  1. Well, the start of this one was pretty easy. Now I'm stuck with only a piece of paper (with a picture of a cross on it). Not sure what puzzle it goes with.

  2. enjoyable game...thank you avm.

the letter grid is a bit of a challenge...the letters correlate with numbers, ie a=1 b=2 and so on a through p.

the darker letters are fixed and cannot be changed. the easiest way to solve is to take the two double digits that have 2 fixed letters and subtract their values from the totals of each of the digits for the values that you need to come up with for the remaining boxes.

make a list of the numbers that can add up to the difference for each one.

there will be 3 numbers in common of the two lists and you know that the odd number has to go where you need an odd number sum...so place that odd number in appropriate column and the other 2 numbers will be placed in the remaining squares...that should give you enough of a nudge to finish it.

i made a run of the alphabet and their numbers and then crossed them off as i used them, if this is any help.

will post the solution if you like.

  3. @seraku, the paper goes with the door in same scene to the right.

  4. @cate, I'm apparently dense this morning. How does the cross map to the 2/3/4/5 numbers?

    ReplyDelete
  5. you're not dense, it's a bit confusing. :)

the top left is the "12" position...the top right is the "9" position...the bottom left is the "3" position and the bottom right is the "6" position.

  6. Cate, please post that letter grid solution. I am going nuts here trying to solve it.

  9. @cate, thanks! I was thinking about the cross clue as if it was an unfolded cube. Too many geometry puzzles and I miss the simple directional clue. (:

  10. you're welcome...i tend to overthink the avm puzzles too...i always seem to prepare for the worst. ;)

  11. Out with Cates help!

    Nice game!

  12. In case folks need the hint... the lighter you get is used on the left pillar with the circle and square holes. I was wandering around aimlessly trying to burn the entire world down before I remembered that puzzle existed. (:

  13. Well I'm totally struggling here. Maybe I should go sit in the corner?
I have 2 wads of cash, a heart (placed), a key (doesn't fit anything yet), a white button. 3-number code doesn't work on 3-number puzzle. Got the o-n-e clue but nowhere to use it yet. Two other puzzles I have no clue for yet.

    So h---e---l---p : )

  14. @Zuleika, there are several keyholes around this one. Try the one above the tree stump, I think that's where the first key goes.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hi Seraku: no it doesn't work there. It's the key with the red tab that comes from wall panel in scene 10

    ReplyDelete
  16. lol, zuleika...maybe you just need a cookie.

have you done the "connect the dots" puzzle in opening scene?

the o-n-e is used in the square with the yellow ball in the middle...go to the green dot and click the top button; go to red and click the red button; go to white and click the bottom button.

  18. cate, thank you for letter grid spoiler!!!

  19. Hi cate : ) Connect the dots? In scene 1 there are buttons on a red panel, also 4 sets of dots on a wooden door. In the red panel, there are 2 green dots, 2 white dots, 2 blue and 2 yellow - but no red.

    ReplyDelete
  20. @zuleika, click on a dot and drag to its match...continue with the other dots and make sure you use all of the squares.

    ReplyDelete
  21. start with the blue dots/buttons...i think they were a straight line.

    ReplyDelete
  22. and, once you open the door in first scene with the key you found in the scene to its right, a whole new world will open up for you. :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ah thank you cate : ) That worked. New key and into new scene. I'm so happy, lol

    ReplyDelete
  24. @zuleika...no doubt! lol...happy to help.

  25. you're welcome, hotz. ;)

  26. That letter grid was a little nuts. It would have been difficult enough if they had just been numbers in the grid, not letters.

  27. "666" no thanks. not playing devil games.
