in the other rooms were symbols representing 3 numbers if you add the top 2 and then multiply the sum by the first number again you have the bottom nummer

ReplyDeleteThe staff is in the coffin, in the room with the 3 buttons on the wall. Use the knife and pickaxe, to open it and then the pickaxe (or knife) to take it from the skeleton.

ReplyDeleteYou must first use the handle and golden staff on the big tank. Then do the pipes puzzle and then you can use the bottle (from the professor desk) on the water hold thing on the left wall (one room back from the professor).
So, to be clear here...you are encouraged to smash the all vases...then, it turns out you need to fill them with water...to get lighter fluid?

The soution to the math was 1.244.500
ReplyDeleteSo the big one on the left is 1 million, so that's the man shape/symbol. Then the rat shapes/symbols. Two of them to make 200.000 etc.
Anyway you fill it in like this:
MAN RAT-STICK-STICK-BATON-BATON
-------RAT-STICK-STICK-BATON-BATON
and the 5 swirly symbols on the right to make the 500.
There are 4 vases you cannot break, those are the ones to fill with water....

Jack: When you get to a room where there is a hole, and a ladder going down, go into the room on the right - that's where the 4 vases are. You have to go back to the water trough four times to fill each vase...then smoke comes out and you can use the lighter to light all the torches

ReplyDeleteJack, in the room with the 3 buttons push them to open a passage behind the professor. There are three areas inside to work out...the water tank with puzzle, the 4 vases to fill with water and another puzzle to solve down the ladder (fixing the tank will drain the water).
ReplyDeleteFound the missing vases and coin. In the room with the buttons for secret panels, press only the middle button then go back to the room with the ladder going down. The fuel room will be closed and a new storage room will be open on the left.

Go down the stairs and you found the professor
Get the PICK AX from by the sarcophagus he is using as a desk
Get the BOTTLE from by him
Click to talk to him
Give him the map in your inventory
Get a GOLD COIN 1/14
Back up
Smash the vase at the top of the stairs (vase 1/16)
Take the RED GEM that falls
Go back
Smash 2 vases here (vases 2 and 3/16 and coin 2/14)
Place the red gem in the eye of the statue to the right
Enter the new room
(coins 3 and 4/14 in the eyes of the skull on the shelf)
Take the ODD SKULL by the sarcophagus in here
(smash 6 vases in here – vases 4,5,6,7,8,9/16; coin 5/14)
Get the PARCHMENT by smashing the nearest one
Click the puzzle on the right wall
Drag the triangular pieces to their correct positions (you don’t need to rotate any pieces and they will snap into place when correct)
Enter the new room
(smash the vase in this room for vase 10/16)
Click the chess board – move the back piece second from the left in the top row for coin 6/14)
Go right (coin 7/14)
Then forward
(smash vases 11, 12, 13/16 and get coins 8,9,10/14)
Use the pickax on the coffin on the wall
(get coin 11/14)
Use the knife to free the GOLD STAFF
Press the top button on the right wall, but leave the bottom and middle one unpressed
Go left and back up 2 times
Go down the stairs
There is now a hidden door opened behind the professor
Give him the odd skull for the HANDLE
Give him the parchment and he will make notes on it
Click the parchment to see the about item view of it
Go left through the new door
(gold coin 12/14)
Go straight and you are at the water machine
Try the handle on the circle in the center, and it will break
Now try the gold staff
Now click the center and see the pipes are all out of alignment
Click to rotate them correctly
Back up and go down the stairs
Turning on the water pump cleared out the water that was in this room, but it is still to dark to see
Go back up
Go back 2 times so you are at the top of the stairs
Use the green water bottle on the water trough on the left wall
Go down and give the professor a drink (coin 13/14)
Back up and refill the water
Go down, left and then into the right room
Pour the water into one of the 4 vases
Repeat this process until you have put water into all 4
Go into the hall by the ladder down into the dark room
Go forward and use the lighter on the torch – you can light the gasses!
Back up and light the 2 torches
Go down the hole and light the torch – you can now look at the puzzle, but you don’t know how to solve it yet
Go back up
Go around and light all the torches
Carefully note the odd symbols that appear on some of the walls – you don’t need to find them all, but they are hints about how to do the math for the last puzzle
When you get to the room with the 3 blocks you can press (the ones that open hidden doors, unpress the top one so only the middle is pressed in)
Go back to the professor and then into the new left room
(smash vases 14,15,16/16; get the last coin 14/14)
Back up and go down the ladder
Zoom on the puzzle and solve the math
Solution Below
Go up the ladder and back up to the professor
Oh! He’s gone
Go into the light and click through the ending dialog

Solution to the final math/symbols puzzle thanks to Kuddy!!!
The paper the professor marks up for you tells you what each symbol stands for. The symbols you find when lighting the torches gives you the hint on how to solve it. I’ll use the easiest one as an example, but the method is the same for them all. Look at the symbols in the room with the 6 skulls in the cubby holes. In the top left positon, there are 2 n shapes. In the top right position are 3 n shapes. We know that each n is 10 from the parchment. So top left is 20 and top right is 30. Add 20=30 to get 50. Now, multiply 50 (the solution of adding the top 2 sets of numbers) to the top left number. So here it would be 50x20=1000. This is the same value as the symbol given under the 2 top sets. This holds true for all the examples in the game – add the top 2 sets of numbers and then multiply by the first number.
So go down the ladder and zoom on the puzzle on the back wall. The left symbol is a spiral = 100. The right symbols= 1 log, 2 plants,3 spirals, 4 ns and 5 lines = 10,000+2000+300+40+5=12,345.
Now add 100+12,345=12,445 and multiply that by the first number: 12,445*100=SPOILER1,244,500SPOILER
Enter that number into the spaces in the puzzle:

Side note, if you hang on to your knife a little longer, you can scratch your name onto the water pump face. Doesn't seem to do anything though.
