  1. Those bushes grew back quickly!

  2. Hmmm. Got a crossbow but not sure what to do with it.
Bit of a maze this one. Make a note of the number on the bench.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Darn - gotta go. Leave plenty of clues!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Stuck with the crossbow and there's a bush that I can't dig up or cut up

    ReplyDelete
  5. go down when you get to that bush...scared the crud out of me!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I don't understand. I thought I opened the gate on the 1st day. Now it's locked and there's no where else to go but my room. ???

    ReplyDelete
  7. The crossbow is used on the headless knight (gives black key).

Cyndee, first key you get by putting out the fire.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Use water from jar from the day before on fire to get key to open gate. Use cross bow on headless horseman. I am stuck at the rabid rabbit LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Any idea on how to get rid of the rabbit

    ReplyDelete
  10. Is there an arrow needed for crossbow? I keep trying to use it on horseman but no luck.

    ReplyDelete
  11. when you get to he spider don't touch it. It wipes your energy.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Aim for the horseman's pumpkin head

    ReplyDelete
  13. no idea...but if you are missing a board its in the bedroom by the chair

    ReplyDelete
  14. Don't forget to take a piece of wood from behind the chair (in the first scene), you need 3 pieces to build a ladder.

    ReplyDelete
  15. ok... finally worked. Only took 10 mins to aim it! I'm no Katniss I guess!

    ReplyDelete
  16. grow purple carrots for bunny. How do you kill spider?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Use the purple carrot (from making the dry ground wet) on the rabbit to get a purple gem.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Thanks for the help Everyone. :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. if you keep moving around you have to go back and replenish your energy..

    ReplyDelete
  20. out finally. long one today but good fun!

    ReplyDelete
  21. kill spider with lit candle

    ReplyDelete
  22. Start chopping bushes - there's a board in one.

    ReplyDelete
  23. It was a long one indeed, but that was mainly because of the maze of rooms and the running back and forth to get things and energy to climb that wall.

    ReplyDelete
  24. where do you get water for the garden?

    ReplyDelete
  25. too much back and forth all the time, it is not worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  26. To get water:
Go from the garden, right, down, left, left.

    ReplyDelete
  27. are there 4 gems? if so i'm missing one

    ReplyDelete
  28. thanks small-tool. Totally missed that whole area!!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. 3 gems is enough, opens the gate to the castle in another scene.

    ReplyDelete
  30. aha I had to try to get into the castle and then go back to get some rest.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think going to the castle wil be tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I've got a purple and a blue gems... obviously, I miss one gem !

    ReplyDelete
  33. Which scene are you on and where are you trying to go Ericka?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think one gem from the rabbit, one from the spider and one from putting the book back in the bookcase in the house you started in (but not sure anymore).

    ReplyDelete
  35. Thanks Austen64, I placed 3 gems banished a rabbit now I'm going around in circles

    ReplyDelete
  36. I didn't realize it was my bedtime :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Where is the color code?

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm way back I think, where's garden? Plus I only have board from bedroom and board from bush.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Found colors, forgot about flowers...

    ReplyDelete
  40. I thought since it was getting dark that I was near the end, but from comments above I have lots to do before I can sleep. Still stuck with a rabid rabbit.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Do we do anything with the strange bush? i've tried to cut it, water it and burn it but nothing happens. Maybe it's just strange.

    ReplyDelete
  42. resting and ready for tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  43. Sorry all had to leave for a while.
    Anyone still stuck?

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm still stuck with two boards and a rabbit - can't find third board or garden referenced above.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Garden refernced above is reached by the ladder you're collecting the boards for.
There is one behind the left chair in the sleeping hut where you started.
Make sure you eat some cheese while you're there.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Me2 - did you get the one in the crypt where the bed is?

    ReplyDelete
  47. One was from behind a square bush which you cut with the sword.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I have the one from the bedroom and one from a bush.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Re-running to find the third.Bloody adverts!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Got it!
It's behind the tree once you're through the wooden gate.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Aaargh, of course it is. Thank you Austen64!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. @small-tool,

Thank you ! I simply forgot the spider ! I've used the lit candle on it.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Let me know if you need anything else or get out.

