  6. got a hammer from the toilet

    ReplyDelete
  7. Well going in to see what all this is about...

    ReplyDelete
  8. now a clue about hex digits, but I've had enough. You have to keep clicking on highlighted words until you get a new message

    ReplyDelete
  9. Great, so the point of the game is to......? look a toilet paper? I keep clicking on the words but nothing else happening?

    ReplyDelete
  10. annaby - how did you get a hammer?

    ReplyDelete
  11. I guess you have to keep on selecting stand up because all of a sudden the view changed and now I and either "go" or look around...

    ReplyDelete
  12. ohhh progress (even though I am not sure if there is any point!) not sure what I done but have got up now

    ReplyDelete
  13. ewwww don't forget to flush the toilet!

    ReplyDelete
  14. So all that wasn't even the game?? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  15. I got the hammer from clicking toilet south, cover, closed cover. Eventually the hammer was there.
I think that was after clicking on the hatch scene a hundred times and then hearing a crash

    ReplyDelete
  16. I agree - tried to make this seem interesting, but it's too repetative. I can't do anything other than look at an empty soap dish. I had some soap, but it's gone and i don't even know what I did with it.... Good Luck to anyone who can go further.

    ReplyDelete
  17. only clues I have:
OxBOBA (can't remember from where - someone in toilet view) and
    0,1,2,3 - numbers on valves

    ReplyDelete
  18. So could you even do anything with the hammer?
I am exactly the same @ zoe. Just going around in circles LOOKING at the same stuff but can't take anything or do anything!

    ReplyDelete
  19. another clue - after clicking on the highlighted toilet paper (a hundred times) got a message: E is 1110 in binary

    ReplyDelete
  20. no, can't do anything with the hammer and why am I still here?

    ReplyDelete
  21. keep clicking on toilet paper - more clues -
    OxBOBA in binary ...

    ReplyDelete
  22. lol you have more patience than I do annaby!

    ReplyDelete
  23. well, I think we're in purple hell land now

    ReplyDelete
  24. hex zero is 4 binary zeros - I'm lost

    ReplyDelete
  25. And now I have a chisel, a hammer and a wrench

    ReplyDelete
  26. And a flashlight and a plunger.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Open Valves 0,1,3 close 2. Flush.
    Close all valves. Flush.
Open valves 0,1,3. close 2. Flush.
Open valves 2,3. close 0,2. Flush.
Then I flushed again and got a lamp and with lamp I could see and turn on cold water valve and got a plunger.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Used plunger on door handle and...
    another toilet.

    ReplyDelete
  29. thanks Peke! No wonder I couldn't get any further

    ReplyDelete
  30. And I did mean
Open valves 1,3. close 0,2. Flush.
    not 2,3. damn typo.

    ReplyDelete
  31. No idea about the rules in #2 toilet. You can smash things and open door but it always brings you back to undamaged toilet.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I smashed everything except the lights - need another tool for that?

    ReplyDelete
  33. okay - now I'm really leaving
Good luck Peke if you're still there

    ReplyDelete
  34. I have and idea about the rule of #2 toilet but no time to test it. There is probably an order in which things need to be broken and #2 valve is the last one. if entering new toilet something extra damage is done then those items should have been broken first.

    ReplyDelete
  35. toilet #1: how did you get the plunger to win over the door handle? doesn't move an inch here...

    ReplyDelete
  36. for future players - to use the tools, click on the tool, then on the highlighted word

    ReplyDelete
  37. how did you get the plunger which valves open/close?

    ReplyDelete
  38. plunger - see Peke's comment at 9:19

    ReplyDelete
  47. Haha, this IS your game if you're really fucking frustrated!! I should program such thing too, and give it to would-be street rioters and troublemakers! :S
Probably this would get them so satisfied that they do no longer want to physically destroy anything! :P
(after arriving at the 12th toilet ;))

    ReplyDelete
  48. Speaking of which, you will find another hint (which I do not understand though) 2,3,5,7

    respectively

    ++
    +++
    +++++
    +++++++

    Whatever that means...

    ReplyDelete
  49. super game; great graphics; something new!

  50. Greatings from the author!!! :)

  51. author help the people pls!

what does that 2,3,5,7 hint one the toilet paper in the "higher-numbered" restrooms point to? I have not the slightest clue...

    ReplyDelete
  52. -what does that 2,3,5,7 point to?

Use your mind, young Luke. :)
Also - the letters may give some extra hint.
"Close your eyes, you can find all you need in your mind!" (c) Dream Theater :)

Also the letters you found may give you some extra hint.
"Close your eyes, you can find all you need in your mind" (c) Dream Theater ("Take the Time")

The only hint I can give you - a video hint for EtT-2 on our official site (see above). Because EtT-2 was hard to understand for most of people. But still - my opinion (and not only mine) is that EtT-2 is simplier than EtT-1.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hate the navigation. take way too much system resources for the type of game. the game engin is wonky.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Yeah. Navigation is sux. I agree. EtT-2 has much simplier navigation.

