well, got a crowbar and SD, lots of bewildering clues! Looks like a good game, might need some translation though...
ReplyDeletethought those books could be a clue for the large cabinet, but no...
ReplyDeletethere is a switch in the flipchart...
ReplyDeleteClicked twice on the red symbol under the AC and now the temp is 27...
ReplyDeleteyes you can even set it down to 14 °C (brrrr)
ReplyDeleteon further examination, the red settings make the temp 23, 27, 31, and the blue make 18, 14, 11 (middle is 20). Not quite making sense out of it, and I don't know yet what will change the percentage reading.
ReplyDeleteYEAH! books ARE the clue for the cabinet, but the combination only worked upside down (hell knows why)
ReplyDeletegot a small ladder and unscrewed duct...but NOW...things are getting tough. four colors in each frame, and we will only need one each for the drawer with the 6-color lock...
ReplyDeleteohh the flipchart! of course
ReplyDeleteThx arby! Don't know why either...
ReplyDeleteNow got a color code I think
Yes the eye-chart works - and right-side up too! (sort of)
ReplyDeleteand I got a pair of scissors :P
ReplyDeleteno, used the chart from start to end, no twisting...
ReplyDeleteclue in AC now (look up)
ReplyDeleteIt's for the Go boards - I'm stumped at the moment
ReplyDeletelol that clue was always there from the beginning ;)
ReplyDeleteomg seems we have to know reversi to advance now...
Oh! Go up ladder and keep going!
ReplyDelete?
ReplyDeleteThis will lead to a bird's eye view into another room, none the wiser...
okay I'm writing down the positions of the various symbols on the (now) 3 different go boards - maybe it will lead to something
ReplyDeleteTable: strong x middle + middle x weak
ReplyDeleteIf for temperature then 11*20+20*31 = 840, but what for?
It makes no pattern that I recognize - I can't hook the key in the next room w/ my crowbar, but maybe w/ an additional tool...?
ReplyDelete"crowbar" has an eye...maybe we need a string to pull through
ReplyDeleteOr 14*20 + 20*27 = 820 (with switch marks at words)
ReplyDeleteThe crowbar is a stick (with hook?)
ReplyDeletethanks for translation Tautau - hope that doesn't mean strong & weak positions on the go boards
ReplyDeleteside-note, the greenish thing is a humidifier
ReplyDeleteBut I'm pretty sure we will need some water first to fill into
Each chess board contain two symbol (black & white), is it for the letter puzzle?
ReplyDeleteFound it! Get a strip of cloth from bed w/ scissors
ReplyDeletein glass cb now - another color clue, and a 4-dig code box
ReplyDeleteI was right!!
ReplyDeleteHumidifier needs mineral water. It's inside the drawer with the letters lock.
Cracked it meanwhile...

I think the grgb clue in cb means LRLM (acc. colors entered on drawer)
ReplyDeleteNo, scratch that, it has to be numbers for the little box
ReplyDeletebut there are no red books...?
ReplyDelete@arby, how'd you get that?
ReplyDelete@just1 by hacking... ;)
ReplyDeletetried number of colored bars up ladder - no workie
ReplyDeletefor if the letters have something to do with the board games (I'm almost certain they do), we might take ages to solve them
ReplyDeleteNo, scratch that, it has to be numbers for the little box
ReplyDeleteHmmm not too sure...remember the formula that tautau translated for us..."weak" "strong" etc. might stand for humidity and/or temperature values
Yes, 2 symbols on each board...can't tell how they make letters, but the order is probably: board in next rm, left board, right board
ReplyDeleteHumidity: off=40, weak=47, middle=56, strong=61
ReplyDeleteBut 47*56+56*61=6048 not working
Now I knw why I didn't see symbols at first - they don't show w/ switch in middle position
ReplyDeleteokay I can see the 'P', but still not getting the other 2. Goofed up above btw; order is next rm., right board, left board

ReplyDelete@just1 you're right. first step I took was trying to get the room a little cozier :) so I cranked up the radiator at first, so I saw the symbols. In "normal" setting there is nothing...
ReplyDelete@just1, how can you see a P?
ReplyDelete@tautau it may be coincidence, but the 1st symbol on board in next room makes a box, 6x6; the 2nd makes a line down the left side. Put them together and it's kind of a 'P'. Doesn't work for the other letters though
ReplyDeletesounds a little far-fetched to me TBH ;-)
ReplyDeletelol, it's definitely farfetched! And I'm definitely at a loss w/o your hacking - still trying to figure out the why & wherefores though
ReplyDeleteAt 23 degrees C, and 61 percent humidity, shouldn't it be raining?
ReplyDeleteThe board game is reversi. If placing the black and white chess as in indicated position then it will reveal the letter in white. Finally the 3-letter code is understood.
ReplyDeleteWell it's time to sleep - no new clues after entering those codes. I'm hoping someone comes along who understands this, and I'll read about it tomorrow
ReplyDeleteahhh, thanks tautau, I see it! arby mentioned reversi but I kept thinking about go. Clever clue!
ReplyDeleteStill have no notion about the numbers though :(
lol, I noticed it has a 1-star rating - I just gave it 4 - why rate a game low just because you have trouble solving it? This game took a lot of work to make, and I think it's quite good, but not fantastic. If this is #3 there shoud be better ones coming!
ReplyDeleteGood work tautau! Well I was sure from the beginning that the letter code will require deeper understanding of reversi (which I don't have) - hence (and only hence!) I chose to hack it
ReplyDeleteWithout looking at a walkthrough, I surely will not understand the 4-digit code.
ReplyDeleteGreen = humidifier, strong=61, middle=56, weak=47
Blue = cold room of a/c, strong=11, middle=14, weak=18
Red = warm room of a/c, strong=31, middle=27, weak=23
From box: green red green blue
From bed: strong x middle + middle x weak
So, code = green(strong) x red(middle) + green(middle) x blue (weak) = 61*27 + 56*18 = 2655
thanks once more!!!
ReplyDeleteOf course, the colors were for the "heat/coldness level".
Very, very sneaky!
And I was soooo close (just not close enough).
For the others:
Red = warm room of a/c, strong=31, middle=27, weak=23
This is another freaky thing. The 23 and 31 you will get by using the dial's positions in BETWEEN! (e. g. "northeast")

ReplyDeleteIt is impossible to open a case according to books (((
ReplyDelete@Nafanja, it is possible! The blue books are all leaning; the directional arrows on the lg. cb match their angles. Numbers on the books give you the order. The trouble is, you look at where the number is, then use the other end of the book (or just enter the opposites), for some reason we never understood.
ReplyDeleteThat'll be the better alternative.
ReplyDeleteNafanja, do use the directions of numbers, and think everything to be rotated by 180 degrees (ie upside-down).
Or hang down yourself on a horizontal bar, with your head pointing to the ground, inputting everything ;-)
Something else must have to happen before the cupboard can be opened. I've tried the order of the books about 50 times, with different variations, and it still won't open!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I had to watch the video walkthrough. I was factoring in left vs. right books somehow. Don't pay attention to that--just the angle and then you're fine. You don't need to look at it upside down (that confused me), use just1's advice and use end of book w/o the number.
