  1. Okay, according to the picture names we have to find the inventors of those things on level 21.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Ok, got a word anagramming the pic names. Now at least I know what we're looking for.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Okay, so on 21 I have 9 letters

    ReplyDelete
  4. Ok.. you are right. anagram letters and got that we need to look up in........

    ReplyDelete
  5. There are a lot of different names on different sites. Don't know what to choose. Gettting tired.

    ReplyDelete
  6. The only two I'm quite sure of are
Franklin for the battery and Gunter for the ruler thing.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I'm getting tired too. I have some names that might not be the right ones. At least an anagram with initials doesn't give me anything.
    I got:
    Aerosol can - Eric Rotheim
Electric kettle - Arthur Leslie Large
    Camera - George Eastman
    Car - Karl Benz
    Slipstick - Christopher Allan
    Battery - Alessandro Volta

    ReplyDelete
  8. What is the ruler thing?

    I got:
    Erik Rotheim
    Arthur Leslie Large
    John Strognofe
    Ole Kirk Christiansen
    ?
    Alessandro Volt

    ReplyDelete
  9. Lol @s-t! Then, maybe I should change my names there.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Edwin Rudd for the electric water heater?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Okay, are we looking for car or legos?

    ReplyDelete
  12. I got the same as Ellie.

Do you think it matters that they are from different countries?

    ReplyDelete
  13. The ruler thing is like EnJoy said a "slide ruler". It's some kind of calculator.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I got Oughtred and Napier for the slide rule

    ReplyDelete
  15. William Oughtred slide rule?

    ReplyDelete
  16. I think we have the battery right with Volta

    ReplyDelete
  17. Really, though, is that car or legos?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Maybe William Oughtred for the slide ruler.

    ReplyDelete
  19. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Lol, now i got an anagram giving me Jacob Flowers but that wasn't correct.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @EnJoy, the strange url is only because the author of the riddle made 20 levels first, then added some more levels. It doesn't matter for the solving.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @EnJoy the game originally had 20 levels and now it has 40. We're on the second set is all. :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. yes that is what i figured out, so I deleted my comment. Going to take a break for a while.

Nordinho doesn't have anything on this level!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I went back a bit for Jacob Flowers to see if he invented something, but he only founded the town of Bellvue which isnt the answer. Need a break too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. This riddle game is often so random.
It could be first letters last name, initials, how many letters their names are, countries, birthdates, date of inventions.
And that's already a lot if you are sure of who invented what, but now we aren't even sure who and even not sure what; car or lego.
    I think I'm gonna take a break.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Lol. I'm not gone yet mkganda. Just thinking about taking a break.
Btw wondering where Jacob Flowers came from. The F is not in the names we posted?
Maybe we have to make a new list with all the names we came up with.

    ReplyDelete
  27. It seems that John Strognofe invented the first portable camera and that George Eastman invented film. :s

    ReplyDelete
  28. Okay, I have:

    -Erik Rotheim
    -Arthur Leslie Large
-George Eastman (probably, but maybe John Strognofe)
-Karl Benz (or if Legos Ole Kirk Christiansen)
    -William Oughtred
    -Alessandro Volta

    ReplyDelete
  29. For the spray can.
The very first mentioned is Perpigna (1837 in France).
Then Erik Rotheim (1927 in Norway).
Then Lyle Goodhue and William Sullivan (1943 in the U.S.) for portable spray cans.
Then Robert H. Abplanalp (1947 in the U.S.) spray cans for public use.
Then Edward Seymour (1949 in the U.S.) for paint in a spray can.
Well take your pick and that's only for the first picture.

    ReplyDelete
  30. BLARG!!! I really don't like this level. It seemed pretty straightforward until I started googling "Who invented the..." and now it's not only not knowing WHAT to do it's not knowing WHO to use? I object!

    ReplyDelete
  31. http://www.pubquizhelp.com/hist/invent.html found this site they seem pretty confident, missing slide rule though

    ReplyDelete
  32. Okay so I have them now listed by their photo titles hoping that's a clue...

    in- Karl Benz
    v- Erick Rotheim
    e- Alessandro Volta
    nt- George Eastman
    o- Arthur Leslie Large
    rs- William Oughtred

It was an idea, but it's not going anywhere :s

    ReplyDelete
  33. bigtank to the rescue! Hello!

    ReplyDelete
  34. huh. They have Nicholas Cugnot for car. This is IRRITATING!

    ReplyDelete
  35. It just bugs me too that out of all the stock images of cars they used legos. That alone makes me think that we need legos, but it could also be a red herring.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Aerosols Erik Rotheim 1927
Kettle (electric) Arthur Leslie Large 1922
    Camera George Eastmann 1888
    Lego Godtfred Kirk Christiansen 1955
    slide rule William Oughtred
    Battery Alessandro Volta 1799

    ReplyDelete
  37. 1. Aerosol Can - Erik Rotheim 1927
    2. Tea Kettle - Arthur Leslie Large 1922
    3. Camera - George Eastman 1888
    4. Car - Nicholas Cugnot 1769
    5. Slide Rule - William Oughtred
    6. Battery - Allesandro Volta 1799

So taking those last names and anagraming you get Velcro.. doesn't work.

Velcro was invented by George de Mestral

    ReplyDelete
  38. closest thing to a date on the slide rule I can find is "around 1622" ???

