  1. Mythos, no, just left to right

    ReplyDelete
  2. @Mythos: I didn't. Obviously I did not use the good things :-(

    ReplyDelete
  3. @Mythos: forget my previous comment. 2 more eggs found. 1 to go then right ?

    ReplyDelete
  4. @Eric:

You need two egg paths. There are two eggs per path so a total of 4 eggs. I'm not counting the rotten egg.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Mythos, I dont know what you mean by "path". So far I have B***, F*** and C***. More than 1 to be found then ?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Omega,

It's no use. I can't understand the movements on this third pyramid. Normal is Counter clockwise so mirrored means Clockwise. Then it's negative so it goes back to Counter clockwise, but after the second letter it always goes off the pyramid. The other pyramids were easy to understand, but this one doesn't seem to work the same way at all. I have to throw out all the stuff I learned from the first two just to stay in the pyramid on the third one.

    ReplyDelete
  7. @Eric:

You have the start of both paths. B*** is just a rotten egg. Find another egg on each of the other two egg pages you have.

    ReplyDelete
  8. @Mythos: okay then. Will investigate further tomorrow, thanks !

    ReplyDelete
  9. Mythos, I'll try to help, from the beginning, it's a 2 letter word, is that what you have?

    ReplyDelete
  10. @Donas:

Yes, I have a good two letter word, but I can't figure out where to go from there.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Mythos, next is only 1 letter, just 2 options for a word

    ReplyDelete
  12. Yes, but I can't figure out how to get to any of those two letters from the negative mirrored numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  13. There's not enough spaces to the right to move that far for the first number.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Then, I get to a letter that works and I'm upside down? I've been there before, but then I can't do the next move without going off the pyramid.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Mythos, you have better brains, LOL.

Nu, I've done what it says up here, but I don't get anything readable?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Nu, I applied the written numbers on the title-text. That's okay?

    ReplyDelete
  17. @arrie:

I have no brains left. lol
Nu, yes you are doing it right. Make sure you switch the gibberish each time.

    ReplyDelete
  18. @Mythos, after the second letter you have all the moves were clockwise to reach the third. Don't think of the result as a proper sentence, rather a few proper words put together. Otherwise you'll spend time trying to read something that makes sense.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Mythos, that sounds right, it is mirrored so first 2 numbers go CW, 3rd is a negative so will go back CCW, you should end up on the bottom row

    ReplyDelete
  20. Nu.
After doing it once, you take the outcome and do it a second time on the same numbers and with the same cipher? do I understand that correctly?
    Cause I get no words.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @Verito:

Yes, I moved clockwise each time and ended on a letter that works as a proper word, but the next step after that isn't possible without going off the pyramid. The numbers and letter are upside down where I ended up. I gave up on it making a proper sentence a long time ago.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @Donas: Ohhh, so You do have to read from right to left when they are upside down?

    ReplyDelete
  23. @Mythos, upsidedown sounds good. Then remember in which case (value) you don't do a step but stay on the same cell.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @arrie:

Do one number at a time. You will get gibberish all the way until the last one.

    ReplyDelete
  25. For Hard-AC, how many letters am I looking for?

    ReplyDelete
  26. ohh, I now think I understand what you mean, thanks, will try.

    ReplyDelete
  27. @Donas:

But wasn't a mirrored, negative number CW before? Now it is CCW???

    ReplyDelete
  28. The only way I can think to do it makes me end on the bottom row of the pyramid, but then the next step is impossible.

    ReplyDelete
  29. @Mythos. That level was confusing so I'm trying to remember the moves, I had to try many times.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Mythos, sounds like you are in the right place, move CCW

    ReplyDelete
  31. Can I just play hang man to come up with the rest of the letters instead? :P

    ReplyDelete
  32. Nu,
    found a confusing egg, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Finally hell has frozen over thanks Small for the humongous riddle and to all that helped me through

    ReplyDelete
  34. @Donas:

I can't. The first number moves me all the way to the right, the second doesn't move at all and the third moves me off the pyramid.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @arrie:

Yep, now you know that you did it right. Look back at the gibberish along the way to find something else.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Congrats Mtatt. I don't know how any of you understood this pyramid. lol

    ReplyDelete
  37. Mythos, the moves are right, NW, SW

    Congrats, Mtatt!

    ReplyDelete
  38. @Donas:

They are all positive numbers and not mirrored. The only number that would move me NW would be the middle number, but it is a 1 so it does nothing. Then, the last number moves me SW off the pyramid.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Mythos, maybe I have you in the wrong place? you have the letters for 12 3 4??? ????

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yes, the 4th one is on the bottom row?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Omega you have from there it is mirrored so clockwise and negative so 8 steps up right to P

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hard-AC is really frustrating. I have no clue what I am doing. I have tried using an image splitter to cut and paste but I cannot come up with any letters. I have tried rotating and flipping the images in addition to cutting and pasting and I am getting nothing. Can somebody give me a bigger push, please?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hard AC make letters from the bits

    ReplyDelete
  44. @mtatt:

I'm not sure I'm in the right place then. My 4th letter does not have mirrored or negative numbers on it.

