ReplyDeletecan't do much in this one. picked up picture and can put in each scene but nothing accomplished.
ReplyDeleteNini, can you do anything?
ReplyDeleteevans.. I'm stuck with you..
ReplyDeleteI opened book as well and saw I hint for clock in 1st scene but I don't have the pointers
Same here Evans.
ReplyDeleteThe alarm goes off when set the clock at 2:40
ReplyDeleteHm.. made a whole turn on the hour pointer and now the alarm went off at 1:15
ReplyDeletegoes off at 1:15 and 2:40 but can't find use for that. looked in scrap book and can't figure that out either.
ReplyDeleteAnd what about the cuckoo clock? We can click its leaves
ReplyDeletecan open door where cuckoo is too, nothing happens. in back of scrap book grandfather clock says 7:25
ReplyDeleteThought numbers on book were the hint to click leaves but no..
ReplyDeleteno matter where you hang the picture, it makes the girl in the crystal ball cry
ReplyDeleteStrange, my clock only goes off at 2:40
ReplyDeleteAfter making it go off, the girl is smiling
ReplyDeleteSame place (nowhere far :))
ReplyDeleteYou can turn the alarm clock around when it goes off but I don't know why
You have to all the way around past the 12:00 to make if go off again at 1:15
ReplyDeleteMommaCyndi, looks like we need a key for back of alarm.
ReplyDeleteOk.. so completing the book: Atomic Bomb: Nagasaki , 9 August 1945.
ReplyDeleteNow my clock goes off at 2:40, 10:35 and 12:00
ReplyDeleteGreetings L&G!
ReplyDelete☺
Times from alarm clock open 7-digit-drawer (note colours night/day).
premiere.. how??
ReplyDeletePremiere please spoil, I have no idea how to input #'s
ReplyDeleteTried the 'sclap' to numbers but one too many for the safe!
ReplyDelete2:40/13:15 not working
ReplyDeleteAre everyone's times different? Mine is 2:40 and 10:35
ReplyDeleteMy times from alarm clock:
ReplyDelete1) 2:40 (AM)
2) 1:15 (PM=military time)
premiere.. I did that but no go
ReplyDelete2401315 worked for me. Not what to do with necklace and phone without battery?
ReplyDeleteLOL It's not woking for me!!
ReplyDeleteNow mine is going off at 1:15! But 2:40 and 13:15 isnt working neither is 13:15/2:40
ReplyDeleteIt worked now - I don't know why. buggy?
ReplyDelete2.40 and 13.15 for me. The girl says something when the alarm goes off at 2.40 and is then sad again at 13.15. Is this at all relevant? :/
ReplyDeleteT-T
ReplyDeleteIt won't open
ty Premiere - wonder why you have to go all the way around to find second #
ReplyDeletegot cellphone and girl's necklace, and she's crying again
Opened another game: same alarm times...
ReplyDeleteThe necklace opens the drawer for pincers. Nini - click the top of the drawer after you enter the numbers
ReplyDeletePendant opens drawer. got pliers.
ReplyDeleteRestarted and now Got necklace and phone
ReplyDeleteopen drawer w/ necklace!
ReplyDeleteBreak the thing on the table with the pincers
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Premier,
ReplyDeletetook about 15 tries but got the drawer open
Use pliers to break golden thingy
ReplyDeleteGold ornament in pieces. Looks like clock hands, cogs, keys but can't pick them up.
ReplyDeleteuse pliers to take chain off pendant and put chain on cogs. handle now turns, but nothing found yet
ReplyDeletedismantled weird ornament, she stopped crying
ReplyDeleteAh - you don't need to separate the items. Clicked back of alarm clock then the broken ornament and the key popped into the back of the clock!
ReplyDeleteClock is now stuck at 10:40
ReplyDeleteornament fixes g'father clock too
ReplyDeleteNumber in doorway has changed to 8. * more clocks to get going?
ReplyDeleteoops, still has missing hand
ReplyDeletealso used pliers took apart yellow clock. made alarm ring turned it and used yellow parts to get key and wind up. alarm clock now working
ReplyDeleteOh got it.. clock is synchronized with my computer.. and it's actually 11:43 :)
ReplyDeleteUse pointers in big clock 1st scene
ReplyDeleteJust1 - how did you get the hands to move on the grandfather clock? I put the hands in, but can't do anything else
ReplyDeleteOh and use golden parts again in gears
ReplyDeleteI'm stuck. Can anyone pick up the crowbar? Think that might open grandfather clock.
ReplyDeletethey don't move yet miles - says hand is still missing
ReplyDeleteLetter Copy Immortal Happiness (below stones)
ReplyDeletejust1 u can use golden parts in grandfather clock twice..
