@Truus First things I do on each level is right click the image and open it in a new tab to see if it has a telling title and right click view page source and look for any green lettering. On 6 we saw a 4 digit source code hint and with that and google were able to deduce c****
ReplyDeleteTruus,
ReplyDeleteThere was more information on level 6. In the source (de bron) there was GxF4 and the previous level(s) were about board games and about punctuation. So those were the hints.
But then again, you started with a very hard, not very logical riddle game to play riddle games for the first time.
Thank you @mkganda, gonna try .....
ReplyDeleteOkay, so this is what I've done. I went to PH and decoded all the numbers then got rid of all the spaces so I had just a string of dots and dashes. Then I counted 36 (was a dot), 9 (a dot), 12 (a dash), and so on.
ReplyDeleteI have ..-.-.-.
So far the only real word I've gotten is urn and it's not right lol.
Maybe not deleting all the spaces and then count again (with counting spaces)?
ReplyDeletehmm...going to try that
ReplyDeleteIt bugs me that at nord I found the "no decoding necessary", but also "I was in the right place but counting the wrong way" hints. What could that mean?
Unless I'm counting wrong, that way I get a "space" for 36
ReplyDeleteHow do you do 36 in morse? Just 3 and 6 or something in between?
ReplyDeleteOn purple hell I used the translator and the numbers came out 3 6 / 9 / 1 2 / etc... so yeah, just a space then a slash separating them. I've tried counting all ways to no avail so far. I wonder if we're on the wrong track here.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.purplehell.com/riddletools/morse.htm
Thanks @small-tool and also thanks for making me feel a little less stupid! :)
ReplyDeleteI managed to open the source and spotted the gxf4, but only because you told me it was there, lol. But green lettering?? I didn't see that though. Will try some more on the previous levels, see if they make any sense to me now...
Lol, I know about purple hell (and about Dante's hell, where I am right now) and yep serious doubts about being on the right track; With the morse the way we try to decode it there are way too much possibillities. Like with the ..-.-.-. you found. You can break it up in so many ways and the same with the coordinates.
ReplyDeleteTruus, I think the letters are not always green. Maybe depends on how many sites you have open or your browser or pc settings or something like that. Anyway Riddle makers often put information in the source and sometimes it's real hard to find.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of Last Enigma where on a certain level the answer was just there but not in a special color but just somewhere between all the other normal source information.
By the way mkganda, you really should try to finish Last Enigma. It is the best riddle game I ever played.
Got something! This is the hint I got on nord just now, "just apply those numbers to the h*** page right at the start"
ReplyDeleteDOH!!! head desker!! Going to do that now!
Level 8!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks mkganda, on 8 too.
ReplyDeleteCongrats mkganda.
ReplyDeleteHint please. I tried counting letters and using them but it doesn't work.
@small I wanted to go back to it but I couldn't remember the pw and refused to go through whammy again lol.
ReplyDeleteOn 7, We've seen the title to the egg page before. There are 8 #s and 8 notes on this previous page. hmm... :P
Hi all I'm back and on lvl 8. I've inputed the numbers at the h** page and nada; Help?
ReplyDeletesmall tool, don't include any spaces or punctuation. 8 lines/8 numbers.
ReplyDelete8 lines??? ...---... = 9 :O
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI still don't get it.
ReplyDeleteNope, still completely lost.
ReplyDeleteOn the homepage are 8 numbers and notes but not on 7. Really don't know what to with 36 and 9 etc. with those 8 notes.
forget about the m**** c***. That just got you to the egg page with the word h***.
ReplyDeleteOh duh! The rules! Right?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletelvl 8!!!
ReplyDeletelol mkganda u didn't need to have posted this HUGE almost spoiler lol
ReplyDeleteI'm almost crying here. I really don't know what you guys are talking about.
ReplyDeleteBut then again laughing at the same time.
But still ?
@small Let me know when you've got it and I'll delete that comment.
ReplyDeletes-t go to the rules page and count the letters. No punctuation or spaces included.
ReplyDelete@nini I know, but it's hard when everybody's had an "aha" moment but you. So I'll leave it til small has it then move on. After all, I'd never have passed the previous levels without you all. :D
ReplyDeleteAny progress on 8?