    ReplyDelete
  39. @EnJoy OMG! I bet you you are so close! I so wished that worked!

lol...have you been here the whole time? :P

    ReplyDelete
  40. @EnJoy GONGTATS!!!! You got it!!!! It's the inventor. Full name.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Okay, may need to go. In source on 22:
    "10 repeated x3"
    Oi...

    ReplyDelete
  42. what about countries?
    1. Norway
    2. England
    3. U.S.A
    4. Denmark (Lego)
    5. England
    6. Italy

Interesting is that the Electric Tea Kettle was invented by a man from Birmingham England.. which was in a previous answer

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thank you so very much EnJoy.

    ReplyDelete
  44. LOL @EnJoy!!! You didn't even look! You already got it! Refresh and scroll up!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Are you kidding me? It was the inventor of velcro?

I haven't tried the whole name

    ReplyDelete
  46. I did it! Wow.. I didn't even know! :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. ROFL! You're so funny.

Okay, now that THAT little bit of hell is over, I have to pay some attention to my family. Thanks for everything and good luck! Leave me lots and lots of good hints?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Oh.. level 22

    I don't do math :(

    ReplyDelete
  49. why can i not get g.... de....m...... to work

    ReplyDelete
  50. Ok bigtank and small-tool - your turn for 22

nice find on the inventors bigtank

    ReplyDelete
  51. got 22 onto 23 http://www.daniweb.com/forums/thread47884.html

    ReplyDelete
  52. On 23 now.
I just Googled the numbers for the next number (but also in the source) and then binary to decimal.

    ReplyDelete
  53. onto 24 omg all on my own

    ReplyDelete
  54. bigtank,
can you please give a hint for 23.

    ReplyDelete
  55. googled the text small tool

    ReplyDelete
  56. Did the same bigtank (or in fact just the equation) and found the hitchhikers g.... etc. But now what?

    ReplyDelete
  57. yes i found that and then the reason why the answer was true is b... hen a number, onto 25. 24 is like a rebus sounds like word

    ReplyDelete
  58. Nvm. got it. was on the wrong track.
    Level 24 now.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Ok.. so I am still on 22. I have been working on it but math or numbers never make sense to me.

    I got more numbers in the sequence. 42, 39, 36, 33

I am stuck is this correct? Tried to convert to binary and then letters but it didn't work except for 42?

    help

    ReplyDelete
  60. So what do we have on 25;
    pointing-pointing
    eye-cue-screw
    Right?

    ReplyDelete
  61. enjoy again you have posted the annswer before ur ?

    ReplyDelete
  62. EnJoy, the sequence goes up. So the next one is 101010 (in the source it already said 3x10).
Then convert, and the answer is a number, not text.

    ReplyDelete
  63. oh i thought golf tee. maybe a nail?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Ok.. got it thanks. Didn't understand it though! :)

    ReplyDelete
  65. what about the clue look up

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yep, nail was my second thought too.
But the second one is maybe not pointing. He is pointing at us. So maybe it is I or Me or You (U).

    ReplyDelete
  67. I think it's again something with sounds like (because op the previous answer that's still in the web bar) and then 'look up'is probably an extra clue to find that word. Something with God or sky?

    ReplyDelete
  68. 'because op' ?
'because of' I meant of course. Why op (the P and the F are not close on the keyboard) ?

    ReplyDelete
  69. so maybe u(you) m(me) i(eye) q(cue) t(tee)
so maybe the numbers above those letters.
    q=1 or2
    i= 8or9 u=7or 8 t = 5or 6 ?

    ReplyDelete
  70. 23.. Hitchhikers guide? My little brain is fried!

    ReplyDelete
  71. ok time for me to go, will be back have a day off work tommorow so what a can do then

Btw could you hint EnJoy? Don't know what to say more than we already did in the previous comments.

    ReplyDelete
  77. What do wo have on 26?
    Why (Y) - You (U) - cue (Q) and hay?

    3 Blow

    ReplyDelete
  94. Found the 5th flag.
The flags are districts/provences of the country (answer previous level).
But the 5th flag is of a part of that country in South-America

    ReplyDelete
  95. 1 ready

    ReplyDelete
  96. no 2 is a part of great britain

    ReplyDelete
  97. Ah I see bigtank. The Isle I guess.
Still stuck on 28. anagram doesn't work.
    I think the flags are;
    Overijsel
    Zuid-Holland
    Noord-Brabant
    Utrecht
    Bonaire

    ReplyDelete
  98. got the same for 5 , i think 2 is the scottish flag

    ReplyDelete
  99. should say Scottish standard

    ReplyDelete
  100. On 29 now.
They were spelled English so the second one is South-Holland. The others are the same.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I just found some flags too!

    ReplyDelete
  140. Is it not irritating to go to the newest page every time you post?

    ReplyDelete
  141. Yep it is very annoying. Don't know why they changed that.

On 36 now. Don't know yet what I am looking for birthdates, other dates?

    ReplyDelete
  147. Or maybe not. I thought they had 9 new actors and the last actor always dies and is reborn as a new doctor. But no. Wrong track.

    ReplyDelete
  148. In wiki I found 10 doctors. I am not fond of TV. But I think it may be wedding of some character.
