    ReplyDelete
  41. dismantled weird ornament, she stopped crying

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  60. Oh thanks Nini - needed that precise direction.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Nini - Where? Smarties, just click the numbers on the clock

    ReplyDelete
  76. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  77. POP - silly me!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Use the crystal in the machine - 6 more to go, ugh

    ReplyDelete
  79. she cries when desert is opposite or behind her, not when it's on other walls

    ReplyDelete
  80. miles1 how? I tried but it didn't work

    ReplyDelete
  81. Now for the cuckoo clock... any ideas?

    ReplyDelete
  82. Random clicking with the tuning crystal on the 'machine' made it turn around and become a clock (somewhere towards the right side)

    ReplyDelete
  83. All very confusing. Would have thought the tuning fork would have helped the cuckoo to sing.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Top right pic on book: Robert Capa September 5, 1936.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I'm assuming we have to arrange the pictures in the book in order of dates, but I can't figure it out. Is the Vietnam war one, an a date of an exact event?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Anymore ideas out there on the order of the photos in the scrap book? May be clue for digital clock by door?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Hm.. the dates are wrong on the book.. maybe we need to fiz them and use the correct numbers on cuckoo

    ReplyDelete
  88. What is the bottom right picture?

    ReplyDelete
  89. The words under the boxes may relate to the pictures in the book? Letters from iwo jima?

    ReplyDelete
  90. Can't find top left nor bottom right pics

    ReplyDelete
  91. I think the bottom right picture is the wish lanterns. Those lights they release into the air?

    ReplyDelete
  92. Spanish Civil War, 2nd World War, Vietnam War and ?
    Not sure if this helps...

    ReplyDelete
  93. The atomic bomb was April 6, 1945

    ReplyDelete
  94. I have to step out for a second, I'll be back

    ReplyDelete
  95. Did anyone get the digital walk clock right?

    ReplyDelete
  96. I thought the nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was in August

    ReplyDelete
  97. I give up, twice now the game just quit on me and wanted me to start over. Not doing all that again. Good luck the rest of you.

    ReplyDelete
  98. not yet evans I tried checked #s from scrapbook, # of letters in words clue, system time, nothing worked yet

    ReplyDelete
  99. WWII was 1939/9-1945/9, which matches the blanks in the book

    ReplyDelete
  100. Oh! that makes more sense lol

    ReplyDelete
  101. Vietnam war was 1 Nov 1955 to 30 April 1975

    ReplyDelete
  102. Spanish civil war started July 1936 and ended March 1939 which also matches blanks.

    ReplyDelete
  103. When was the last time the festival of lights in January?

    ReplyDelete
  104. So what's the last picture? One of the Iraq wars?

    ReplyDelete
  105. 1936/7-1939/4 - Spanish Civil war.. (month is wrong on book)
1955/11-1975/4 - Vietnam War (month is wrong again on book)

    ReplyDelete
  106. Are we subtracting the dates?

    ReplyDelete
  107. If we are using the checked numbers and the numbers we get from subtracting, we get duplicates.

    ReplyDelete
  108. The only thing I can find for july to march is the 1990-1991 recession

    ReplyDelete
  109. History.com has the Saanish Civil War ending on 28th March - Wikipedia has 1st April. Might not be a mistake on game.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Well I'm leaving for a while guys! Good luck

    ReplyDelete
  111. Too bad there isn't a save function

    ReplyDelete
  112. I have to go, too - good luck everyone

    ReplyDelete
  113. What's going on with the paintings? Now when I put the desert up to left or right of crystal ball, she cries. Earlier it was opposite

    ReplyDelete
  114. And now she cries if I put it anywhere - she keeps changing her mind

    ReplyDelete
  115. I think she's just fed up that none of us have solved it. I might have a little weep in a moment...

    ReplyDelete
  116. I've been crying for an hour

    ReplyDelete
  117. I just started a new game to see about doing a walkthrough - that alarm clock is defnitely buggy sometimes - gave me the wrong #s, but I used the #s from before and the drawer opened right up

    ReplyDelete
  118. Impossible game? Need to charge phone, light candle, get thing that's too high up, put something in gap in floor, make cuckoo sing and probably more. Are the pictures a red herring? What IS that last picture???

