyDelete11a, i googled the whole question and got straight to a good answer. Just the last name.
I'm stuck on 16 since a while. I vaguesly recognize the building, but can't remember or find it... searching on.
ReplyDeleteOther hints:
12) google for example "big red bridge" its in USA.
12a) use the wikipedia site for that bridge and search for "nineteen". Don't write "club" in the answer.
13) the thing you see is a clock. You need the name of the building.
13a) the name of the clock.
14) google something like "big waterfall".
14a) google the question.
15) the name of the statue.
15a) easy to find with google.
I told you people, it MUST BE in the tour I couldn´t watch :-D thanx Ellie
ReplyDeleteare you still there Ellie? Stuck with 12a. 19 people joined this club??
ReplyDeletePop.. got it!
ReplyDeleteGood you got it @EnJoy! Now, come to 16 and save me lol.
ReplyDeleteYw @rarita!
oh.. i am on 16 now...
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what that is
ReplyDeleteThen, welcome to the stuck club :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't traveled that much.. China, Mexico and Europe only and all over US.. is that art deco style? I have been googling art deco buildings
ReplyDeleteso I´m here with you on 16, let´s beat this one :-D
ReplyDeleteGreat! The more the merrier :)
ReplyDeleteI am so stuck with this one. it says not to use "tineye" image search.. I tried but no luck, also I am on shutterstock where the image came from, but I am not sure what to search for???
ReplyDeleteI tried the same as you @EnJoy. Looking at pictures from shutterstock now, but I'll give it a break soon.
ReplyDeleteis it a building or a sculpture, what do you think?
ReplyDeleteI don't know.. I thought it was the top of a building or a tower but it could be a sculpture. Is it art deco style?
ReplyDeleteI´m not sure about art deco style, maybe....I thought it is european building, germany or somewhere, I searched berlin, stockholm, no luck.
ReplyDeleteI just had to join because I need help on 18a. for the one you are stuck on try sculpture, Anthony Gormley
ReplyDelete16 is angel of the north
ReplyDeletei also need help at 18a
ReplyDeletethe last few photos have been in the U.S. though... I think it might be a tower
ReplyDelete@enJoy are qou still looking for the answer of 16? It is angel of the north
ReplyDeletenever would have got that .. thanks
ReplyDeleteI need to go but if you solve 18a can you leave me a hint please? I'll be back tomorrow to finish this. I won't give up! Too stubborn!
ReplyDeletewoo hoo.. 18 now!
ReplyDeletestill no idea for 18a.Have to go to bed now. Maybe will come back tomorrow
ReplyDeletewhat is 18? Versailles
ReplyDeletepalace of versailles
ReplyDeleteYes but the building not garden. Really must go.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot @anita_hamlin and @...!! I'll try to move on now :)
ReplyDeleteyou guys are good...
ReplyDeleteEllie you still here? It must be the dragon fountain, but I am not sure how the numbers correlate... but you solved the biblical garden one that was IMPOSSIBLE!
ReplyDeleteLol @EnJoy! I'm here, and looking at the fountain. Didn't find anywhere to apply those numbers yet.
ReplyDeleteShouldn't you be in bed?
ReplyDeleteGoing there very soon @EnJoy!
ReplyDeletewell i am giving up.. must make dinner. I tried "the dragon fountain" and took letters, 1, 12, 1...
ReplyDeletebut no luck
for 18a: find the website of the chateau, click the interactive map, find the bassin du dragon and then take the first letters of the 2nd, 12th and so on words of the description...
ReplyDeletestuck on 20 now. tried the english, original and spanish name of that place, tried several locations, nothing. anyone still around?
ReplyDeleteThanks @Rudi!! I never tried that in the french version, only English :)
ReplyDeleteFor 20, use the name of the statues - four letters.
Thanks, @Ellie, on to 20a (Alcatraz?) strange...
ReplyDeleteI'm there as well @Rudi, but working at the same time so it might take me a while. I didn't find anything useful yet.
ReplyDelete@Ellie: I've made (quite literally) a connection between Easter Island and Alcatraz on Google Earth, the line goes mainly through the Pacific Ocean, but pacificocaen, ocean, davenport (the city that you cross first when entering mainland USA) nor sanfrancisco work. severely stuck here...
ReplyDeleteFinally found the answer to 20a!! It has to do with an anscestor cult and a prisoner who reared and sold birds. Since Alcatraz means pelican, I googled "bird easter island alcatraz" to find the answer.
ReplyDelete@Ellie: very clever, I was still trying the occupation angle (both islands have been occupated).
ReplyDeleteNow, I'm not sure what/where 22 is.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I found out :)
ReplyDeleteI'm way behind you, still looking up 21. First I thought Rio, but the hand is the wrong way around...
ReplyDeletewell, it WAS Rio, just had the wrong name :-)
ReplyDelete@Rudi, you're at the right place. The hand is just looked at from a different angle. Find the english name of the statue.
