  10. Oh! B4 leaving .. In sc there's a hint: .ha** t** m******...

    guess that relates to .htm

    ReplyDelete
  11. Am such a novice at this - managed level 1 but what eggs are you talking about? This is why I don't play these games. Please help me understand how they work

    ReplyDelete
  12. try some answers fudge. if you get close to the answer it will give you a hint which is called an egg

    ReplyDelete
  13. m....?
hmmm, cannot even find those eggs, how can I intend to solve a riddle.

    ReplyDelete
  14. what level are you on robert. this looks like it will be a real tough one lol

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hi roberto and fudge, are you talking about the eggs on level 2?

If so, look in the SC and scroll down, there are two words that spring to mind. Use them separately and see where it gets you...

    ReplyDelete
  16. Thanks Rambler but if you are used to play this kind of game and are stuck. Better I give up.
Guess you mean start scene by SC is it? If so, I tried every single word. All of them took me to 404.

    ReplyDelete
  17. @roberto, I mean the source code, right click on the main part of the page and choose view source...

    ReplyDelete
  18. I think you mean source code - but even that did not give me any clues. Like Roberto says - if you are not used to this type of game it really is "double dutch".

    ReplyDelete
  19. My bad! SC could not mean start scene. lol.
    I meant Source code.

    ReplyDelete
  20. roberto and fudge, if you would like to play these riddles. why not try jons teaching riddle first. that will really give you some idea of how riddles work.

    ReplyDelete
  21. found an egg lol. But didn´t help me at all.

    ReplyDelete
  28. thanks bigtank - will have to be tomorrow now. Drowning my sorrows at not finding any eggs. Good luck to you all

    ReplyDelete
  29. Had to anagram it. On lvl 4 now.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Okay I got it, I was always including the title lol

And did anyone get the egg on 3?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Lol @roberto. Let's do 4....

    ReplyDelete
  32. got an egg on 4, but still stuck

    ReplyDelete
  33. Got an egg too, W**** m* d*** and J*** d* i*

    Hmmmmm...

    ReplyDelete
  34. got a diferent one: J*** d* i*.

    ReplyDelete
  35. j** d** i* has to do with the famous sport´s fashion?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Nike.

She was a Greek goddess too...

    ReplyDelete
  37. Didn´t get the egg: W**** m* d*** .

    ReplyDelete
  38. @roberto, it's the title of the jdi egg...

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh! Thanks. never look at that title.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hi All

Stuck on lvl 3. Used letters and anagram.. not working. Lots of options, but nothing has worked.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hi EnJoy, and welcome.

anagramming is a capital idea, just look at the page though (two words in answer)

    ReplyDelete
  42. Oh I got it.

On level 3 don't forget to use the title above the picture

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks Rambler.. I had a pop

    ReplyDelete
  44. Good girl :o)

Now help me and roberto on level 4.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I got the egg on 4. Nothing coming to mind except the shoe co.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Did you see the SC clue.

Somehow I think we take initials, but I can't make anything of what we've got so far...

    ReplyDelete
  47. No.. will go back and look at SC. I forgot what it was

    ReplyDelete
  48. well, I used the SC to get the egg. .htm on the pic URL.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Oh, ahh well, maybe I was lucky when I got the egg originally lol

    ReplyDelete
  50. did you guys get two eggs or just the one

    ReplyDelete
  51. @bigtank, just the one, I think I confused everyone by quoting the egg page title as well...

    ReplyDelete
  52. By title, I mean what's displayed on the tab...

  55. hi, found another egg on 4, but still stuck. change e********.
have to leave, but I hope you'll get this level till I come back

    ReplyDelete
  56. Solved level 4! After you found the second egg, you need f**** n*** of one of the b*** m******

    ReplyDelete
  57. stuck again on lvl 6. I thought it could be r**, but I don't get something readable.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Chipsi,
    It's r**
Maybe try to play a bit with using single or double digits.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Well, finally temp end, but the last level (10b) was just plain stupid.
Why picking colours on the first pic and not on the second pic?
Then using an alternative anagram solver to get two words.
But the worst part of all, it depends on what part of the letter you use your colour picker to get the right code/letter.
But, I know, it's for free and I chose to play etc. So, thanks for the riddle anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  60. absolutely no idea on 12 at all

    ReplyDelete
  61. Can anyone tell me how to solve level 2. I open the SC, and can't find the 2 words . And what are the eggs everyone keeps talking about ?

    ReplyDelete
  62. I have never been able to figure out how to play a URL riddle game. I know we are not supposed to give specific answers, but ...

could someone please explain exactly what to put in the URL for level 1?

I have no idea if I am actually able to solve any of these riddles because I'm not really sure how to put the answer in. Plus, I figure since no one left clues to level one, it must be pretty simple!