I'll update every couple of minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  54. That was a lot of fun - thanks Sd! I got lost a few times, but got there in the end after eating way too much cheese!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Made it, thanks for your help. Great game!

    ReplyDelete
  56. And another one tomorrow.

Should be fun in the castle.

    ReplyDelete
  57. You know what? In a similar situation I think I might put the blessed cheese in my ruck sack...

I thnk the book was ina locked chest.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Thanks, smarties, found it in chest behind a bush.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I cannot find the crossbow, please where is it?

    ReplyDelete
  60. How to light the candle?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Crossbow I think was in chest using numbers from bench.
Light the candle on the flaming skulls at an early scene.

    ReplyDelete
  62. For lighting the candle use the flaming skull outside your sleeping quarters.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Somehow the fire got relit in the bedroom.
I think tomorrow is going to be "escape from the bathroom" after eating all that cheese!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Thanks Smarties and Austen 64!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Going up and down to get some cheese is not fun at all!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. I'm am so dense, maybe I should drinking coffee when I do these. Please, can someone tell me where this mythical spider is? Also I see the floral arch but don't know what to do with it. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  67. @Mopface: Maybe you have missed moving down/south in one of the scenes (as I did for a while). This takes you to the arrows clue, the fountain / bird bath and (leftmost scene) the spider.

    ReplyDelete
  68. It's so stupid, but I don't know where to put the gems. Have all of them and can't do anything.

    ReplyDelete
  69. gems go on skull shield

    ReplyDelete
  70. pop. Power of posting. Thanks anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  71. That's it, I am not playing any more SD games because he is just plumping up his games, following a common pattern, making us run here and there unnecessarily. It is no longer fun. Up and down a ladder, back and forth to crypt to eat cheese... I want a game to relax, not get repetitive strain syndrome from clicking back and forth. SD I am sorry, you used to be a good game maker but you are resting on your laurels and have nothing new to offer us. Goodbye.

    ReplyDelete
  72. That was it! Thanks Huw! I'm too full of cheese (swiss with extra holes) to think properly.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Sorry to say Tania, there are far more players now for my games then before. Sorry to see you go, it makes me sad. I have to do what comes from my heart and the games I make all do. I don't do things to be mean or nasty. If the game was all too easy and done in a straight line it would be way too boring. I'm sure most everyone else would agree. Thanks everyone else who likes my games. I know you are all out there!

    ReplyDelete
  74. SD, I don't have to tell you that you have TONS of Melting-Mindz fans! Including me! I thank you from the bottom of my heart! <3

    ReplyDelete
  75. Okay, I have two of the boards, now running in circles for the third.
Have the tree and chair boards, where's thr 3rd one?

    ReplyDelete
  76. The 'resting on (his) laurels' comment is unfathomable to me. We have seen so many new and ingenious ideas in the past few weeks and months. The going back and forth shenanigans is a bit fiendish, but it made me smile, if a little wearily once or twice! You'll be back, Tania, because games anywhere near as good as these are pretty rare.

    ReplyDelete
  77. @myrdlebp: Make sure you try to cut ALL of the rectangular hedges with your sword.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Thanks HUW! I think I found it while you were typing! lol

    ReplyDelete
  79. I am stuck with 1 board from behind chair. I've chopped down 2 bushes from just outside house and 2 from the garden to the right of the house and there wasn't a board. I can only get into 3 areas; the house, the garden down from the house and the garden to the right of the house (with the gate). Can't find a key for the gate or another board. Please help.

    ReplyDelete
  80. @jazzypix: Have you put out the fire?!

    ReplyDelete
  81. POP! Put the fire out. durr!!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Thanks for helping, Huw, but I just got that before I saw your message. :) appreciated though

    ReplyDelete
  83. jazzy, don't ya just hate rough starts!? lol I hate when that happens.

