  8. One note to the developer: if you make a game where elimination of items from a pool if info is the main activity, maybe you should make an interface that makes it possible, so the players wont have to do it by hand, on a scrap of paper. Makes it a lot easier.

There's a rather old but classic game called Sherlock, available for free download all around the internet. That game is very, very similar to this one - but with a user-friendly interface. That game, IMHO, is a nice example of how these games' interface should be structured and what actions should be made possible.

  10. Actually you can do this one without guessing at all, there's two ways of using at the clues. One is looking at where things can go, the other is looking at where things CAN'T go... it's a lot like a Sudoko puzzle in that regard. Hint: The first category you fully complete is trees, followed by pets, then it's easy from there.

  11. Here's a walkthrough, I've listed the clues in order of use.

There are two houses between the turtles and the person eating spaghetties, he is on the left

Turtles in house 4, spaghetties in house 1

There is one house between the nut trees and the turtles

    Nut Trees House 2

There is one house between the willows and the nut trees. The nut trees are on the left.

    Willows House 4

The Palm trees grow to the left of the birds

There are two open slots for trees, house 1 and house 3. We can't use house 3 since the turtles are in house 4, so palm trees must be house 1. Only house 3 now has no tree so it must be the Oaks.

The person with Oaks drinks Ice Tea.

    House 3 drinks Ice Tea.

The Birds live Directly to the right of the person eating pankcakes.

Houses 2, 3, and 4 have no food, so which is it. It can't be house 2 since house 1 eats spaghetties. House 4 already has a pet, so the birds must be in house 3 and pancakes are eaten in house 2.

The palm trees grow directly next to the person drinking beer.

Palm trees are house 1 so beer must be house 2.

The mice live to the right of the fish.

Only two pets left so fish in house 1, mice in house 2.

The person eating ice cream lives Directly next to the person drinking Tea.

There are only two houses left that could eat ice cream and only one of them has no drink, so house 4 drinks tea and house 3 eats ice cream.

Now there are only two slots left, according to the rules no two houses have the same thing so house 4 eats potatoes and house 1 drinks wine.
