The statue is a different one on close-up - how weird.
ReplyDeletePut candles on the stag's horns. I'm assuming we need more than the two I've found.
ReplyDeletegot 3 candles, lit match, necklace?, gem and # clue. What next? Tricky candle in bottom of curved steps
ReplyDeleteGot three so far.
ReplyDeleteAnd an empty matchbox.
One candle bottom in stairs.
ReplyDeleteMake that 4 candles.
ReplyDeleteAnother view going left from first scene rather than going right twice.
ReplyDelete2 bracelets for statue.
ReplyDeleteAusten, the matchbox won't be empty if you click on it enough!
ReplyDeletecandle ceiling (room orange window)
ReplyDeleteThat's not a necklace!
ReplyDeleteJust tried to put it on the statue.
It's a bracelet.
Lighting four candles put on the stag's horns gives a tiara.
ReplyDeleteThe bracelet and the tiara go on the angel (?) statue in the its second, very dark, view.
ReplyDeleteWould if I could find the match.
ReplyDeleteAlpha, would you care to share, with the class, what s/ware you are using to hi-lite the hidden hotspots because I'm sure we ALL would appreciate it......... LOL
ReplyDeleteThere's something twinkling on the shoulder of the left-hand guard in the room with the big orange window, but I can't get it.
ReplyDeleteAusten, I just clicked somewhere on the matchbox and the box opened and a match came out and lit itself.
ReplyDeleteTwo bracelets.
ReplyDeleteThanks Clodagh.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the blue thing that comes up in the bottom left of the inventory, and what's the arrow thing that comes up on the right?
ReplyDeleteNo special SW here, just a resilient click finger...! ;)
ReplyDeleteout after 8 27
ReplyDeleteOoh, where was the other bracelet Austen?
ReplyDeleteOh I see - the shiny thing on the guard's shoulder is the bracelet. I just wasn't clicking in the right place to move the spear and nab it!
ReplyDeleteScene with big orange window.
ReplyDeleteStatue with spear rear left.
Click spear.
Thanks Austen - got it.
ReplyDeleteOh, oh, was gem from mummy skull pic meant for statue? If not, restarting time...
ReplyDeleteone red candle in bottom curved step, second yellow one in vase after breaking with hammer, third blue one in ceiling beam room on right. Where is #4?
ReplyDeleteI've just lost the gem too. Not enjoying this game.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure but I think it was between the flames left of statue.
ReplyDeleteGem goes in animal eye on right wall next to statue.
ReplyDeleteIt hasn't disappeared!
There was a purple cloth or similar...
ReplyDeleteClodagh, did your gem go into eye of lion on right of angel statue? mine did and changed eye color to blue, from red.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I don't know - I foolishly restarted! I'll try to get it right this time...
ReplyDeleteThere is likely to be one for the right lion as well.
ReplyDeleteSomewhere!
Rats! So didn't have to restart...
ReplyDeleteDo you know, now that I've restarted I can't find the fourth candle either - and I had it the first time round. Grrrr.
ReplyDeleteAha! 4th candle in box of left statue behind big female statue.
ReplyDeleteBayars have you found the fourth candle yet?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fourth candle AO - I should have remembered that ugly face from the first time round.
ReplyDeleteJust did thanks to hint from AO
ReplyDeleteWhat next folks?
ReplyDeleteAny thoughts about the purple cloth, the arrow, the two books and the paper clue?
ReplyDeleteOr the moon and stars window?
ReplyDeletegave bracelets and tiara to angel and nothing, what am I missing?
ReplyDeleteNothing yet Bayers, it seems.
ReplyDeleteWalkthrough says i should have get a gem after using towel on the mirror. Did not get it....... Can't finish i think. Not restarting....
ReplyDeleteAha! Use cloth at mirror of statue right of moon/stars window.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're missing the same as us Bayars!
ReplyDeleteThen light red thingy.
ReplyDeleteSet fire at 2 bowls for chest.
ReplyDeleteWhat about those two bowls in the orange window scene? I've tried chucking everything in the inventory into them, to no avail. I've also tried wiping the face of one of those cat shields with the purple cloth, and then stabbing it with the arrow. No change. Except in my heart.
ReplyDeleteAnd the "arrow" becomes a torch to light the bowls in the next scene right.
ReplyDeleteBtw: cloth is used NON-zoomed.
ReplyDeleteHooray AO! Use the cloth in zoomed-out view.
ReplyDeleteLucky me (what sheer desperation causes LOL) - 2 books from under moon/star window in fire for other gem.
ReplyDeleteAnd you can give the statue the torch.
ReplyDeleteNow we just have to figure out the box code from the clue paper.
ReplyDeleteThey made a mistake - on chest is a VI (not IV like on paper)...!
ReplyDeleteIt must be to do with the number of times we twizzle the dials on the box. First one is the number of cats, then the steps, then the guards and then the mirrors. Must be getting something wrong though, because that's not working for me.
ReplyDeleteHadn't noticed that AΩ!
ReplyDeleteALL stairs!
ReplyDeleteIs that 12 stairs the AO?
ReplyDeleteI mean 'then'.
ReplyDeleteGood riddance!
ReplyDelete:P
One less.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see the back of her as well AΩ.
ReplyDelete11 stairs
ReplyDeleteNow that was a forceps delivery LOL!
ReplyDeleteOut too - my sentiments exactly AO! Thanks for your persistence.
ReplyDeleteAnd Spectre reckons that they got out in under 9 minutes!
ReplyDeleteWith which walkthrough?
The only fun thing about this game was that we were all in it together!
ReplyDeleteYep, nice teamwork! :)
ReplyDelete@ Spectre, your a grade A **** WHO CARES IF YOU ARE OUT WHEN IT'S THE ONLY COMMENT YOU MADE.
ReplyDeleteGame froze when I opened the chest thanks to AO's hint. I think I'll give up on this one rather than restart.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is still around please spoil the code for the chest. I just can't seem to get it right?
ReplyDeleteI'll try to do this from memory. Spin dial #3 three times for the three soldiers, and dial #4 four times for the mirrors. I believe that dial #1 is 2 times for the cats. The go to dial #2 and keep turning - there are 10 or 11 stairs, and eventually the chest pops open.
ReplyDeleteI hope your game doesn't freeze like mine did!
Mac Carter
For anyone following it is 11 stairs.
ReplyDeleteSee comments between Clodagh at 12:40 and Bayars at 12:42.
Froz for me too
ReplyDeleteI liked this game better when it was called "Escape From The Flash Game That Hasn't Been Playtested."
ReplyDeleteGame froze for me too, and haha, ps238principal. :D
ReplyDeleteI just kept thinking... Don't blink.
ReplyDeleteFrozen..... Let it go~
ReplyDeleteI wish I had read through your (fun) comments before starting this stupid game. Froze on me too. By the way - follow Mac Carter's hint, but not in that sequence (look at the paper hint again)!
