ReplyDeleteSet the compass somehow, ended up at the start screen, but don't know what else changed. Also have red oil.
ReplyDeleteAha, the compass placed a stepping stone at the start screen; placing the two oil lamps provides another stone.

annaby, did you get the stone at the base of the fountain, or at least I think that's where it was.

ReplyDeleteClick plant to take green stone.
ReplyDeleteTurn right, take candle holder from the floor next to the stones.
Click on the script puzzle on your left and make it be the same on both side - reflecting right to the left.
Click on the plant towards your right, there is a stone, click the stone to take a knife.
Click to the middle of the screen under the egyption painting to enter into the next room
look at the hanging compass and bring red to 7 as per the clue from below.
Take red oil from the far end on your right.
Use the knife on the bugs on your right (collect 5)
Pick up green stone on the step below right of the fountain
Click fountain and take another green stone
Put three green stones onto the fountain (2nd row middle, third row 2nd cup, fourth row middle)
take the candle holder next to the fountain and put the two candles where there were 3 similar ones in the previous room
poor the red oil in the circle over the snake shape.
Release 5 bugs in the view of the fountain to see 5 secret components and then click on the component to see wheels, turn each wheel.
Go back to the room with the egyptian picture and the candles then click towards the right of the picture and then go back to the 1st screen to see the rope coming from the hoe above, click rope and out.
I'm glad secretmap remembered where that stone was; I had already forgotten.

Grr. Got almost to end and there's a bug, can't use the red oil on the snake. Restarted, same problem...oh well (Boy, I hate not finishing a game after all that work.))
ReplyDeleteYou can't use the red oil until you solve the script puzzle. The left symbols should be a mirror image of the symbols on the right.
ReplyDeleteI olaced five bugs, but can only find four secret safes with wheels. Where is the fifth?
ReplyDeleteFound the fifth safe with wheel. Rope came down. Got stick from painting, but by now I have nothing in inventory, and can't click rope to escape. Did I do things in the wrong order?

ReplyDeletegreen stone in the vines upper left corner
second room:
near vines on the top right, green colored brick in the middle theres a knife behind it.
on the floor theres a oil lamp, place it with the others
on the left theres a puzzle, mirror the left side of the pieces according to the right side
theres a painting of sorts in the back of the room, click on the stick the guy on the right is holding (it'll take you back to the first room and you will get your first stone placed on the ground.
now go back to the 2nd room and click somewhere between the oil lamps and the snake statue and it'll take you to a third room.
third room:
grab the oil lamp on the table and put it with the rest in the second room (you will go back again to the 1st room and you will have another stone laid out)
on the left theres a compass, fix it so that the red arrow is on top and the blue one is at the bottom (you will go back again to the 1st room and you will have another stone laid out) or click on the compasses in the back --both worked for me when i played first and second time--
grab the red oil on the left side below the secret safe and go back to the second room with the snake and pour it in (you will go back again to the 1st room and you will have another stone laid out)
theres a green stone on the bottom right of the steps (really small)/ click on the fountain and theres another greenstone in the water.
use your green stones for the 2nd, 4th bowls in the middle and the 3rd row 2nd bowl on the left (you will go back again to the 1st room and you will have another stone laid out)
use the knife you got from the second room on the 5 bugs in the back on the right side….on the zoomed out view of the 3rd room, just drag and drop the bugs one by one and they'll crawl to the secret safe and mark them with blue
now click on the blue bricks and they'll review these gears. just click on each gear after (you will go back again to the 1st room and you will have another stone laid out)