ReplyDeleteyep ur right mkganda. Gogo s-t. :)
ReplyDeleteOh and any ideas for lvl 8? Probably some reference to rules page again?
Oh dang got to leave for a while. Lunch time!
ReplyDeleteI've got an egg for 8. I don't know if I've missed a stage though.
ReplyDeleteWell considering the color of the previous ? being orange and then the answer, I was thinking this one being green...
ReplyDeletehmm...haven't got an egg yet.
ReplyDelete@small-tool did you get it?
Finally got it. Made a lot of mistakes with counting. Thanks all.
ReplyDeleteGot the egg! google imaged green ?
ReplyDeletewoohoo, I made it through level 6, only used the hint for the wiki-link, got the rest myself!!
ReplyDeletemkganda, do you have the page with the different pictures?
ReplyDeleteYay! Going back to delete some comments lol
ReplyDeleteHave to leave for a while. Good luck everyone.
ReplyDeleteSuddenly you're all going so fast.
ReplyDeleteHow do you get the egg on level 8?
Hi all! Didn't get any eggs. What did u do to get it?
ReplyDelete@Cricketer Yep! Thought it might be b***** ch********, but only one seems to be so that's not it.
ReplyDeleteSee you in a bit! :D
Ha got it!! s-t look for green q****** ma** and game.
ReplyDeleteHm.. Pharao, Lobster, Penguin, Queen?
ReplyDeleteGood morning. Joining for a short while. Just solved level 6 with the help of the comments and starting on 7.
ReplyDeleteI got it with google image search for a green ?. Think comic book :P
ReplyDeletefunny how the images are labeled on the egg page. 8, 8b, 8f, hmm...
@Truus Well done!!! That one was HARD for me until I understood the wiki. :D
What is q****** ma** ?
ReplyDeleteI googled green and answer to the previous level and got a fish!?
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nini xD.
ReplyDeleteI was looking on other sites with the green latern (also a comic character).
Anyway finaly I have the egg.
Oh dang! Got to leave again! Back on an hour maybe. :(
ReplyDelete@small-tool LOL! No fish needed! I used google image, but Nini's way will give it to you right away!
ReplyDeleteSo, I'm wondering if we need to take letters from these images and put them in order?
They are labeled in this order:
8 8b 8f 8a
8c 8d 8e
What the heck is that first on though??? Wondering if it means anything at all.
I think the first one is an egghead.
ReplyDeleteSo are we now looking for enemies of batman.
The only one I can think of (related to the pictures) is the Penguin.
That was my first thought, but had the same problem. Only one seems to fit the bill. Tried to id the one one on the top right using tineye, but nada.
ReplyDeleteI'm at level 8 now. Looking at pics that remind me to another comic book characters.
ReplyDeleteAh great Edgar is back.
ReplyDeleteAll the pictures together reminds you of another comic character!? Which one?
Looking up villains. There was one called red claw. Lobster? lol...idk
ReplyDeleteYep, the red claw was an enemy of batman too.
ReplyDeleteegghead
ReplyDelete?
king tut
anarchy
?
penguin
queen of diamonds or Harley Quinn
still filling the blanks here.
Blue Bowman maybe for the second one.
ReplyDeletefinding this very helpful
ReplyDeletehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Batman_Family_enemies
king tut - copperhead?
ReplyDeleteOkay, gotta go for a while. Good luck and leave lots of hints! :D
ReplyDeleteNo, don't think so. King Tut is King Tut, copperhead is another one.
ReplyDeleteAnarky, Egghead, Pinguin, King Tut and Red Claw are right for sure.
And Harley Quinn should be right too, but the second one?
Well, just found out there is an archenemy of batman just called The Archer.
ReplyDeleteHarley Quinn is also called Marsha, but still no go.
ReplyDeleteThere's a Lobster Johnson
ReplyDeleteHi all I'm back for a short time. Gotta leave soon (preparing my bday xD)
ReplyDeleteI'm back now to struggle for another while.
ReplyDeleteDang gotta leave again! T-T
ReplyDeleteThat's what happens when ur bday is 2 days from now. :PPP
There's an episode called the Queen of Diamonds. Maybe it's episode numbers that we're looking for?