Will come back later when cleverer people have left some clues for me.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Back! I tried to find the conflict for the last pic (bottom right) and found 3 : Chiapas conflict , Cenapa War, Zanzibar revolution.. (They don't seem to be the answer tho)

    ReplyDelete
  120. Cuckoo clock relates to scrap book war pics. Order from earliest to latest. Number 1 upper right (Spanish Civil War) - 3 clicks; No. 2 Lower left (Hiroshima) - 9 clicks; No. 3 Upper left (Vietnam) - 4 clicks; No. 4 Lower right (Gulf War) - 1 click. Just click the cuckoo leaves these number of times in this order and get knife.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Heh! Didn't think of ordering them xD thx Phantom got knife

    ReplyDelete
  122. So now I have a pic of 4 birds I can click and change their colors

    ReplyDelete
  123. THANK YOOOU! So we had all the info after all!

    ReplyDelete
  124. Put desert pic above hourglass!

    ReplyDelete
  125. ty Phantom!

cut box to reveal hourglass and Alexandra note - another thing to try and make sense of

    ReplyDelete
  126. Use knife on box in candle room to get painting with 4 birds. Can click and change colors on birds. Box reveals hourglass. Stuck.

    ReplyDelete
  127. just1 I didn't find any note?

    ReplyDelete
  128. One more clock working! TY Nini!

    ReplyDelete
  129. note is one of the crumpled papers, just to the left of the glass

    ReplyDelete
  130. Found batteries among garbage!

    ReplyDelete
  131. Batteries set phone on fir! Which I assume could be used to light candle but the batteries have come out and won't go back in again.

    ReplyDelete
  132. smarties.. batteries?? I'm clicking like mad but found nothing LOL (oh found the note btw)

    ReplyDelete
  133. Phone to a piece of paper lights candle!

    ReplyDelete
  134. batteries are on the right, thanks smarties

    ReplyDelete
  135. Batteries were in a piece of crumpled paper to the right of the hour glass.

    ReplyDelete
  136. From note: Alexandra becomes Arlinton

    ReplyDelete
  137. Good thinking! 4 clocks to go

    ReplyDelete
  138. Put batteries in cell charger. Catches fire. Light piece of crumpled paper. Light candle with burning paper.

    ReplyDelete
  139. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  140. After lighting candle hiden drawer visible in upper left corner of room. Go to room with too high table, click on table, click on "yes" to get table, go back to candle room to put under hidden drawer and then view weird note.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Great Phantom! Got 4th pic and a triangle

    ReplyDelete
  142. YES! Enter arlington in digital clock

    ReplyDelete
  143. Now.. we need the sun clock to work

    ReplyDelete
  144. Shelf goes in groove to make a sundial!

Just out of curiosity, how did you get Arlington from Alexandra?

    ReplyDelete
  145. put shelf in floor for sundial

    ReplyDelete
  146. Can now pick up crowbar and smash crystal ball.

    ReplyDelete
  147. smarties A is 0 so don't chage.. L is six to the sixt letter after L and so on

    ReplyDelete
  148. What's the point of the note if the answer is written on crystal ball stand????????

    ReplyDelete
  149. well done!
I was sure I had clicked those leaves like that!

The waterfall goes by the boxes and you raise them to make a water clock

    ReplyDelete
  150. new pic makes sundial work!

    ReplyDelete
  151. Thx RSA gor water clock 1 to go!!

    ReplyDelete
  152. Only the colours for the birds to make the last clock work

    ReplyDelete
  153. thanks Momma Cindi, finally got it - you make a kind of staircase

    ReplyDelete
  154. I was thinking maybe the snapshots where the clue to birds pic but no luck so far

    ReplyDelete
  155. Brilliant everybody! So, colour code needed to get the cuckoo to sing? What about the pictures over the scrapbook?

    ReplyDelete
  156. I also thought the snaps and the push pins but no combination seems to be working

    ReplyDelete
  157. I think it's the words, but don't know how

    ReplyDelete
  158. Maybe we need to find another thing too? There's an empty space in inventory and one space left for a picture.

    ReplyDelete
  159. smarties my inv is full.... (table is on bottom left square)

    ReplyDelete
  160. Can pick up table again - not sure why.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Table goes over sand, don't know why?