    ReplyDelete
  84. OH!!!!! :D What SNEAKY BOOK! LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  85. I love SD adventures and this is a really good one, but I'm frustrated with the maze-like navigation with no map and having to find my way back to the cheese to climb the ladder lol. No more cheese!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Strange - first time I couldn't play an SD game using EG24 link. Also couldn't play on Meltingmindz - had to go to Yizzim. Even stranger, I played part 1 the other day from EG24 with no problem but couldn't re-play it today from EG24 either. Oh well, SD your games are worth "searching for" !!

    ReplyDelete
  87. I have the same problem. No game at the link. Just a blank page with a flash symbol. SO , off to find the game.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Went to MM and clicked the link and took me to the same blank page.

    ReplyDelete
  89. And there it is on Yizzim. Strange indeed. SOme might say ... SPOOKY lol

    ReplyDelete
  90. LMAO, just found the headless horseman. And that trollop Tania said there was nothing new. I admit these were getting repetitive but that never stopped me from enjoying them. Her loss

    ReplyDelete
  91. where is the game? i see 21 adverts no self defiant game anywhere???????

    ReplyDelete
  92. and when the big vidoeo ad, where i think the game will be finishes, there is nothing there, no game, not even a screen anymore....

    ReplyDelete
  93. I fixed it, sorry there was an error when trying to fix things.

  95. OOPS SD already took care of it. Heck of a long game this time. lots of remembering. Good stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  96. And yup. Thanks for ficing it SD just tried it again and it definitely goes to the game now.

    ReplyDelete
  97. i can play now :) very happy i am indeed :) tx selfdefiant

    ReplyDelete
  98. Is anyone still here? Had to leave abruptly last night. What do I do with the book? Think it should go into the bookcase but when I click on it, it just opens. I can't put it on the bookcase

    ReplyDelete
  99. If you come back Jazzypix:

When you close the book it should stay as your "use" item.
Just click the gap in the shelf and it will go in.

    ReplyDelete
  100. For anyone still stuck here’s a full walkthrough:

    Eat lots of cheese.
Move left chair for board 1.
Extinguish the fire with yesterday’s water bottle for a key.

Down 1 and light candle from skull (either one will do).

    Right 1 and use key.

Up 1, right 1 and chop left square bush for board 2.

Left 2 and note number on bench.

Left 2, cut vines with sword and pull lever.

Right 5 (no need to light torches today), up 1 and take board 3 from behind tree.

Right 1, down 2, left 1 and enter number code in box (code = number of points) for crossbow.

Right 1, up 2, left 1, down 1, left 5, down 1 (catch breath after that marathon!), shoot horseman in the head (pumpkin) with crossbow for key.

Up 1, right 1 and open gate with new key.

Up 1 and dig in soil patch with shovel.

Left 1, up 1, right 1 and place your three boards on the broken ladder. You DID eat that cheese didn’t you?

Up 1, right 1 and note long colour sequence from flowers.

Right 3, down 1, left 1, note marks on stones.

Left 1 and fill bottle at birdbath.

Left 1, scare spider with candle flame and enter colour code for green gem.

Right 3, up 1, right 1, chop bush with sword and enter code from stones in chest for book.

Left 2, pour water on soil patch, pull bottom middle leaves and take purple carrot.

Left 3, down 1, left 1, down 1, right 1, feed carrot to psycho rabbit for purple gem.

Down 1, right 2, down 1, left 1, up 1, select book (don’t open it) and place it in the bookshelf for blue gem.

    FILL UP ON CHEESE!

Down 1, right 1, up 1 and place gems on shield.

Left 2, up 1, left 1, up 1, right 1, up 1, right 2 and click castle door.

Left 2, down 1, left 1, down 1, right 1, down 1, right 2, down 1, left 1, up 1, hit the sack and wait for SD to post the next episode.

If you don’t like all the travelling around then think about whether you would really prefer a monumental click-fest searching for microscopic hotspots with a cursor which doesn’t change.

Keep up the great work SD, you have the support of a lot of regulars here who really enjoy your productions.

  101. Great WT Austen64.