ReplyDeleteWow Cricketer9999a,
ReplyDeleteThat's not making it easier if we have to go looking for episode numbers and besides that; I'm sure there will be a lot of episodes with the Penguin. But then again, maybe the first episode where he appeared.
Anyway, already congrats with your birthday Nini xD, because I will probably forget to do it on wednesday.
Happy birthday, Nini!!! :D
ReplyDeleteDo we have all the characters now?
Green Arrow for the 2nd one?
ReplyDelete"Dressed like Robin Hood, Green Arrow is an archer who invents trick arrows with various special functions..."
@Mkganda
ReplyDeletejust emailed you for the answer to level 5 - monopoly. hope you don't mind :)
Hii!! I'm back and now I'm staying. :) Thx mkganda ^^
ReplyDeleteAnd thx to u to s-t :)
ReplyDelete@EnJoy No problem! Glad you're here!
ReplyDelete@Nini Yay! Hi!
So we have:
ReplyDeleteEgghead-Green Arrow-King Tut-Anarky
Red Claw-Penguin-Harley Quinn
or
Lobster Johnson
Do we agree on those?
@mkganda.. just got your email. I don't know how you ever figured that one out.
ReplyDeleteWhat level are you all on now?
@EnJoy It was @Nini! She figured it out and then I came back and saw everyone else got it from her hints. Then @small-tool literally had to hold my hand through the entire process. So I can safely say that I never did figured it out past going 3 spaces back. LOL!
ReplyDeleteOn 8 now.
Oh ty mkganda but I didn't do that alone. Needed lots of help from ppl in Nord.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes agreed on char names.
I say we go with Marsha Queen of Diamonds instead of Harley Quinn.
ReplyDeleteHey, hey, hey. Back from work and ready for another session and see you've all moved on :o)
ReplyDeleteI saw the hints you all left for 6 and got it pretty easy, thanks all.
Just starting on 7 now...
I don't find any anagram from their inicials. :(
ReplyDeleteI just finished the chess level and am starting on 7! I am not able to figure these out on my own.. just following along :)
ReplyDeleteWait...What if this is referring to the tv series, because there was an "Archer" on that one.
ReplyDeletesuper helpful site
ReplyDeletehttp://www.bat-mania.co.uk/main/villains/index.php
GOT IT!! Level 9!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's Egghead, Archer, King Tut, Anarky, Red Claw, Penguin, and Marsha Queen of Diamonds.
1st letters anagrammed to get another! :D
I've just found out, bottom left isn't a lobster it's an Australian Red Claw Crayfish.
ReplyDeleteGratz mkganda trying that rght now!
ReplyDeleteI don't get any word from their 1st letters
ReplyDeleteHelp on level 7.. morse code.
ReplyDeleteCan't even get the egg that you guys mention in the hints. can you push me very hard in the right direction?
How come when we post a comment, it takes us back to the first page of comments?? annoying!
Hmm...anybody on 9 with me yet?
ReplyDeleteOh, I thought the bloke in red was called red claw. So the bloke in red is anarchy. Then we get red claw from the crayfish.
ReplyDeleteEnJoy when u SOS u ask for what? h**p!
ReplyDeleteNo mkganda help! I still don't get it. eakarpm does nothing for me.
ReplyDelete@EnJoy Yes, ask for h**p!
ReplyDelete@Nini EAKARPMR
There's supposed to be a second R, but it's not there that I can see.
m* p****r
You'll find her here
http://www.bat-mania.co.uk/main/villains/index.php
Extra r from the name in the url.
ReplyDeleteWhere the R comes from? lol
ReplyDeletelol lvl 9 :)
ReplyDelete@Nini I don't know lol! R from Red Claw, but the second one is a mistery. NO! Wait! As I was typing I realized what @Cricketer meant! We forgot a villain. The 1st one! r****er!
ReplyDeletemissing color on lvl 9 = indigo
ReplyDeletelol true mkganda! ahah! Well, at least we are at lvl 9, no more batman for me.
