Hi everyone,
ReplyDeleteIts Mousecity (sponsor) here. I understand that most of you want longer games. I do too. But given the problematic monetization model with flash games it isnt all that easy.
We have however planned to release games that are significantly longer twice a month and I think first will go out very soon so please stay tuned.
Im always open for inputs on how games can be improved and try to read the comments here as well. You can email me if any questions: kristoffer.mousecity(@)gmail.com
Take care!,
- Kristoffer
I prefer to play short, good games than long terrible ones. Thank you Mousecity.
ReplyDeleteCarpet clue is used twice.
Combine letter clue from book in first room with # on coloured books for piano.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was missing. Out now.
ReplyDeletePotion on flower. Feeeed meeeeee !
ReplyDeleteAgain, combine clue on desk with the letter clue in the first room for the cb.
ReplyDeleteOut, really nice little game. I liked the double used clues. And the spider was not scary at all !
ReplyDeleteNice game - thanks
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info Kristoffer, it's much appreciated. I would second Emmes - quality is more important than quantity. Of course, quantity and quality together are the ideal.
ReplyDelete@ Kristoffer : whatever the game is,short or long,as long its coming from you it is very welcome !!
ReplyDeletewhat to do with the little spider?
ReplyDeleteI find your games enjoyable. I appreciate that you don't overwhelm us with popup ads. I can always rely on your game to be virtually bug free AND interesting.
ReplyDeleteTodd Val after your put the potion on the plant feed the spider to it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us know, Kristoffer. Personally, I don't care as much about the length as I do about the quality of the puzzles - that they make me think, rather than just click around. Heaven knows, SD keeps coming up with ways to stump me, LOL.
ReplyDeleteThis was a good game, thank you. Very nice combo of clues.
ReplyDeleteQuality over quantity. Super long games are frustrating, and too short/easy--under 3 minutes-- are frustrating b/c it feels like a waste. BUUUUTTT . . . having that variation, some long some short, and most medium, can encompass everyone's preference. Overall though, it's definitely QUALITY that counts most in my book.
ReplyDeleteThank you for ALL your great games ♥
I wonder if Selfdefiant is going to continue with his "orbs" and "gold coin" and maps games? I still like those very much and would miss them very much if they were gone.
ReplyDeleteThese MouseCity games are wonderful too, so that is not a complaint - just curious.
As above
ReplyDeleteI agree
Quality over length
Very nice game! Long enough to be a challenge, but quick to finish. I am thrilled to be playing Selfdefiant games again!
ReplyDeleteI have always appreciated EG24 and Mousecity, and the fact that us escapers have the ear of the developers means a promising future for Escape Games in general.
ReplyDeleteBut I don't think we should be so critical of developers when games become a bit stagnant, bugged, or are sub par. I myself am guilty of doing that, (123bee/bug, Ninja Motion ugh) but I think it's better if we all expressed our displeasure with constructive criticism rather than insults.
ReplyDeleteI love Mouse City games. I think it's great to have a mix of long and short games. I love a long game I can sink my teeth into, but I also love coffee break games that can be solved quickly. Loved this one!

ReplyDeleteGreat game!
ReplyDeleteI could not open the yellow chest. can anyone help?
ReplyDeletecarpet used twice, OK :)
ReplyDeleteShoe works out to 18-7-14-4, but there are only 7 keys lettered on the piano ... so, how to use the 8 in "18"?
ReplyDeleteShoe clue is for cupboard, not piano.
ReplyDeleteThis game bore me. 2 stars
