  8. Help, I can't figure out 38.
If you anagram all the nicknames you get epical. And then I thought there would be another dartplayer with that as nickname. But no.

    ReplyDelete
  9. ok finaly caught up.lets finish this i need my life back

    ReplyDelete
  10. pff got it, thanks @mkganda

    ReplyDelete
  12. So what's with the image names?

    ReplyDelete
  13. How do you even find them? tineye?

    ReplyDelete
  14. The image names are just an extra clue to find the players. It's all (except the second) first letter of their last name.

    ReplyDelete
  15. could the dart players have something to do with a 9-darter? just a wild guess though..

    ReplyDelete
  16. is it another british dart player.

    ReplyDelete
  17. mkganda,
    The names and nicknames we already have;

    0. Andy Fordham - The Viking

    1. Joey ten Berge - The Entertainer
    2. Phil Taylor - The Power
    3. Eric Brislow - Crafty Cockney
    4. Steve Beaton - Adonis
    5. Alan Warrines - The Iceman
    6. Bob Anderson - Limestone Cowboy

    ReplyDelete
  18. Well the 4th has 2 nicknames
    Magnum PI and The Adonis

    ReplyDelete
  19. Probably bigtank.
The other favourite of the game maker.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Could the title being B1 mean that we're not using the 2nd one and we're using Magnum?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Do you think this could be like 8 and we need to include our hint guy? V?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Tried that as well, but nothing good with anagramming.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Got 38. anagram 1st letters. its not epical but..

    ReplyDelete
  24. @faltu How 'bout a first letter? Been anagramming this an getting nowhere.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Sorry, hope I didn't annoy you. :s

    Working it out

    ReplyDelete
  26. On 40.

    @mkganda

Should I tell the answer? It's name of a fish.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thanks I got it. On 39 now.
But even now I know the answer, I still can't find him on Google.
Well okay, let's focus on 39.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Lol, no need to focus on 39, very easy.
    On 40 now.

    ReplyDelete
  29. @faltu No, got it. I can't tell if you're angry or being nice. If it's the former, it's not necessary and if it's the latter, thank you?

    ReplyDelete
  30. weird, kept getting an error message when I knew darn well 39 was right. On 40! Home stretch!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Well, I read the text on 40 very carefully for the first time now and didn't find a palindrome. Gonna read again.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @mkganda,

Lol!!! Why should I get angry? Actually I was just asking whether it will be right to write the answer. I dont know English well. If my comment offended you then I'm extremely sorry. In fact I'm very grateful to all of you for your nice hints. Thank you all very much.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh and I forgot;

Thank you very much for 38 faltu.
Btw did you finish level 40?

    ReplyDelete
  34. @faltu Not at all! I just couldn't tell if you were getting annoyed that I needed so much help. I know it can get irritating to some people when they're constantly answering questions and I was so far behind when I got here today that I asked quite a few.

Thank me? Thank you! If it weren't for you, bigtank, small, and EnJoy I wouldn't be on 40 now. It took me 4 hours to go 18 levels compared to the last 3 DAYS of going 22. LOL! How's that?

    Anyway, I'm glad I wasn't annoying you. :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Apparently not all palindromes are correct.
'A' is of course a palindrome.
and in the sentence "You see, said the philosopher etc." is 'sees'.
    Well, still looking.

    ReplyDelete
  36. o.k. since we're all happy people here, not annoying and all :P, could I get a little hint for 31 please?

    ReplyDelete
  37. @small I have a feeling we're looking for a sentence. :s

    ReplyDelete
  38. Truus,
What you see is Sea, Tee, Bee, You and Eye.
    Pronounce it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. thanks small, got it, just missed the (big !!) sea

    ReplyDelete
  40. @Truus LOL! Feel the love. :D

    Okay 40

There are also "word order" palindromes
eg run spot run! I feel much more confident we'll find one of those.

    ReplyDelete
  41. It's not "happen and happen"

    moving right along

    ReplyDelete
  42. Good Morning! Trying to catch up. I am on 35 and staring at a flag with numbers..

can someone give me a push?

    ReplyDelete
  43. EnJoy,
Find the colors, the numbers are color codes.

    mkganda,
I doubt it's "word order" palindromes. I think it's one of those sneaky palindromes that starts halfway up a word and ends a few words later.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hi EnJoy! I googled the numbers. They're c****s. Then you'll know what to find :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yes, working on it now. found the co----

    ReplyDelete
  46. I agree. I've found now dozens of word order ones. :s

    ReplyDelete
  47. Ok onto 36.. How many levels are there?

    ReplyDelete
  48. googled tips on spotting one and found this very impressive one

Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward to new era?

    Love that!

    ReplyDelete
  49. The title of this short story is "Death and What Comes Next"

The wiki mentions that it contains a word puzzle, but doesn't say where. :s

    ReplyDelete
  50. I am all caught up.. on 40 now. Just looking at it.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Reading up on where this story first appeared makes me think I missed a really great puzzle. TimeHunt looks like it was a lot of fun.