ReplyDeletethe colors are in order from the first ? (level 3 - level 8)
ReplyDeleteI only know that the missing rainbow color is indigo but it doesn't work.
ReplyDeletetried 9and10, nineandten, indigo, 910, levelsnineand10, levels9and10, lol...clearly not getting anywhere
ReplyDeleteit's not rainbow or unfinishedrainbow or unknown
ReplyDeleteHi guys. I'm back. Thanks for level 8. Great find for that extra R.
ReplyDeleteOn level 9 it seems like the color order is from the balls from pool.
from nordinho
ReplyDelete"u need next 2 in sequence, m.....and......."
Hi small! Happy you're back! Pool, eh?
ReplyDeleteGood find s-t
ReplyDeleteThanks small tool. I would never have got that.
ReplyDeletelvl 10!
ReplyDeleteSo we have the first six. next is brown and black right?
ReplyDeleteWait, people! Help!
ReplyDeletemkganda not brown... there's another name.
ReplyDeleteWait a minute, what happened. I just shared a thought and now you're suddenly all on level 10. What happened? The next color(s) doesn't work for me?
ReplyDeletemkganda, order here:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.pool-and-pocket-billiards-resource.com/billiards_balls.html
POP! Got it! On 10 now :)
ReplyDeletes-t next colors : ma*** and bl***
ReplyDelete@small-tool I don't like that they used this color but it's not brown it's m**oo*
ReplyDeleteI got it now, but thanks anyway Nini xD.
ReplyDeleteThis is like the equivalent of a pixely escape game, I didn't use 'and'.
On 10 now.
You include the word and
ReplyDeleteonce you have eliminated...
ReplyDeleteI took those letters out of the alphabet, not getting anywhere yet
Got the missing letters on lvl 10 but not sure if that 'll help
ReplyDeleteLOL! How's that for help, small? I'm sure you've got it now.
ReplyDeleteMe too Nini. Used the ROT cypher to no avail. We have 12 letters.
ReplyDeleteAha, google looks helpful.
ReplyDeleteindeed Cricketer!
ReplyDeleteThought they might mean more as #s, but that's not getting me anywhere either.
ReplyDeleteI do think the title hints towards NOT using the given letters though, right?
The 12 letters are the letters banned from the periodic table!!!
ReplyDeletegoogle the letters mkganda, the first hit looks relevant to this.
ReplyDeleteI just found that too!!!! Woohoo!
ReplyDeletelevel 11!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay so it's not periodic table or periodic table of elements...
ReplyDeleteYep on 11. Thanks Cricketer9999a.
ReplyDeleteAny ideas for 11? We have Bob the Builder, a kangaroo, a crown, and..??
ReplyDeleteNow I'm still stuck on 10, lol! I can see what they are, but how to word it?
ReplyDeleteWait...don't know what to enter
ReplyDeletePuff pant, puff, pant.
ReplyDeleteCaught up to level 10 with help of you guys :o)
Jut hold on a wee while ;o)
The second picture could also be a wallabi.
ReplyDeletemkganda look at ur previous post. the word is laying there...
ReplyDeleteThank goodness it's not just me Cricketer! What do we enter?!
ReplyDeletemkganda,
ReplyDeleteyou already gave the answer in your previous post.
mkganda, pop! What are they? e*******.
ReplyDeleteGot it! Thanks Nini!
ReplyDelete10 e*******
Lol Nini xD, we're good at giving hints aren't we?
ReplyDelete11 looks related to old money terminology. Tanner, bob, crown. Skippy???
ReplyDeleteLol s-t! xDD
ReplyDeletewow Cricketter! Ur fast at finding stuff aren't u?
ReplyDeletehalf crown is 2 schillings
ReplyDeleteBack home and solving level 8 now.
ReplyDeleteCongrats @mkganda!! If there's something harder than solving something hard, it's to solve something defective from an author's mistake. One letter missing on level 8... pfffft!!
oooor half crown is 2 bobs
ReplyDeleteaaaa hate to deal w/ money! specially old british money.
ReplyDelete@Edgar Hi! Thanks, but it wasn't a mistake after all. We forgot that in the egg url was the other villain with our other r. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to get one though.