    ReplyDelete
  45. At the third letter you were upside down, with mirrored coordinates, last one was negative?

    ReplyDelete
  46. If so you do (not) move horizontally, then SW, next SE because it's negative (makes the CW rotation).

    ReplyDelete
  47. @Verito:

If I have the pyramid right side up, then the 3rd letter I have is upside down, the coordinates are also upside down and they are mirrored. the coordinate on the right is negative.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Mythos, sorry, it was hard enough to do the first time, lol. The moves go CW, NE, SE, W Small-tool, will offer a better explanation

    ReplyDelete
  49. That looks correct. The coordinate on the right is the third. So you know what the first move means. I'm trying to recreate too what I did the first time.

    ReplyDelete
  50. It's just confusing to me why the one on the right is the third step. At the start I had to turn my head so the numbers looked the right direction and then do left to right from my point of view. Doing that on the third letter would make opposite of what you are supposed to do.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Thanks mythos, on Xi now, colouring :) I like doing that in the real world.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Mythos do you have an account in Nordinho

    ReplyDelete
  53. Can you reach the fourth letter now?

    ReplyDelete
  54. @Veri:

If it's on the bottom row and upside down, then yes. Negative and mirrored coordinates.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I think I might just have to stop here. I can see zero logic in any of these movements and I don't want to make you spoil the whole level for everyone else.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Finally, like Cream sings "I feel free", but couldn't have made it without lots of help, thanks for that guys.
Thanks for making this fantastic riddle for us small, really enjoyed it very much (well, except for you know :P )

    ReplyDelete
  57. As Donas said maybe small could explain it better without giving it away

    ReplyDelete
  58. Mythos, if you can't do it, than don't worry about hints that give away too much. You're good :).
I personally will always need more I think.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I just don't know if it's worth it to try to understand it. All the switching between reading from left to right and right to left, The mirrored letters reversing the direction and making the negative do nothing for some reason, and the lack of it making a good sentence make it too much guessing for me. Maybe there are some governing rules to it that make it logical, but I can't see it. Oh well, I enjoyed the riddle while it lasted.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Congratulations Dutchie.

    ReplyDelete
  61. there must be logic in here. Everything else has logic!

    ReplyDelete
  62. @Mythos, you're close to finishing the whole riddle.

    ReplyDelete
  63. The first three letters you found weren't inverted but the third and fourth are.

    ReplyDelete
  64. @Veri:

I know, but after spending two days trying to make sense of it and then getting so many spoilery hints, I still don't understand anything better than when I started the level. If I can't understand it at this point, then I don't think I ever will.

    ReplyDelete
  65. The → is the positive sense for horizontal, like in math at school, if you move leftwards it's negative. Can you see which are the other two positive senses corresponding to the two other directions? (And thus which ones would be the negative senses for those directions.)

    ReplyDelete
  66. I'm sorry, I must be confusing you.

    ReplyDelete
  67. @Verito:

I understand the positive and negative stuff. I understood the first two pyramids perfectly. This last one though seems to have a lot of inconsistencies that make it impossible for me to understand.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Moving SW is (+) so from that letter on the bottom where you are now, as your first coordinate is (-), you have to move actually NE, the number of moves that your bottom-most value tells you. (That letter you're in is upsidedown.) Reach where Mtatt said and do the middle coordinate, moving NW is (+) but you have a negative value so move SE, finally move horizontally in the negative sense.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I can't count the number of trials that it took me to understand the final pyramid. LOL! I did it and now I'm redoing it and still get confused so you can see it's not you, it's the evil pyramid. No doubt this is the hell path.

    ReplyDelete
  70. For instance, The mirrored numbers mean to start CW instead of CCW. I get that. So it should go left, then NE, and then SW. The problem comes when those numbers are also negative. That should make it switch directions, but for some reason it doesn't? Why does a negative mirrored number still go clockwise?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Unless I never did the first one right and ended on the wrong second letter.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Mythos don't forget about how the triangle is orientated also where the coords are on the triangle

    ReplyDelete
  73. If you move left it means you're moving negatively, like in XY coordinates in math. If you have a coordinate to move in the horizontal direction, if it's a postitive value it's telling you to move to the right, if it's negative it means move to the left. Then you have the CW or CCW part, as that horizontal move is one third of the whole CW or CCW turn.

    ReplyDelete
  74. The first one I turned my head so that the coordinates were upright and then used the coordinates from that perspective. Is that the right way?

    ReplyDelete
  75. I then end up on a second letter that is upright, but the coordinates are all negative and mirrored.

    ReplyDelete
  76. If the mirror comes into play for 4th letter then the direction would be SW but it is negative so NE next direction would be NW but is negative so SE next direction would be E but is negative so it is W

    ReplyDelete
  77. On your second letter you had mirrored coordinates that were on the horizontal side of the triangle, so you move horizontally a negative value, i.e. leftwards. Next move in the CW would be NE, given that SW is positive for that diagonal direction, NE is negative so move the number of steps it says. Finally the SE direction for the CW turn, since NW is always positive, going negative is going SE. That's how you reached the third letter?

