ReplyDeleteGreat game! Yes, some blood and bones, but less gross than Being episode 4 with the vampires. Easy game. Terminal hacking? You have an autohacker... it's super easy to figure out the codes. Just read the top line once you're trying to hack the code.

I suggest starting with episode one if you haven't played them yet, or nothing will make sense.
LOL Trig my comment aimed at I couldnt use arrow keys but had to click the arrows at bottom of gamescreen... I was lazy and too much cafe early in the morning here

The ones going in from the left are the base and the ones coming out is how much the original number differs from the actual code
EG
If it goes in as a 7 and comes out as a 2 then the answer is either 5 or 9. If the next number going in on that same level is a 5 and it comes out as a 4 then you know it s a 9. If any number comes out as a 0 then the number that went in is the correct code in that space

I didn't explain it too well before, I hope poor Billy got it.
Look at the first line going across. The number goes into it as one thing and comes out as another, The number that goes into the middle (where the code goes) is a random number. The number that comes out of the right of that column is the amount that it is different to what the actual number should be
e.g.
A 7 goes in and a 2 comes out. That means that the number has to be 2 different from the 7. So it could be 7-2=5 or it could be 7+2=9. Check what the next set of numbers are and you will get a definite number (could be a 5 goes in and a zero comes out or it could be a 5 goes in and a 4 comes out).
Once you have the first number, go on to the next one down and carry on until they are all done.
I tried that way and it only worked for the lift but it won't let me escape because I haven't found the hidden letter.
ReplyDeleteaah, that is in one of the specimen rooms and is done a bit differently. You have to use the arrows at the bottom of the screen to move the little dot from the top left corner to the green swirl at the bottom right. Dodging the shooting red things isn't too hard but you have to do it three times.

Nope, I couldn't open it. Maybe someone else can tell us what we missed. I thought I had found everything because I checked the task list and it was saying the right numbers.

ReplyDeleteThe hacking is simply done by the difference between the number that goes in, and the number that comes out. The numbers change every time, but the difference between the two remain constant.
i.e for the first number, a 2 goes in and a 7 comes out, then a 3 goes in and a -2 comes out, then a 1 goes in and a 6 comes out.
In every case the difference is 5.
That's the first of 4 hacked digits.
