ReplyDeleteYep, pretty quick one - out in 645 seconds
ReplyDeleteblue gem from 4# box same room left
ReplyDeleteI'm good without a map. But then again i did grocery shopping today in 10 minutes, so i probably am really good at finding my way.
ReplyDeleteWell one image contains a code, it was somewhere on the left side in a room (pic with 4 names, alpha order) so order the numbers alphabetically for a 4 # box.
ReplyDeleteThanks Zazie.
ReplyDeletethe picture down last right room, says nomis
ReplyDeletegolden key from lightning the jar top ahead room on the right
ReplyDeleteLove the car!
ReplyDeleteHmm why we collected the orbs ? I even don´t know at the end how many i had.
ReplyDeleteI still need the blue key, and only have matches left. I suspect there is a sneaky candle somewhere. Or a really obvious one.
ReplyDeleteI also had the matches left, used them twice i think, on firplace and jar....but they stayed here until the end.
ReplyDeleteanyone remembers where to find a hammer or something similar? I'm only missing the red gem (probably from crack in wall)
ReplyDeleteOr additionally on a candle, can´t remember.
ReplyDeletehaving difficulty in clicking the dots of the circle puzzle in the golden room
ReplyDeleteI made a drawing of the circle while looking at the hint outside on wall.
ReplyDeleteMatches used 3x - jar candle upstairs, candle in gem room downstairs and fireplace. The hammer is on the junk table behind the gold key door, I think.
ReplyDelete@Dazz ley: if the very top is #1, count clockwise and click #3, #7, #10 and so on...
ReplyDeleteThanks again, Zazie. Theres also the candle on the table where you put the gems. So 3 times Still don't have a blue key. I'm walking in potatocircles here.

ReplyDeleteIf you click on the orb collector it shows how many you have, mine was 35
ReplyDeleteOMG the hammer, i played twice now and hammer was in my inventory, i never saw where it came from. Probably from the table with the old collected stuff.

ReplyDeleteHint for the yellow gem?
ReplyDelete765 seconds and out. The game is small enough that a map isn't really needed. I *think* the hammer was in "Darby's collection of things." From the start point it was kinda up then the last room on the left, sorry I can't be more precise without replaying.
ReplyDeletePOP--I still had the word box to open. Thanks Zazie and Dazz for the word box hint!
ReplyDeleteI can't find the matches - I've clicked everywhere in the book room . . .

Found it in room with the 4 number clue in drawer by bed
ReplyDeleteOoops, thanks Alpha, I didnt refresh before posting
ReplyDeleteOut 1424 seconds (Would have been quicker but game has no pause and I had something quick to do lol). 35 orbs
ReplyDeleteyw & no prob - pop's always the best :-)
ReplyDeleteWell hello Selfdefiant! Been awhile. Looking forward to playing!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to just sit back in that chair with the fire....And listen to the music all night. Well done, Selfdefiant! Nice game. No use for the orbs. Thank you! A really big thank you!
ReplyDeleteoh really, i'm in a house with tons of antiques and all i collect is orbs... and mr. darby obviously collected wives :o) nice game SD!
ReplyDeleteGood game. Thanks, SD!
ReplyDeleteHammer location was "sneaky!"
I liked the "collecting of orbs for no reason" other than it's a questing procedure that helps to keep one's eyes and the old grey matter tuned up.
There is something comforting is the procedure and I also like the fact that in some games they are easy to find and in others one has to really search them out.
This game was a very nice, and needed, break from the flurry of other "Fisher Price" colored, simpler, episodic games of late from SD and associates that seem to be produced to appeal more to younger, less skilled escape game players.
I'm sure that the cash flow is better or it wouldn't be happening. No problem with game developers making a living, but they might want to consider remembering what got them to the dance in the first place.
If I, and others, knew the "mechanics" of escape game making, I know there are a lot of us "regulars" that could put out some really good escape games.
In most escape style games I have played over the years, I have moments of "why isn't this being used for a puzzle, a clue," etc.
The newer games developed by SD, and his newer associates, do "fill in the gaps" somewhat, but after years of SD games set within old, abandoned, run down factories, beautiful estates and villas, castles, beach resorts and especially the dark, moody and menacing Asylums style games, I know that we all really hunger for more of that genre.
Don't get me wrong, I am a looooong time fan of SD, so long in fact that I, as I know there are a lot of others too, remember the first SD escape games way back in the days before orbs, gold coins, maps, "rooms" being numbered or lettered for easier comments posting for POP, and I DO very much appreciate all that he does for us escape game addicts.
Just wishing for a little more of something that we all love so much as evidenced by the amount of participation / comments in the older style of games vs. the newer style on an individual basis.
Sorry for the rant, just feeling it today.
Thanks again SD!
looking for blue key.
ReplyDeleteplaced all the gems and got a key. Still need blue key
ReplyDeleteLoved this one SD! Challenging but I stuck with it and made it through on my own for once. Would have preferred a map tho, but it wasn't too complicated. Thanks SD!
ReplyDeleteHOLY cow. IN the scene with the clock, is the organ with the music. I bought an organ from someone last year for 50$ that looks almost exactly like that except for being in better shape. INSANE. I had never seen one before which was the reason i bought it.
ReplyDeleteThe blue key is in the room with the sheet music behind the panel on the clock you need the screwdriver for.
ReplyDeleteVery good comment Bumjelly. I believe that sums it up for many of us. Therehas been a lot of negativity towards SD lately as we see his work sliding into crap. We tend to take it out harshly but it is from frustration and from comments from him that basically sound like big FUs . Perhaps maybe he will listen and make some of his fantastic long play super hard games that take all of us a week to finish with 600 comments. If you are reading this SD we MISS those. I know you are being bombarded with crossing ideas and demands, so , I will apologize now for the way I have been to you. God luck with the business and glad to see you are now making what you have worked hard to achieve. Just don't forget us. We helped you get here and we really miss the beautiful games you used to make.
ReplyDeleteI would love to go back and play some of those oldie but goodie games from SD's past. If only knew where to find them. Any suggestions?