A palindrome is not what they were using it for though, so...back to square one.

I'm having fun with this one though.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I am just guessing, but every new level has been relating to the answer in the previous level...

    i.e. "place"

so this is found in the writings:

"You see," said the philosopher, while Death, motionless, watched the sands of his life drain through the hourglass, "everything is made of tiny particles, which have the strange property of being in many places at one time. But things made of tiny particles tend to stay in one place at one time, which does not seem right according to quantum theory. May I continue?"

I am not sure though continuing to look at it

    ReplyDelete
  53. hmm...not really sure what that means. (surprise surprise lol)

In the original word puzzle associated with this story (which I doubt more and more has anything to do with it, but oh well) the puzzlers were to take every word after the word "death" and solve the clue they comprised. Thought maybe those words lined up could be our palindrome, but nope.

It was a stretch, but I did try :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. ok got level 40 . just look at my post lol

    ReplyDelete
  55. I don't know.. I am lost.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Wow, thanks bigtank. Finaly.

    ReplyDelete
  57. And now?
Is this the end? temp end? or does it go on?
    Can't click anything.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I don't get it bigtank???

    ReplyDelete
  59. Nor I EnJoy.

    @small temp end, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Very, very first word of the text in the riddle.

    ReplyDelete
  61. bigtank said read my post???

    ReplyDelete
  62. OH! Dammit I'm mad! <--better palindrome, but yes, quite obvious. ;P

    ReplyDelete
  63. ok tell me mkganda.. I am not getting it

    ReplyDelete
  64. @enjoy i said i got LEVEL 40

    ReplyDelete
  65. upper left of screen. Forget the story. It precedes a number featured in bigtank's post.

BTW, good one bigtank. Pretty funny :)

    ReplyDelete

  104. There are more images if you look source.

    ReplyDelete
  105. hi mkganda, here to help i hope, still looking at 41. we need small tool

    ReplyDelete
  106. @brian Thanks. Trying but not sure if I need exact pics to find them. I'm looking at we***** a********ry gi**s, but which list on the wiki? All? Or am I way off track already?
1st pic could be a few and 8th could be a couple and then what? If I knew I needed first letters or something that would help.

    ReplyDelete
  107. push on 41 would be good , thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  108. @bigtank Hi! 41 is a known cartoon. Didn't find it on tineye, but if you google exactly this you'll find it right away.

cartoon with two snakes "my agent sucks"

    ReplyDelete
  109. @mkganda, i have not solved it yet, sorry the other images can be seen in the page. I had to zoom out to see them. Each of them indicates a different material. Have you solved that yet?

    ReplyDelete
  110. Okay on 42, if I'm even on the right track, I have:

    -?
    -pottery
    -copper
-wood or oak or wood objects :s
    -opal
    -iron
    -crystal
    -brass or musical instruments
    -turquoise

    S.O.S!!!

    ReplyDelete
  111. @brian Oh! I thought you had it sorted already. Okay, so am I looking at the right wiki?

    ReplyDelete
  112. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Instead of pottery it can be clay.

    ReplyDelete
  114. @brian Okay, but are the rest what you have too?

Also, I am supposed to be looking at w******* a*********ies right?

    ReplyDelete
  115. yes ty mg. though w........ a..... for 42

    ReplyDelete
  116. I had:
    a iron ??
    b clay
    c copper
    d wood
    e opal?? opal is black
    f iron
    g crystal
    h brass
    i turquoise ( saphire / lapis lazuli)

    But first letters mean nothing

    ReplyDelete
  117. @brian you said you can see all the pics in the page if you zoom out?
    What page?

    ReplyDelete
  118. 1st - paper
    2nd - cotton
    3rd - leather
    4th - books
    5th - Wood or Clocks
    6th - Iron
7th - Copper, Bronze or Brass
    8th - Electrical Appliances
    9th - Pottery
    10th- Tin, Aluminum
    11th- Steel
    12th- silk or linen
    13th- lace

    60th - Diamond

    ReplyDelete
  119. Forget this mkganda. I could only see the first pic and did not see that i could scroll down. I saw the others in the source and searched them. Sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  120. yep, it is opal. thanks mkganda.

    ReplyDelete
  121. @brian okay.

@bigtank I saw on nordinho that some have "alternatives" and that it was "tricky". That's why I thought the brass could be the modern US - musical instruments and the wood could be modern US - wood objects.

Also, could we need the very 1st one as well - paper?

    ReplyDelete
  122. do tou think the card is included as in paper

    ReplyDelete
  123. Also, if we need to pick from more than one list or that we are picking from the wrong list, the necklace good be fashion jewelry and not turquoise.