Some people like this game. Most people hate it. Some feel happy when getting out (the chosen ones). :)
But nobody is left indifferent. :)

  56. Addendum to Premier's notes.
The Toilet roll holder contains a lot of information.

In Toilet #1, it gives you:
    - "0x-B0-BA" in hex,
    - tells you to convert it to binary:
    "0000-xxxx 1011-0000-1011-1010"
    - tells you that the positions are (left to right) 3,2,1,0
So, (left to right, skipping the "0x" byte)
1011 is 3,1,0 open and 2 closed (for the hammer)
0000 is all closed (for the chisel)
1011 is 3,1,0 open and 2 closed (for the wrench)
1010 is 3 and 1 open, 2 and 0 closed (for the light)

In the Toilet #2, it tells you to start destroying things.

When you go into succeeding rooms you get (when you look) in order:
    "N"
    "I"
    "M"
    "2 3 5 7"
    and then the + pyramid.

2 3 5 7 is the number of + signs in each row of the pyramid.
If you destroy things, then re-check, the + signs change to minus signs.
    ++ is (basin, closet)
    +++ is the 3 lights
+++++ is (2 sink valves, 3 valves by toilet)
+++++++ is (?, towel rack, soap dish, shelf, 3 hooks) ? is probably the toilet roll holder, but you can't check it once it's destroyed.)

I haven't figured out the significance of "NIM" (Tempted to play in Russian to see what the clue is there)

    ReplyDelete
  57. In Russian, the 3 letters are the phonetic equivalents of N, I, M (Н, И, M).

Looked up NIM in wikipedia, and see it is a game!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Wow, Puzzled,
    what an endurance!
    Addicted to john privy...!
    ;-D

    ReplyDelete
  59. FINALLY
    Here's a way to finish.
(I had to do this with coins on the table after reading NIM strategies 2 or 3 times.)

Goal is to make the computer take the last item.
Start with a "stage 2" toilet (nothing demolished).
    You start with (2357)
    - Destroy 3 hooks (2354)
(Computer takes out 2 lights) (2154)
    - Destroy basin and toilet (0154)
(computer takes out 3rd light (0054)
    -Destroy 1 valve (0044)
(computer takes out remaining valves (0004)
    - Destroy towel holder, soap dish, and shelf (0001)

    ReplyDelete
  60. If you've gotten past the + pyramid, you can check the TP holder at each stage just to verify what has happened. The number I give are the number of "+"s left in each row ("pile" in NIM-speak).

    ReplyDelete
  61. Yes, premiere, I hate to leave a game unfinished, especially once I realize it's mathematical basis.

For me, the exceptions are ones that rely on mouse proficiency or click speed (mini-games) or mad pixel-hunting, or ones that have such language barriers that you can't tell what the problems are, let alone understand the solutions.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I started my last round in #20!
The best clue was when you noticed that if you destroyed 1 or 2 lights, the next room had them all out!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Oh, PuzzledinCA! You've made it! The game is for guys like you, man! For the ones who try, and not for ones who give up. :) You've escaped! And others have stayed there forever. :))

So, go ahead! You are ready for EtT-2! :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. Thanks for the congrats, vpodobaev, but if you check my profile, you'll see I'm a woman!
Don't think I'm quite crazy enough for #2, though!

    ReplyDelete
  65. PuzzledinCA, though there's no info about your gender in your profile - I believe you!
But it can only mean that the game is simple enough that even women can escape. And there's a big shame on those lazy men who have not.

But also - the fact that you are female and the fact you've escaped - these facts together mean that you are not a normal woman. :) So, I think you are "quite crazy enough" to escape the second Toilet. :) Or at least you may try some sport in EtT-3. :)

    ReplyDelete
  66. YEAH Puzzled,
    You did it!
Now you're really in love with John Privy, aren't you...!
    ;-D

    CONGRATS

    ;-D

btw: I looked at EtT-2 & I find it easier (at least the navigation, lol)

    ReplyDelete
  67. @premiere-- I'm humbled! Thank you very much (That's much how I felt when I finally got out!)
I looked at #2 briefly, but couldn't figure out how to do anything. Besides, I'm a little sick of toilets by now!

@vpodobaev -- I think your prejudices are showing! Many women make fine mathematicians and gamers and more could if they didn't run into those kinds of discouragements!

    ReplyDelete
  68. @vpodobaev -- Thanks for letting me know about my profile -- I have fixed it. When I set it up, I thought I had decided to go with specifying my gender because of the many excellent women gamers on the EG24 site.

    ReplyDelete
  69. PuzzledinCA. These "discouragements" are just friendly cautions. :) Of course, women can do men's jobs. Nobody prevents them from their ability. But is it normal? :) Maybe it is breaking the natural order of life? And what happens when we break the natural order? Nothing good. My opinion is that men's jobs like hard science, weight lifting, doing business, etc. - are bringing damage to woman's nature. Women often take everything too serious and spend their life resource on this junk like games, mathematics and so on. While for a man - it is just a game. That's why a man sometimes should stop a woman. :) And woman should listen to a man. At least sometimes. It is a good woman's quality - to listen to a man. :) But modern men often do not want to do men's job and to take responsibilities. So, unfortunately, they are not worth listening to. And women are forced to do men's jobs.

    ReplyDelete
  70. @vpodobaev- lololol. you know it's 2011, right?
