seb is mostly right in his comments. I am sure that the vast majority of readers of the comments for the games are reading them to ask for and/or to share nudges, hints and outright spoilers.
Everybody knows this and should look at the comments knowing that they can be "spoiled" at any time.
At the very least, comments like sebs, and other regular players / contributors, are usually logical and make sense in order for other players to advance in their games. A lot of commenters offer up hints and spoilers that make no sense at all and thats even worse.
I've seen the hint for the dials, but it doesn't make sense for me.

ReplyDeleteI came here looking for a hint for the dials above the bed, but all I found was 'coloured rings' (got that already), 'not difficult to understand' (got that too) and 'difficult to explain' (guess what?!). Oh, and some rants. I've tried turning the dials so that the arrows match the colours, but that doesn't work. Also confused that some of the rings point in the same direction. Has anyone else got a hint for me please?
ReplyDeleteAh, got it. Shall I just leave it there? No, better not! I wasn't seeing that the colours on the dials over the bed were yellow and green, not orange and yellow. When I understood that, it made sense. The arrows DO point to where the colours of the rings next to the frog are positioned. Don't confuse the yellows and greens!
ReplyDeletelol...seb 'faded' the game's 'beauty'? I don't think so. Most of us who know how the comments are called the 'walkthrough' page know to not thoroughly read the comments unless we're looking for a hint. I often wait until I need a hint then refer back here (and the 'find' function on your browser is a great tool for finding specific things.)

Now, having defended a helpful commenter, I would like to note that I was looking at which directions the rings were facing and not getting it...then I realized it's much simpler and the colors only correspond to the placement of the rings.
