Massive language barrier
ReplyDeleteLovely game. I was intimidated by the letter on the desk, but was able to escape without being able to read it. Deeper into the game, there appeared Japanese text that was essential to solving the game. I translated it with a 50-sounds chart, but because I had an idea of what it pertained to, I could also have used brute force.
ReplyDeleteLovely game. I was intimidated by the letter on the desk, but was able to escape without being able to read it. There was Japanese text farther in the game that was more critical to success, but I was able to translate it with a 50-sounds chart. By that time, however, I had an idea which puzzle it went to, and could also have succeeded by brute force.
ReplyDeleteyou need to know only these:
ReplyDeleteテレビ television
デスクライト desk light
ゲーム機 game machine
ギターアンプ guitar amplifier
Nice graphics and potential to be a great game, I found the text irritating popping up all the time, especially when I couldn't read it. Not going out of my way to find fault but I wish they could add English subtitles as although you can play without it, it would make it much more interesting. Good game
ReplyDeleteEraser note:

ReplyDeletethx ppl for the translation
ReplyDeletePerfection! Probably the best graphics I've seen by escape games, extremely beautiful and well-made, also the puzzles are interesting, everything's very "real-life" (not some usual nonsense that the current position of the clouds in the sky gives you clue for the safe). All in all corresponding to highest standards, no flaws whatsoever, worth at least 5.5 stars, when recent Riddle Escape's Escape from Ruins 2 got 5 stars.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame I don't read Japanese, thanks for the translation! I think the ultra-low rating is only because of the language barrier, that's not fair, of course. I hope that some good people are found to co-operate with the game creators to make such games more "international".
Wow I was in need of some good escape games and my prayers were heard: 3 awesome games in a row! Lovely. Had no probs with the japanese.
ReplyDeleteWhatever you may say, there is a language barrier.