    Thanks :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. OH POP.

I did level 1. OMG. lol Thanks anyways

    ReplyDelete
  64. thanks @small-tool, had it right in front of me and didn't see it.

Now I stuck again on lvl 7. I've found a .wav in the source, am I supposed to hear something? Because I just get an error-page with it.

    ReplyDelete
  65. @hiepsioixanh
you get an egg-page when you are putting your answer in url. Egg-page means that you are on the right track, but you haven't solved the level yet. It often gives you another hint to find the right answer.
For level 2, take the sentence you've found very literally. Maybe try some of the words of this sentence, to find your first egg.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Chipsi,
    You don't need a wav.
Just name the guy who is watching you. He's in the pic. It's from a game, but you can find it out without knowing the game. Just look at his colour and what he is.

    ReplyDelete
  67. thanks again @small-tool, never would have found this without your help

    ReplyDelete
  68. I've been stuck on no. 6 for days. Why does K equal 17?. It's 18th on the keyboard and 11th in the alphabet, so it's clearly something else, right? Any hint that would push me in the right direction?

    ReplyDelete
  69. lim, i ll try to help if i can
use the alphabet but number the letters having in mind that K=17, then change the numbers below to letters, some of them are 1 digit, some are 2 digits ,think that 9 is 9 , couldt be 91 and you ll get a word (11 letters)

    ReplyDelete
  70. I dont know if all that makes any sense, hope so LOL

    ReplyDelete
  71. Thanks, I got it!
    Solving No. 7 now.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Any other hints for lvl 4? I found the first egg but now I'm completly stuck... Have no idea how to get the second egg...

    ReplyDelete
  73. spela, dont know how to give you a hint thats not the answer, let me try to find someone who can

    ReplyDelete
  74. @spela you changed sth. on the pic-url to get your first egg. change this thing again to get your second egg.

Level 10 is driving me nuts! I got numbers from the sings by looking at my k*******, I tried to connect this numbers on the title but don't get any further. I tried to convert them to letters, I tried to add them, I tried to multiply them, I counted the signs and multiplied them with the numbers, but I am still lost. Help please!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Chipsi,
There is a way to make the title 10.
Do the same method with the other numbers.
    Answer is a number.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Thanks small-tool for coming here, I wanted to help but dont know if a hint will be considered as an answer !

    ReplyDelete
  77. spela, mtatt said for lvl 4 "title is important how would you do that"

    ReplyDelete
  78. yeah, 10b! Thanks again small-tool!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Ty all for the help! Didn't solve it yet, but I'm gonna think about it. At least I made some progress and now I know in which direction to think =)

    ReplyDelete
  80. Finnaly solved lvl 4!! Wanna just thank again everybody for the help! =)

    ReplyDelete
  81. you re welcome Spela and from mtatt who gave the hint

    ReplyDelete
  82. Hi, need help again for 10b. I am on the second egg-page, the one with "the sweetest price...". I've read a lot about hdd-errors, pressing any key, what to do if this doesn't work, not that I understood half of it. I'm still thinking about the sweetest prize, as for me the closest thing is either to ask a friend for help or throwing the whole thing out of the window and buy a new one. Obviously nothing of this works. Any hint for a complete computer idiot?

    ReplyDelete
  83. first of replies may aid totally

    ReplyDelete
  84. Where are the days when people were playing here instead on chat? I miss all their useful comments :)

I hope someone can help me on 12, I looked at the n*****s, thinking they are d*******t n*****s.
basic conversion got me nowhere either..
    stuck !

    ReplyDelete
  85. @Truus, remember the name?
    What game are you playing?
    Draw lines.

    ReplyDelete
  86. And about chatting instead of posting? I didn't have a choice the past few days since I couldn't have any access to my blogger due to security setting during my visit to Mexico. I'm not sure I'm totally fond to the 'EG24 new way of playing'

    ReplyDelete
  87. thanks @Edgar. And personally I don't like it much either, I always thought it was fun the way we all played it before. This new way (on chat) only works if you have the time for playing live.
    ~~ which I don't have much lately :(

Anyway, I hope you had a nice time in Mexico!
*to the drawing table now* lol

    ReplyDelete
  88. aww, such a lovely solution to 12.

    thanks again edgar!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Oh my, I've been staring at the pics on 13 for hours now. I saw the SC, but how to apply?
    Any hints?

    ReplyDelete
  90. Hi Truus, 13 is simpliest math. I've sent you a mail.

    ReplyDelete
  91. ahh, thank you chipsi!
haha it seems so easy now, lol

    ReplyDelete
  92. Yeah, it's easy, when you know the answer :)
Come and help me with lvl 16, stuck at the "this is............you asshole" page. All I know is, that it is a movie character.

    ReplyDelete
  93. sorry, I'm not that fast, still thinking about 13

    ReplyDelete
  94. oops, ahem level 14 not 13..

    ReplyDelete
  95. for 14 think about greek mythology. you need the name of the person mentioned in the poem.

    ReplyDelete
  96. got it, on 15 now, thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  97. well I managed to find a word on 15, but sadly that is not the answer lol

    ReplyDelete
  98. Truus,
You found more than a word. At the end of the word is one thing extra. So do something at the end of the url too.

    ReplyDelete
  99. thank you @small :) got it!

    ReplyDelete
  100. People are playing riddles in chat because the makers throw an absolute fit is anybody offers a good hint....we don't have a PM system here so chat is the next best thing. There is a way to view comment archives in chat if you scroll to the top of the page....plus, you can ask people for help with a level directly instead of reading through 100's of comments about levels you have played or not yet seen.

    ReplyDelete
  101. @Jon, I do realise why people play on chat, although I don't really understand how that will not upset the makers. Anyways, you have to know, not everyone likes chat, like me for instance. It just goes too fast for me and I can not concentrate on both chat and the riddles at the same time.
I also know there is a way to view the archieves, but after a few days, the chat is gone and here, the comments will always remain.
And about scrolling through the comments, I didn't mind that. There were always many useful hints for me to read. This is just my opinion though, that is why I wrote "personally" in my other comment.

    ReplyDelete
  102. The riddle chat was a good idea for the Gamershood Riddle Contest. Personally I still prefer to post comments here than to play in a cbox, nevertheless the undeniable advantages for the real-time player for the big (spoiling) help they(we) can get.
If the author of this game got angry, it was because (other than he having a silly childish attitude) we felt we could occasionally give straight answers in the not-so-secret cbox, the same way Nordinho people do via pagers or PMs.
That fact made some players stopped playing this particular game, and it was absolutely not the reason for people migrating to cboxs. No author caused that, but 'we' ourselves (EG24 riddle players).
I am, indeed, a riddle-cbox user, but I really wish here to be the main playing place... again.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Now for 20B, is someone else having problems to get the page when entering the (very long) answer from the grid?

    ReplyDelete
  104. Hi Edgar, I didn't realise you were still playing.
This morning I couldn't get in the game, it works fine for me now though. My son just helped me solve level 18 :)
19 was not that difficult I think,
    starting 20 now.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Hi Truus!
I guess there was a server issue. Site works OK indeed.
Well, after a little fixing to my answer I finally solved the chapter. News is that next one will be released by May 5th.
Anyway, I have to go out again and will be back here later tonight. See you!
    P.S. Good luck solving

    ReplyDelete
  106. Thanks @Truus for your help on 16b!!!
    I just reached 20b and I am scared! :)

    ReplyDelete
  107. finally solved this chapter too :)

    ReplyDelete
  108. I think for 21 you need to find the lyrics.
I tried using the numbers to pick letters, found just the first one and then kinda guessed the word..

    ReplyDelete
  109. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  110. For 21, work first with the string of numbers from source.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I´m still stuck on level 4!!!! Pleeeease help!!! I put it "type" but it´s not working... :(

    ReplyDelete
  112. @Rocket Queen, I had to go back to level 4 and saw they changed it. I assume you are in the egg page that it says "don't say a word" instead of the former "just do it"
In any way, you must change the extension to read the next clue, and this could be either a text page to read online or an Office document to download, depending on the version of the game you are playing. This last one could be what you need (if you started it recently and are playing the 'fixed' version).

    I'll be around.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Ah, I see the new levels were posted after all..good!
Hi Edgar, thanks for posting the correct way of solving 21. I don't know how the heck I solved it, must have had some sort of epiphany :)

    ReplyDelete
  114. Hi Truus! How are you doing? Me not so good... stuck in 23 since yesterday, LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  115. I'm also on 23, stuck with 5 numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Which could actually be 4, if you see the last two digits closer to each other than the rest... or perhaps only 3?
Anyway, I've tried to ROT all possible combos. The most legible things I've got are 'arc' and 'pgr' (that stands for an extension) but non has got me anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I see what you mean about the last 2 digits.
Tried Rot too, even Leet (kinda referring to the My Fair Lady story ?)nothing useful yet though

    ReplyDelete
  118. Well, no google needed they say. Have to leave now. Won't be able to come back but until later this evening. See you! GL.

    ReplyDelete
  119. just wondering (out loud, lol) if the name of the background jpg is important at all..

    ReplyDelete
  120. on 24 now.
23 is about picking letters from the grid after all, just find the correct way of picking.

    ReplyDelete
  121. grid? lol, make that text

    ReplyDelete
  122. I need help on 2 :(

    ReplyDelete
  123. okay i got the two "eggs" but I'm not sure how to use that info to find the answer!