ReplyDeleteboth hands placed but clock still not working
There's a green arrow and X by the table I hadn't seen before. Can't place golden parts on the gears.
ReplyDeletesmarties place them next to the golden gear
ReplyDeletejust realized, the graffiti in the corner that looks like arrow pointing to X could be 2, 5, 10 in Roman
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what to do with the letter copy clue
ReplyDeleteOh thanks Nini - needed that precise direction.
ReplyDeleteThe message on the phone doesn't make much sense
ReplyDelete(caught back up - had a blond moment and refreshed the game instead of here)
table w/o ornament is 'slightly too high'...
ReplyDeletebtw thanks Shuchun (and Ikutamaso?)
ReplyDeleteThis is one heck of a game!
Opened grandfathers clock!
ReplyDeleteUse the II V X hint
This is getting frustrating. Can't seem to do anything else
ReplyDeleteThe 500 years quote might relate to the cuckoo clock (from The Third Man with Orson Welles) but don't know how.
ReplyDeleteGot a picture of a desert
ReplyDeleteGreat Nini! Progress! Just1 - nice find on the arrow
ReplyDeletethax @Nini! Didn't realize I just had to search some more for the other hand.
ReplyDeleteYay! Use golden parts again and clock is working!
ReplyDelete7 to go!
OH well done Nini!
ReplyDeletePut the disk from the broken bits on and got a key
Eek - how did you use the 2 5 10 on the clock?
ReplyDeleteAlso got something made of crystal
ReplyDeletesmarties click the numbers
ReplyDeleteNini - Where? Smarties, just click the numbers on the clock
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteNevermind - got it
ReplyDeletemiles1 inside clock
ReplyDeletePOP - silly me!
ReplyDeleteUse the crystal in the machine - 6 more to go, ugh
ReplyDeleteshe cries when desert is opposite or behind her, not when it's on other walls
ReplyDeletemiles1 how? I tried but it didn't work
ReplyDeleteNVM! got it
ReplyDeleteNow for the cuckoo clock... any ideas?
ReplyDeleteRandom clicking with the tuning crystal on the 'machine' made it turn around and become a clock (somewhere towards the right side)
ReplyDeleteAll very confusing. Would have thought the tuning fork would have helped the cuckoo to sing.
ReplyDeleteTop right pic on book: Robert Capa September 5, 1936.
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming we have to arrange the pictures in the book in order of dates, but I can't figure it out. Is the Vietnam war one, an a date of an exact event?
ReplyDeleteAnymore ideas out there on the order of the photos in the scrap book? May be clue for digital clock by door?
ReplyDeleteHm.. the dates are wrong on the book.. maybe we need to fiz them and use the correct numbers on cuckoo
ReplyDeleteWhat is the bottom right picture?
ReplyDeleteThe words under the boxes may relate to the pictures in the book? Letters from iwo jima?
ReplyDeleteGood thinking RSA
ReplyDeleteCan't find top left nor bottom right pics
ReplyDeleteI think the bottom right picture is the wish lanterns. Those lights they release into the air?
ReplyDeleteSpanish Civil War, 2nd World War, Vietnam War and ?
ReplyDeleteNot sure if this helps...
The atomic bomb was April 6, 1945
ReplyDeleteI have to step out for a second, I'll be back
ReplyDeleteDid anyone get the digital walk clock right?
ReplyDeleteI thought the nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was in August
ReplyDeleteI give up, twice now the game just quit on me and wanted me to start over. Not doing all that again. Good luck the rest of you.
ReplyDeleteBomb: 9 August 1945
ReplyDeletenot yet evans I tried checked #s from scrapbook, # of letters in words clue, system time, nothing worked yet
ReplyDeleteWWII was 1939/9-1945/9, which matches the blanks in the book
ReplyDeleteOh! that makes more sense lol
ReplyDeleteVietnam war was 1 Nov 1955 to 30 April 1975
ReplyDeleteSpanish civil war started July 1936 and ended March 1939 which also matches blanks.
ReplyDeleteWhen was the last time the festival of lights in January?
ReplyDeleteSo what's the last picture? One of the Iraq wars?
ReplyDelete1936/7-1939/4 - Spanish Civil war.. (month is wrong on book)
ReplyDelete1955/11-1975/4 - Vietnam War (month is wrong again on book)
Are we subtracting the dates?
ReplyDeleteIf we are using the checked numbers and the numbers we get from subtracting, we get duplicates.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I can find for july to march is the 1990-1991 recession
ReplyDeleteHistory.com has the Saanish Civil War ending on 28th March - Wikipedia has 1st April. Might not be a mistake on game.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm leaving for a while guys! Good luck
ReplyDeleteToo bad there isn't a save function
ReplyDeleteI have to go, too - good luck everyone
ReplyDeleteWhat's going on with the paintings? Now when I put the desert up to left or right of crystal ball, she cries. Earlier it was opposite
ReplyDeleteAnd now she cries if I put it anywhere - she keeps changing her mind
ReplyDeleteI think she's just fed up that none of us have solved it. I might have a little weep in a moment...
ReplyDeleteI've been crying for an hour
ReplyDeleteI just started a new game to see about doing a walkthrough - that alarm clock is defnitely buggy sometimes - gave me the wrong #s, but I used the #s from before and the drawer opened right up
ReplyDeleteImpossible game? Need to charge phone, light candle, get thing that's too high up, put something in gap in floor, make cuckoo sing and probably more. Are the pictures a red herring? What IS that last picture???
ReplyDeleteWill come back later when cleverer people have left some clues for me.
Back! I tried to find the conflict for the last pic (bottom right) and found 3 : Chiapas conflict , Cenapa War, Zanzibar revolution.. (They don't seem to be the answer tho)
ReplyDeleteCuckoo clock relates to scrap book war pics. Order from earliest to latest. Number 1 upper right (Spanish Civil War) - 3 clicks; No. 2 Lower left (Hiroshima) - 9 clicks; No. 3 Upper left (Vietnam) - 4 clicks; No. 4 Lower right (Gulf War) - 1 click. Just click the cuckoo leaves these number of times in this order and get knife.
ReplyDeleteHeh! Didn't think of ordering them xD thx Phantom got knife
ReplyDeleteSo now I have a pic of 4 birds I can click and change their colors
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOOOU! So we had all the info after all!
ReplyDeletePut desert pic above hourglass!
ReplyDeletety Phantom!
ReplyDeletecut box to reveal hourglass and Alexandra note - another thing to try and make sense of
Use knife on box in candle room to get painting with 4 birds. Can click and change colors on birds. Box reveals hourglass. Stuck.
ReplyDeletejust1 I didn't find any note?
ReplyDeleteOne more clock working! TY Nini!
ReplyDelete5 clock to go now
ReplyDeletenote is one of the crumpled papers, just to the left of the glass
ReplyDeleteFound batteries among garbage!
ReplyDeleteBatteries set phone on fir! Which I assume could be used to light candle but the batteries have come out and won't go back in again.
ReplyDeletesmarties.. batteries?? I'm clicking like mad but found nothing LOL (oh found the note btw)
ReplyDeletePhone to a piece of paper lights candle!
ReplyDeletebatteries are on the right, thanks smarties
ReplyDeleteBatteries were in a piece of crumpled paper to the right of the hour glass.
ReplyDeleteFrom note: Alexandra becomes Arlinton
ReplyDeleteGood thinking! 4 clocks to go
ReplyDeletePut batteries in cell charger. Catches fire. Light piece of crumpled paper. Light candle with burning paper.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteAfter lighting candle hiden drawer visible in upper left corner of room. Go to room with too high table, click on table, click on "yes" to get table, go back to candle room to put under hidden drawer and then view weird note.
ReplyDeleteGreat Phantom! Got 4th pic and a triangle
ReplyDeleteYES! Enter arlington in digital clock
ReplyDeletePut triangle on floor
ReplyDeleteNow.. we need the sun clock to work
ReplyDeleteShelf goes in groove to make a sundial!
ReplyDeleteJust out of curiosity, how did you get Arlington from Alexandra?
put shelf in floor for sundial
ReplyDeleteCan now pick up crowbar and smash crystal ball.
ReplyDeletesmarties A is 0 so don't chage.. L is six to the sixt letter after L and so on
ReplyDeletebroke crystal ball!
ReplyDeleteWhat's the point of the note if the answer is written on crystal ball stand????????
ReplyDeletewell done!
ReplyDeleteI was sure I had clicked those leaves like that!
The waterfall goes by the boxes and you raise them to make a water clock
Use knife on girl's pic
ReplyDeletecut girl's picture
ReplyDeleteSundial is working now
ReplyDeletenew pic makes sundial work!
ReplyDeleteThx RSA gor water clock 1 to go!!
ReplyDeleteOnly the colours for the birds to make the last clock work
ReplyDeletethanks Momma Cindi, finally got it - you make a kind of staircase
ReplyDeleteI was thinking maybe the snapshots where the clue to birds pic but no luck so far
ReplyDeleteBrilliant everybody! So, colour code needed to get the cuckoo to sing? What about the pictures over the scrapbook?