    ReplyDelete
  162. Bird picture click in decending height according to number of letters in descending order for waterfall clock: highest bird = happiness = 9clicks; next lowest bird = immortal = 8 clicks, etc. Pic will finalize with bird scene, place in wall next to cuckoo

    ReplyDelete
  163. heh now the hourglass is really done xD

    ReplyDelete
  164. Oh dear!
My bird picture is stuck in the middle of the screen!

    ReplyDelete
  165. Hmmm...may have spoken too soon. Appears there may be two endings? I took the normal one.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Well .. my bird pic won't do anything lol

    ReplyDelete
  167. Well done Phantom! Well done everybody! That was epic!

    ReplyDelete
  168. Well I will condsider myself out as I am not starting again! That bird picture just sits in the middle of the screen and I can't shift the &^$%#

    ReplyDelete
  169. Meh! Normal End as well.. Looking for Perfect xD

    ReplyDelete
  170. If I can remember that far back - I think they said there were three possible endings and if you got the perfect end there was an additional game. I don't think I'll go back and look for it though!

    ReplyDelete
  171. I tips me hats to ye, Phantom :P.... hehe

    ReplyDelete
  172. That was truly epic.
Thanks for dragging me through it all - especially Phantom.

    ReplyDelete
  173. It was fun. Thanks, everybody!

    ReplyDelete
  174. Going in

    AND

It's coming up on 200 posts!

    ReplyDelete
  175. Whoo, my head is spinning now!!!
    (And stlll not out)
You guys did a marvellous job (as usual) with this stuff!

May I make a wild guess?
For the Perfect End, you perhaps MUST NOT destroy the crystal ball. Nini asked, what the point is that the solution is written inside the stand? Almost too simple for me to explain: the alphabet puzzle was VERY hard to some people, if not impossible.
That's why players get a second chance of mastering the digital clock.

BUT...they might take themselves the chance of getting the Perfect End.
Just assuming, but maybe it will prove right at the end...

    ---
    * Sundial *

Please give me a clue how to get this thing activated. The "darkness" picture somehow does not seem to be related to it.
Maybe it depends if all four pictures are hanging on the wall, or if some are missing?

    ReplyDelete
  176. FINALLY! I did it. You have to place the darkness picture at the position where the huge numbers appear.
AND NOTE - it might be necessary to take off the picture and re-attach it. The picture must change to light and send its beam of light onto the sundial (looks majestic, wow)

    ReplyDelete
  177. I can't get the bird picture to work

    ReplyDelete
  178. Wow, I left and did something else and when I came back the game had closed with the message "closed end" and a statement to the effect that I had lost my opportunity for another end. "Closed end. In the inside of the happy cage called memory..."

    Well then.

    ReplyDelete
  179. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Unfortunately my bird pic isn't doing anything...
From top to bottom *should* be
9 (happiness) 8 (immortal) 4 (copy) 6 (letter) resulting in
    blue red grey purple
but it doesn't change in any way after doing this, and it resets when I put it on the wall.
    Any help?

    ReplyDelete
  181. I had same problem Andrea - eventually got Closed End, which I guess is the worst, if too much time passes and you don't get another clock running (not sure how much)

I tried bird pic every way I could think of includng left and right, reversed, 9-8-6-4, 9-8-4-6, I don't know how many times. It just didn't work.

anyway, I'm stuck here forever. Care for coffee?

    ReplyDelete
  182. Yeah, I went top to bottom, left to right, etc.

Mmmn, coffee sounds great, but I need to pick up some half&half first ;) Maybe I'll go and let the game time out. Kind of a shame, it's a really challenging one and nicely different from the usual (it reminds me of the one about a month ago, with the green rooms with lots of doors), but slightly buggy. I ran into one earlier after setting my phone on fire -- it wouldn't exit the screen and my batteries disappeared.

    ReplyDelete
  183. Great game, especially thanks to the great players who left great comments to get me through.
Just a couple of things: The drawer where we enter the two times was buggy for me (finally, I went to enter another time and it auto-entered 13:15 and opened?)
The bird picture probably took me 20 tries. Just when I had decided "ONE more try and then I'm outta here", it worked. Of course!

I have to wonder if we don't need to get rid of the clothes belonging to the girl in the drawer, since one note said we had to get rid of memories...

I'd really like to know the secret if anyone gets the Perfect End!