ReplyDeletenow 22a: weren't they all first ladies?
ReplyDelete@Rudi, I thought so as well, trying to use their last names now and some other stuff... still trying to work at the same time lol.
ReplyDeletesame here, but I am self-employed AND it's my birthday, so I'm taking my time :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday @Rudi!!! I hope you'll have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI thought "grant" would do it since it's some kind of word and the last names of the presidents, but nope.
they are also in the national women's hall of fame, but neither that nor the address work...
ReplyDeleteStuck on 19.
ReplyDeleteTried giza, greatsphinxofgiza, cairo, but no go.
@small-tool: try the simple name of the beast, your second try was close
ReplyDeleteYep just found out Rudi, thanks but now on 19a dreamstele isn't working and wikipedia tells me it is.
ReplyDeleteSorry read wikipedia wrong, on 20 now.
ReplyDelete@small-tool, the dream steale wasn't the name, but in the Dream Stele he called the sphinx the same name as they did in the New Kingdom.
ReplyDelete@small-tool: the sphinx and the dream stele are two different things, he gave the sphinx another name. for the answer, think Harry Potter :-)
ReplyDeleteOh ok, you got it already :)
ReplyDeleteI'm still stuck on 22a.
Ok starting now with 22a.
ReplyDeleteI presume Pat Nixon is Patricia Nixon, but how about Abigail; there are two of them. One with John Adams and one with Millard Fillmore?
ReplyDeleteThere are two of Edith as well. Even trying with different combinations I cant come up with anything. I tried to find different names for "first lady" as well, and I tried "michelle".
ReplyDeleteyeah, had that too, like firstspouses, even tried ladiesfirst :-)
ReplyDeleteI am now on the website of the firstladies.org, but as stuck as a sandworm in concrete.
I give up for now. Can't find anything in common (except of course first ladies.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to do what Rudi said, but I still can't find the sollution to 18a. :(
ReplyDelete@serena, go to the wikipedia article and look for the name that Thut used for the sphinx, but don't use any hyphens
ReplyDelete22a should be "grant", but of course it isn't. At least I'm learning things from this game!
ReplyDeletefor 18a is that supposed to be from this text?
because i dont get it
yessss! use the first name of the first lady derived from those five names
ReplyDelete@zoz, that's probably not the right question. I'm stuck at bassin du dragon. :)
ReplyDeleteoops, sorry @selena! go to the official website and click on "francais" at the top, then go to the bassin du dragon and use the french words with the clue
ReplyDelete@zoz, how do you mean that? I don't get it.
ReplyDelete@rudi, take the first letter of the ladies' last names, then take the first name of that president's first lady.
ReplyDeletethen come tell me where 24 is!
@Egle try this page http://en.chateauversailles.fr/homepage, only in french
ReplyDelete@zoz: thank you very much, I was stuck for severeal hours :-). on my way now
ReplyDelete@zoz: 24 is tough, someplace Europe?
ReplyDeleteThanks @zoz!!! I got that too now. I had grant long ago, but didn't think any further lol.
ReplyDelete@Egle, that's not the text. Go to the french interactive map and find the bassin du dragon (number 44). Click that and you'll get a text that starts with: Le Bassin du Dragon représente un des épisodes de la légende apollinienne...
Moving on with 23 :)
@zoz, got it, it's in England!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteahh, finally, TY all :)
ReplyDeleteGreat @Rudi, I just found out the answer to 24 as well. Thanks for telling me to look in England!
ReplyDelete@Ellie: finished your work?
ReplyDeletethank you @Rudi! I would never have found it without you!
ReplyDeletenow for 25a, I think I know the answer, but my English is leaving me here
ReplyDeleteYes @Rudi, finished but still at work. I was curious about if anyone found out 22a and got stuck herer before going home lol. Now on 25a... googling.
ReplyDeleteAnd out :D!! I found the word for 25a when googling... its like the thing at playgrounds.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the help!!
ReplyDeleteand OUT as well, arrived at the world's end! thanks to all for playing!
ReplyDeleteCan anyone tell me the answer for 18a? The dragon fountain? I tried for a few hours yesterday, and I just want to move on! :)
ReplyDeleteNevermind.. got it "ballad" for 18a
ReplyDeleteballad
ReplyDeleteheh :) when u get to 19a i will need help :)
ReplyDelete@Enjoy, see my post at 7:22. then take the first letters of the french words in the 2, 12, 11, etc positions.
ReplyDeleteOut as well! Fascinating, although at times frustrating, game!
@EnJoy, Go to the french interactive map and find the bassin du dragon (number 44). Click that and you'll get a text that starts with:
ReplyDeleteLe Bassin du Dragon représente un des épisodes de la légende apollinienne...
Use the numbers to take the first letters from those words. Number 2 is Bassin = b and so on...

To identify the place in each picture and to answer the questions that follow, replace the section of the html before "htm" with the level number and answer, no spaces. Using level 1 as an example:
