  2. First~ :P

I too am NOT going to click on any HoodaBrain or HoodaMath game sites anymore.
I don't want my personal info/ e-mail to be "used."

And asking kids , who may not know better, for that info ., is just plain WRONG!

Too many lies Michael Edlavitch, as bill chinery pointed out here on this game

  4. Pretty straightforward.

    SPOILER

To place lightbulbs slide the $ALE sign.

  5. To carry on from the discussion for the previous Hooda game:

I logged in the first time they started it, using my Google account, which is the same way I log in here. I wasn't asked for any details, I just opted to log in with my Google account.

Now I'm automatically logged in when I follow the link from here to any of their games.

  6. As usually, very nice and easy. :-)

  7. How do you get the light bulb, cant find the stick

    ReplyDelete
  8. no stick to find
have you open the 5 letters box?

    ReplyDelete
  9. no,, it wont open with the word shoes , did you find the wrench

    ReplyDelete
  10. shoes is an anagram H...

    ReplyDelete
  11. thank you so much, I didnt think about the anagram

    ReplyDelete
  12. that was it now Im out needed the thongs to get the bulb out

    ReplyDelete
  13. On the other hand, since I'm logged in at HoodaBrain, I was able to play this 24 hours before it was posted here.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Lol thongs/tongs. Freudian spelling slip?

    1. I will not log in to play a game and I will give the lowest possible rating for games which require a log in.

    2. I WILL log in to whine and whinge!

  16. Jon .. does't that raise a valid point then ?? surely you are aware of the grief, yet nothing is done to rectify the problem ... why don't you post a message telling people to shove it if they don't like it, rather than pout like a baby ...

such a said place .. your obviously stressed and not aware of customer service...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Good one, @Huw

Anyone help me find the last bulb? LOL
POP..finally opened that fridge with the paper clue...didn't open the first 20 times I clicked it! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  18. I post games as I find them. For the 1000's of people that play the games, only a few winge about the log in. I'm not pouting, I'm simply a realist and I know that people will complain. I can't win and I realise that.

    ReplyDelete
  19. 150,000 visitors to eg24 every day and about 15 people complain....am I supposed to make a stand for that percentage or post the game for the large majority of players who enjoy the game?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well first of all, you don't have to log in to this site (using your personal info) to comment or play.
And as for name calling, I won't even address the immaturity of that.
    Just the facts! Safety!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Will someone tell me where to use the light bulbs once we've found them? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Oh! POP

I found the place behind the $ALE sign. :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. One star, has nothing to do with logging in, just a crappy game

    ReplyDelete
  24. If you don't want to play the game then don't but stop filling up all the comments sections with complaints. Let those of us who are playing make our comments and give hints.

  26. I've been adjusting my rating higher by one star on games that require a login (of a site of your choice) to account for those who are killing the ratings on purpose. If some would like to join me, we'd only need about three times the aforementioned appx. 15 people to even it out. Ironically, if we overshoot a little bit, the game ratings will benefit and their attempts will backfire.

  27. Seems 'shoes' isn't working on the cooler lock, am I missing something?

    ReplyDelete
  28. I've got 3 light bulbs and stuck. can't find any hot spots. they are suppose to go behind sale sign? no hot spot there. feeling dumb :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. @day dream . anagram the word shoes ... starts with H

    ReplyDelete
  30. ...oh....haha how embarrassing, didn't think of it as an anagram, thank you EnJoy

    ReplyDelete
  31. Good game, always like them, however they are getting a bit short than they used to be

    ReplyDelete
  32. For those of you who do not want to log in.... can you just go away?? You are so annoying with your comments... we dont really care if your not going to play... really

    ReplyDelete
  33. Well, I think people are hoping that SD will notice low ratings and comments. They might do better just to contact him directly and ask (nicely) if he would stop using hooda brain to host his games because of the login wall.

    ReplyDelete
  34. LOL - the irony. 3 comments about not wanting to log in and 12 complaining about how people shouldn't comment about not wanting to log in :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. 1. Hooda Brain is not for Kids
    2. Hooda Brain posts a new game every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and will soon also be posting on Tuesday and Thursday.

If Hooda Games are for little kids, then why are all the adults complaining that they can't play them.
USA law has a lot of restrictions on sites geared to under 13, we are protecting ourselves legally.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Not only is the game boring, but all the cretinous comments.. jtw, who the hell do you think you are? are you getting a cut of the profits?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Pretty straightforward game - can't think of any noteworthy advice to give about any particular bits I had trouble with.

As for the login thing, I just want to say to Jon et al - I have been logging in with my Google account to play these games, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't like an explanation as to why I need to. The fact that an explanation is not being given is decidedly suspicious. Michael Edlavich has also been exceedingly rude and passive-aggressive in his comments to people. No-one would be complaining if they were spoken to politely and were given a sound reason as to why this change has been implemented... but on the contrary, there's a sense here that the loyal and long-time players and supporters of these games are disposable, in an "if you don't like it, you can just go away" sense.

These games did not require a login or signup for ages. Obviously everyone wants to know why one is suddenly mandatory. Give people a decent explanation and the drama will stop. It's literally that simple.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Andrea, maybe SD is getting paid for the games on HoodaBrain?

    ReplyDelete
  42. ... or at least put on a disclaimer, like it was for Flash512 & Gotmail - in the case of the latter, I created an acount at Gotmail.jp, and have never got spam or any other weirdness. And I don't vote on games I haven't played... but with no real explanation of this necessity for logging in, well, I also won't play these games - and that's my last word on it, I promise :) But has anyone taken it up with that website? That's where I'd be asking questions myself...

  48. Like Joe M I will follow, Self Defiant, Ainars, Esclavos, Mateusz Skutnik to wherever they choose to post their games.
So I got myself a new gmail-adress which I will only use for games, and a hooda-account - making sure not to be remembered.

Thanks SD for a nice little game!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Once again, everyone is acting like the only people that play these games are folks that comment. If there are 150,000 visitors a day as jonthewatch says, it is safe to say that a very small percentage of players comment on the games. That would mean that a majority of players don't log in to this site, and are the ones most impacted by this new requirement by Hooda (and are the ones without anyone to speak up for them).

For some, it has nothing to do with spam or even security concerns. Some people simply choose not to log in. Obviously we can also choose to not play the games, but please stop sweeping our concerns under the rug by telling us how easy it is, or how you haven't gotten any spam. That's not the point.

And it's beyond rude to tell people to stop commenting because you don't like the topic they are discussing. I don't see anywhere that says that we are only allowed to comment if we're asking for or providing hints.

  50. I will say this one thing about logging into ANY game. Some of us are computer illiterate and love playing the games, however, after trying for 30 minutes to "sign into" Google, and becoming extremely frustrated, I will choose not to sign in. These games are not just awesomely fun to play, but also a form of relaxation. It was so easy before, and now, just frustrating. Thanks for all the games in the past, but I will have to pass on signing in.

    ReplyDelete
  51. It took 2 seconds to log in.

    ReplyDelete
  52. @myrdlebp, I'm sure SD is getting paid by all websites hosting his games. I guess it's a question of whether SD is willing to forego income from one site in specific.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I rarely log on here to comment but I am now.

I love SD games and I hope he continues to make them. If he makes them for this site and gets paid - good for him.

But I will not log in to another site to play them.

Escape games 24 is a great resource for that quick fix, 5 minute game and we all know that sometimes the ads we have to endure last longer than the actual game. But we endure them so we can play the games.

We, the people that either rarely or never comment on games are the majority not the minority and if we vote down these games it is because we don't want to log in to another site to play. There is no good reason as to why we are required to.

To SD - keep making your games, we love you and get that money hunny. We just don't like this site that wants our information.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Jorge, good for you that it took you 2 seconds....as I stated earlier, some of us are computer illiterate. Apparently, you are not. Happy for you. You are also probably one of those people that claim, "I'm out," and then leave without giving anyone else a little helping hand. I won't be missing your comments either.

  55. My 3 cents, as briefly as possible:

Cent 1: Asking "why" is not whining.
Cent 2: Refusing to do something (ANYTHING!) without a valid answer to the question "why" is not unreasonable.
Cent 3: Treating people who do 1 and 2 as if they are unreasonable and whining is not just rude, but it makes you seem either ignorant or purposefully deceptive.

  56. I hope Flonga doesn't do this to SD

I hope Melting Mindz doesn't also...that would be destruction.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Will someone tell me where to use the wrench once we've found them? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'm not logging in. I get way too much spam already.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Hazel look at the drawer under the first red machine. I swear I clicked there a million times but it opened. Then you can use your wrench.

  61. All this falderal over "logging in"...I just may have been rendered speechless...we have been logging in to GotMail's site for years... the below "cut & paste" from "Commenting Rules", as outlined by this site's creator states:

"And please read these before posting your comments:

    - Please share your hints, tips, walkthroughs and comments to help other gamers.

    - Please write your comments only in English to let others understand you.

    - Please don't turn Caps Lock key on your keyboard. We don't allow capitalised comments.

    - Please don't spam on comments page by posting your links. And please don't post links for other game sites.

    - Please only submit and suggest games or video walkthroughs by using Submit a Game link, instead of posting them on comments page.

    - Please don't share your private informations and email address on comments page.

    - Please don't write personal problems, site problems, site suggestions on comments page. Just let us know about them by using contact form. Comments page is only for talking and helping about games and for this reason we shouldn't break other visitors' gaming fun with personal comments.

    - Please don't try to contact to site admins on comments page. Just use Contact link to contact us.

    - Please don't write "First", "Second", "Third", "I am First" and any same comments on comments page. Watch this First! video :)

    - Please don't fight with other users on comments page to not disturb other players and visitors.

    - Please understand us, if we delete any wrong or unwanted comment. You can contact us about why your comment deleted. Don't ask on comments page about it.

    - Please don't forget that comments page is only for talking about the game, for helping others, and having fun about the game.

    - Please don't share and write comments for another game. Just use its page to post your comments for this game."

This truly is the place where those of us who love to play these games can have fun, be creative with our walkthroughs, and help anyone, who is stuck in a certain place, escape by giving hints and, in some cases, give the answer when the frustration level exceeds the original purpose of the game. As one of the "old" players, I have always enjoyed the interaction between players and individual senses of humor. I do not want to "log in" to post a comment about a game and instead, read a barrage of complaints. This does not mean you have to go along with something that concerns you, but please, contact an administrator: Yalcin Megi, Jon....all will help.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I agree Joe M, those are the best escape game creators and well-worth following.