    ReplyDelete
  124. haha just got it, had to take it EXTREMELY LITERALLY, but I did feel stupid after I found it. BTW, is there a way to edit my posts so I don't post 3 in a row?

    ReplyDelete
  125. Hi thegman, sorry didn't see you needed help before. Glad you got it though! I don't think you can edit posts here, but don't worry about posting in a row, we all do that :)

    ReplyDelete
  126. thanks Truus! any help on 4? i've gotten the .hate the memory clue, but i'm stuck at the shoe slogan

    ReplyDelete
  127. TY Truus! I'm at 25 now.

For 24, you need 5 sets of numbers scattered around.

    ReplyDelete
  128. @thegman, read my post at 5/7/12 11:44 PM
    It's exactly what you need.

    ReplyDelete
  129. thank you for the hint, i got the .*x* extension, but if you don't mind explaining, how was I supposed to know to change that?

    ReplyDelete
  130. Sorry. I have no reasonable answer for that. Sometimes logic gets overwhelmed by pure suppositions and guessing. It's what it makes the difference between a good riddle and a bad one. Newby authors should know...
Well, you are not done with that level. Get ready for more frustration perhaps. What you next need is a name.

    ReplyDelete
  131. yeah obviously i've found where the text comes from, but I can't find the name, is it at least logical i've tried the name of the song, the band name, the other name of the song, the song that comes after it, gahhhhhh

    ReplyDelete
  132. @thegman, I hated that level. Excuse if I spoil it too much but... what the heck!
The name you need can be found on the comments for that song in this site:
    http://www.songmeanings.net

    Good hunting.

    ReplyDelete
  133. and too late again, sorry.
I'm here on and off, making dinner as well.

I'm on 26 now, need to find out how to put pics together first..

    ReplyDelete
  134. got it, but that didn't make a helluva lot of sense, no offense to the game creator

    ReplyDelete
  135. Truus, I'm on and off too LOL!. Can I have a hint for 25?
Googling won't help much there. I've only found one space flight by that date and non of the crew members work as an answer. The most obvious one should be the American one... but nada!

    ReplyDelete
  136. sure, start by looking here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apsis

    ReplyDelete
  137. Truus, I wish I could say I did a little logical solving, but no. Tried some of the words in the site you gave and made my way through. Will stop for the day in level 27. Thanks for the company :-)

    ReplyDelete
  138. I know, it was a weird level.
I just solved 26 and will call it a day too.
    Good night!

    ReplyDelete
  139. Edgar....now I get it!!! Tks!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  140. Still stuck on level 4!! I think my brain doesn´t woek anymore!! lol .....I´m on the second egg...already try every n*** from t***´s b*** and nothing so far....

    ReplyDelete
  141. Rocket Queen, you only need his f**** n***

    ReplyDelete
  142. Edgar Helluuuupp!!, are you around? :)
Did you solve 27 yet? I'm running out of ideas.
    Found the SC hint
Tried connecting the stars, hoping to find a constellation, or a number, or letters,
    or just ... anything LOL

    ReplyDelete
  143. Haven't tried it Truus!
Give me a while. If something I am NOT is a fast solver... lOL!

    ReplyDelete
  144. LOL, ok take your time! :)
I'll keep trying too, hope it's not just another illogical level..

    ReplyDelete
  145. Don't you feel like solving the source hint should be enough? What else does the level want from me???

    ReplyDelete
  146. I really have no idea!
I just noticed someone on Nord is at 28. So it should be solvable, but how????
I anagrammed all I could think of, also first letters of source clue make a file extension (and I wonder why it stands between the f and g), but found nothing with that so far.

    ReplyDelete
  147. my god still stuck in 4, must be thinking to hard..... can't figure it out, even with all the hints, even on the page edgar gave..... can't find a thing.... sooooo lost here.... anyone???

    ReplyDelete
  148. @Janet, maybe if I'm more precise?

    http://www.songmeanings.net/songs/view/3530822107858590266/

    ReplyDelete
  149. ...and remember is one name what you need.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Sorry Edgar, saw that page numerous of times now, read all the posts...... all 144 of them.... one name keeps coming up R****** S***** but that's not it, neither is it Fr***, feel soooo dumb right now..... must be so easy that i don't see it......

    ReplyDelete
  151. OMG!!! got it, but what the heck did that had to do with F**** N*** I keep reading about in these hints???

    ReplyDelete
  152. ahhhhh i see..... okay then, lvl 5 now..... not easy but sure is fun.... need to decipher a morse code or something..... i guess

    ReplyDelete
  153. @Marc,
thank you very much for your help, really appreciate it!!
    finally on 28.