    *head on desk*

    ReplyDelete
  124. maybe it is just the numbers

    ReplyDelete
  125. lol @bigtank same thought

    ReplyDelete
  126. okay, so that would be

    possibly paper=1
    -iron=6 or modern US nickel=21
    -pottery/clay=9
    -copper=7
    -wood=5 oak=80 or modern US wood objects=6
    -opal=24
    -iron=6
    -crystal=15
-brass=21 or modern US musical instruments=24
-turquoise=18 or modern US fashion jewelry=11

    ????

    ReplyDelete
  127. http://www.anniversaryideas.co.uk/gemstone_history.asp

    ReplyDelete
  128. are you onto something @bigtank? Is that a hint or an idea?

If I go by my list above the last 4 letters would be four if you make the numbers letters. Or ?xfour. Our answer very well could be simply multiplication.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Well, going by the title of the page being "wiki", if we're indeed on the right track we should be at the wiki, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  130. You said it mkganda multiplication
fivexfour and look in the anniversary list

    ReplyDelete
  131. ok we do not need the 1st picture according to nord.

    ReplyDelete
  132. very proud at the moment.

    Okay, 43.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I think I get what we are looking for but...

    ReplyDelete
  134. oh...2000-2026 working it out

    ReplyDelete
  135. Thanks to you ! mkganda, i have started very confused this new levels.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Okay, so I have
    -rabbit
    -horse
    -boar
    -boar
    -tiger
    -dragon
    -boar
    -snake
    -ox

    lol...now what?

    ReplyDelete
  137. @bigtank you still here?

    ReplyDelete
  138. yes but i get different things , having a good look

    ReplyDelete
  139. hmm...well, maybe I was looking at an old chart? Since things have shifted with the zodiac, maybe the chinese zodiac has also shifted.

Otherwise, boar could be pig I guess. :s

    ReplyDelete
  140. http://www.chinapage.com/12animals.html having a look here

    ReplyDelete
  141. @bigtank did you see in the source 2000-2026? I must be wrong then b/c there are 2 31s. So what would they be?

This is where I'm looking. (it just goes higher)

    Years up to 2031

    ReplyDelete
  142. @brian you getting anywhere with this one?

    ReplyDelete
  143. 2000 is dragon
    2026 is horse
if we have to convert the code to zodiac animals...only ox starts by vowel. It must be other thing.

    ReplyDelete
  144. hmm...you think the image name is any sort of hint?
    3_2_11

    ReplyDelete
  145. c..... n.. y... starts ten 3/02/

    ReplyDelete
  146. It just seems like it considering the title "rabbit this year" and the picture and the url.

Maybe we're missing another way to do this.

    ReplyDelete
  147. unfortunately, having that sorted doesn't really help the way I wanted it to lol. There's no mention of 43-62 on nord, so I'm starting to feel a bit thick here.

    ReplyDelete
  148. I tried ordering the animals names starting from 2000 Dragon
DragonSnakeHorse...and count letters but didn't work.

    ReplyDelete
  149. @brian Clever! But what are you using for the 31s if it stops at 2026?

    ReplyDelete
  150. No, i was not using first letter for each year, that didn't work.
I joined the names in a word: dragonsnakehorsesheep.....
and for number 22 i searched that letter in this "word".
It gives the letters oeesmnsda. Anagraming i got sandemose and demonssea. Lol. Didn't work.

    ReplyDelete
  151. ok. all the different years have different start dates some january some february

    ReplyDelete
  152. Phew! I caught up from lvl 22. Thanks for all of your great hints!! On 44 now :)

    ReplyDelete
  153. @ellie way to go give us a clue for 43 we are all still stuck

    ReplyDelete
  154. For lvl 43, look at the dates when the new years starts. For the 9 numbers you have in the level pic you'll find 12 years, but only use the first year for the dates that have several.
Then the years you got... basic conversion.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I'm sorry for not posting before. I read some of your earlier comments for 43 and actually thought you got it already.

  156. I dont know if I'm being very clear. You have number 19 for example. The chinese new years that starts on the 19th is in 2015 and 2018. When you got two years like this, you should only use the first: 2015=15... then translate. Do the same with your other numbers.
No anagram, just read what you got.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Got it @Ellie? I was thinking an*********y, but it was a no go...

    ReplyDelete
  167. On 46, had to write plural word of what was on the wall.
I only used the Panoramic virtual Tour, no need for the bigger one.

    ReplyDelete
  168. @mkganda, not sure what you were thinking, but that doesnt look like the answer. Go to the museum official page, then plan your visit and take a virtual tour. In the individual panoramas... think of what you are looking for... crocodile and url-nickname.

  173. @bigtank, did you read my post at 9:28?
    Another clue:
Your first number is 23. Look for the year between 2000-2006 when the new year started on the 23rd. That would be the year 2012. Then use number 12 to get a letter.
Do the same for all of your 9 numbers and you have a 9-letter word. Need more?

    ReplyDelete
  174. Ok lol, congrats @bigtank! Well, the clue might help someone coming later on.

    ReplyDelete
  176. @mkganda are you talking about 45 or 46?