ReplyDeleteI also thought the snaps and the push pins but no combination seems to be working
ReplyDeleteI think it's the words, but don't know how
ReplyDeleteMaybe we need to find another thing too? There's an empty space in inventory and one space left for a picture.
ReplyDeletesmarties my inv is full.... (table is on bottom left square)
ReplyDeleteCan pick up table again - not sure why.
ReplyDeleteTable goes over sand, don't know why?
ReplyDeleteBird picture click in decending height according to number of letters in descending order for waterfall clock: highest bird = happiness = 9clicks; next lowest bird = immortal = 8 clicks, etc. Pic will finalize with bird scene, place in wall next to cuckoo
ReplyDeleteheh now the hourglass is really done xD
ReplyDeleteOh dear!
ReplyDeleteMy bird picture is stuck in the middle of the screen!
And out....
ReplyDeleteGreat Phantom!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...may have spoken too soon. Appears there may be two endings? I took the normal one.
ReplyDeleteWell .. my bird pic won't do anything lol
ReplyDeleteWell done Phantom! Well done everybody! That was epic!
ReplyDeleteWell I will condsider myself out as I am not starting again! That bird picture just sits in the middle of the screen and I can't shift the &^$%#
ReplyDeleteMeh! Normal End as well.. Looking for Perfect xD
ReplyDeleteIf I can remember that far back - I think they said there were three possible endings and if you got the perfect end there was an additional game. I don't think I'll go back and look for it though!
ReplyDeleteI tips me hats to ye, Phantom :P.... hehe
ReplyDeleteThat was truly epic.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dragging me through it all - especially Phantom.
It was fun. Thanks, everybody!
ReplyDeleteGoing in
ReplyDeleteAND
It's coming up on 200 posts!
Whoo, my head is spinning now!!!
ReplyDelete(And stlll not out)
You guys did a marvellous job (as usual) with this stuff!
May I make a wild guess?
For the Perfect End, you perhaps MUST NOT destroy the crystal ball. Nini asked, what the point is that the solution is written inside the stand? Almost too simple for me to explain: the alphabet puzzle was VERY hard to some people, if not impossible.
That's why players get a second chance of mastering the digital clock.
BUT...they might take themselves the chance of getting the Perfect End.
Just assuming, but maybe it will prove right at the end...
---
* Sundial *
Please give me a clue how to get this thing activated. The "darkness" picture somehow does not seem to be related to it.
Maybe it depends if all four pictures are hanging on the wall, or if some are missing?
FINALLY! I did it. You have to place the darkness picture at the position where the huge numbers appear.
ReplyDeleteAND NOTE - it might be necessary to take off the picture and re-attach it. The picture must change to light and send its beam of light onto the sundial (looks majestic, wow)
I can't get the bird picture to work
ReplyDeleteWow, I left and did something else and when I came back the game had closed with the message "closed end" and a statement to the effect that I had lost my opportunity for another end. "Closed end. In the inside of the happy cage called memory..."
ReplyDeleteWell then.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately my bird pic isn't doing anything...
ReplyDeleteFrom top to bottom *should* be
9 (happiness) 8 (immortal) 4 (copy) 6 (letter) resulting in
blue red grey purple
but it doesn't change in any way after doing this, and it resets when I put it on the wall.
Any help?
I had same problem Andrea - eventually got Closed End, which I guess is the worst, if too much time passes and you don't get another clock running (not sure how much)
ReplyDeleteI tried bird pic every way I could think of includng left and right, reversed, 9-8-6-4, 9-8-4-6, I don't know how many times. It just didn't work.
anyway, I'm stuck here forever. Care for coffee?
Yeah, I went top to bottom, left to right, etc.
ReplyDeleteMmmn, coffee sounds great, but I need to pick up some half&half first ;) Maybe I'll go and let the game time out. Kind of a shame, it's a really challenging one and nicely different from the usual (it reminds me of the one about a month ago, with the green rooms with lots of doors), but slightly buggy. I ran into one earlier after setting my phone on fire -- it wouldn't exit the screen and my batteries disappeared.
Great game, especially thanks to the great players who left great comments to get me through.
ReplyDeleteJust a couple of things: The drawer where we enter the two times was buggy for me (finally, I went to enter another time and it auto-entered 13:15 and opened?)
The bird picture probably took me 20 tries. Just when I had decided "ONE more try and then I'm outta here", it worked. Of course!
I have to wonder if we don't need to get rid of the clothes belonging to the girl in the drawer, since one note said we had to get rid of memories...
I'd really like to know the secret if anyone gets the Perfect End!
