ReplyDeleteFunny, gave three coins to ferryman and game didn't end. Maybe because I had already "crossed" in scene with chest? Took me to locked castle gate and crypt with skulls on fire...

key to bedroom is under one of the bushes - use sword to cut it down

ReplyDeletefinally key worked. I tried it on both doors several times then went all the way back to the beach and reread the letter and then key worked on small house. ANNOYING!

ReplyDeleteOK, Monday morning brain fart here. I can't figure out how to start a fire in the skull cottage. Cannot chip off any wood pieces with my sword. Don't have the lighter, I even tried setting my ladder on fire with one of the charmingly inviting skull lanterns....I'm DOOMED, I tell ya, DOOMED!

Oh, were people marking down because they couldn't work out what to do? I only rated games I completed, or it isn't fair.
ReplyDeleteI buy BFG and some reviewers give a low mark for Level of Challenge, even thought they've said they had to use hints all the way through - I could never understand the logic in that.
According to Escaper it was the developers who were abusing the rating system.

It was a sketchy system anyhow.
Everybody has different standards and used it differently.
Better off without it I think.

ReplyDeleteNo bugs for me I think (except the spider). Took me a while to find the black key as it was in a dark patch. (Cut down bush to right of door with flaming skulls)

ReplyDeleteEscaper said that the developers were able to vote many times here by clearing their cache/reloading the page, and also by changing their IP with software of some sort or through proxy servers.
Thanks, bill. I should have been more specific. Multiple votes were not possible just by repeatedly clicking. Obviously, with IP-spoofing and other technical skullduggery, cheating was possible.