Yay, onto 11. Hopefully I cn return the help soon :o)
ReplyDeleteRight. The first one was to be included. Well, it wouldn't be the first time I see one wrong or incomplete level. Going on...
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't think it would be too tough if I knew what currency the kangaroo/wallabe represented. WTH?
ReplyDelete@mk, a half crown was 2 shillings and sixpence!!
ReplyDelete@Rambler Oh, you're right! or 2 bobs and sixpence, right?
ReplyDeleteAre we to see what's missing to make the top and bottom equivalent?
OMG... sry guys but this one u'll have to find w/out me.
ReplyDeleteIt's JOEY! Slang for threepence!
ReplyDeleteOkay gotta' go for a bit! bb in a few!
So, we have (in old pence):
ReplyDeleteBob = 12
Joey = 3
Half a crown = 30
Tanner = 6
We can work with this...
Nice one mkganda!!!
ReplyDeleteThere are 4 or 5 tanners in the pic.
ReplyDeleteHmm, if that's the case, then we can call it 24 or 30!
ReplyDeleteall the slang on here. tried adding it up http://www.learnenglish.de/slang/moneyslang.htm
ReplyDeleteI'm not too familiar with this currency. Is the total 4 shillings and 1 threepence? 51 pennies?
ReplyDelete@Edgar, yes. If we take it that there's only 1 tanner, then it all adds up to 4 shillings and threepence, or 51 old pence as you say..
ReplyDeleteMaybe we're looking for another slang?
ReplyDeleteMaybe we shouldn't add it up but try to see it as a sequence. With something missing in, or something comming after or before, those amounts.
ReplyDeleteA florin (18 pence) would be missing, but that's not working.
ReplyDelete@s-t, a florin was another name for a two shilling piece (2 bob).
ReplyDeleteFrom wiki:
ReplyDelete50p coins as "Silver" and 1p coins may be referred to as "Copper", due to their colour and apparent base metal type...
and considering the last answer, this might be the right track, but haven't had any luck yet :(
tried that edgar no go
ReplyDelete@Edgar, from my mum :o)
ReplyDeleteThe copper coins were - a farthing, a ha'penny, and a penny. The thre'penny bit was brass and all the rest were silver,
Okay, back. What are we working on?
ReplyDeleteare we looking at the tanners as 5 tanners or as one?
ReplyDeleteis it something to do with the metals. googled them together, just got a magic trick
ReplyDelete@mk, it's open to conjecture at the moment.
ReplyDeleteWe all seem to be exploring different ideas within the same theme at the moment..
Tried to find what the coins are made of, but that's hard. Half a crown was first made of gold, later silver and then copper/nickel alloy.
ReplyDeleteSo ???
Oooohhh bigtank, please share, I love magic tricks :o)
ReplyDeleteHi all I'm back! Checked nordinho and gordon posted:
ReplyDeleteI know what the images represent and what is missing but it doesn't work for the answer. I've tried what I have with the url but that is wrong also. What am I missing please.
Oops, never mind. I forgot to alter the number in the url.
lol rambler just googled brass silver copper.
ReplyDeleteSo something is missing. An old coin, a metal or what?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, it's up to you two now Rambler and Bigtank, it's your country and your history. So come on.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Yeah s-t's right LOL
ReplyDeletelol small-tool! I second that!
ReplyDeleteI've been learning lots tooling around this site:
http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/customs/questions/moneyold.htm
Kinda fun :)
tried putting the total in d and s but not that.can sit here all night telling you what it is not. lol
ReplyDeleteHi again Nini! I just saw you on nord as well lol. :D
ReplyDeletelol mkganda,
ReplyDeleteI've been back far beyond that. I found ancient pages about the times England was still part of the continent. And way back then they used stones and shells for money.
Oh.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying stuff while I'm watching the football, concentration levels are low I'm afraid. Sorry (blush)
Will do better soon...
Haha mkganda!! Cmon everybody to Nord!! They have to aswer us!
ReplyDeleteok with you on nord. as well lol
ReplyDeletelol small!!! Sweet! What do you think was the value of a half-conch or a half-clam?
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should go back farther to when they used to chuck stones and shells at each other and just take their goods and wares.