    ReplyDelete
  78. So for your second letter just read the coordinates in the order you did, the letter is upright. The coords are mirrored so turn CW. Negative values mean the contrary to E, NW or SW (depending where you have it).

    ReplyDelete
  79. I finally got it. There is some logic behind it, but I still think there is a lot of guess work in figuring out that logic. My mistake was thinking that positive and negative changed based on whether it was CW or CCW, but the positive and negative directions always stay the same direction.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Thanks for putting up with me and helping me figure it out. :)

    ReplyDelete
  81. Do you have the final answer to the level now?

    ReplyDelete
  82. well done and don't worry about spoilers trust me there will me more for this level

    ReplyDelete
  83. @Veri:

No, I'm staring at another egg. lol

    ReplyDelete
  84. The worst of the whole riddle is over though. Basic riddling in that egg. You know what to do with the letters you collected.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Still on Hard-AC. I have cut and pasted the letters but I cannot make anything of it. Can somebody give me a push to get me started? Do I have to spin and rotate the letters or just move them in a different order?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Hard AC some just stack some rotate you have the building blocks to make letters they are all capital by the way each group forms 1 letter

    ReplyDelete
  87. @Chael615, do you see they are in small groups? Spin, rotate and move to make them take one new shape.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Well, I guess I can't even do basic riddling after all that. Stuck on this egg now. lol

    ReplyDelete
  89. If it is the sentence egg then just visit granny

    ReplyDelete
  90. I have been doing that, but she won't give me anything. lol

    ReplyDelete
  91. If you use what is in the url it should do try https://anagram-solver.net/

    ReplyDelete
  92. Are you talking about the egg with the emoticon sticking it's tongue out? I'm past that one. I am on "the last" egg.

    ReplyDelete
  93. the one with 3 eggs in the pyramid if so you have passed 3 parts use them

    ReplyDelete
  94. Are you listening to music now or have you passed that too? Not sure where you are.

    ReplyDelete
  95. How though? I've mad a pyramid with them, I've anagrammed them, I've put them all in the url. Nothing is working.

    ReplyDelete
  96. look where the arrows are pointing to in the eggs

    ReplyDelete
  97. I'm at the egg with the three eggs in the pyramid.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I'm not sure where you are, what do you see in your level?

    ReplyDelete
  99. Hard-AC What program can I use to move the letters around? I am working on a MacBook and I have no program that lets me stack letters.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Hard AC it is not that hard use pen and paper

    ReplyDelete
  101. @Chael615 I used paper and pencil, nothing fancy. What big letter can you form with two half-size D-shapes?

    ReplyDelete
  102. @Veri:

I'm on the Frank Sinatra level now.

    ReplyDelete
  103. @Mtatt and @Verito @Mythos and @Small-tool and everybody else. Thank you soooo much. That level destroyed my psyche. I was making this way harder than it had to be. I was trying to cut and rotate images using any kind of software I could find. Way overdoing it. That pencil thing was the hint I needed. Thanks again to everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Kappa, could someone give a hint where to use numbers, tried using them on both words that got me the 2 eggs and left and right of the line up, ftf and lasts. and mixing them up cant seem to find the right mix had some I thought was close but none of them work

    ReplyDelete
  105. @Mythos, think like a little rebus there and look it up, but notice the middle word of the level name, you know that concept from the beginning of the riddle and you'll use it for future steps in this level.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Oh, I'm terrible at rebus levels. :(

    ReplyDelete
  107. NVM tried again and got it

    ReplyDelete
  108. Not that bad, make first pic a letter, look up what you get on what you have there in the level to know what comes next.

    ReplyDelete
  109. @Veri:

I don't understand what you mean. The left pic is easy enough, but I don't understand what you said to look up.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Those two words you have, do you hear them?

    ReplyDelete
  111. I am still lost. I know the name of the song, but not sure how that fits with the first letter.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I was hoping the rest of the levels would be easy after that pyramid, but I get stuck on every part now. Stuck on egg 1st of 4 eggs.

    ReplyDelete
  113. nvm I found a second egg now.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Well done! Now remember that word in the name of the level.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Only three number grids?

    ReplyDelete
  116. @Mythos: look somewhere else for another one. (A close look)

    ReplyDelete
  117. Now that I have all four of them, I can't find what to do with them.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Maybe if you start singing again, it will become clear.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I thought I could see what to do clearly, but then it became fuzzy again and all the letters I picked looked like gibberish. Not sure how to pick letters correctly.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Mu, not sure what I am supposed to do, got egg (doesn't seem to help) I know what they are but that doesn't seem to help, tried other names not all have one, can someone give me a hint, I don't know what else to google

    ReplyDelete
  121. @robin:

You are right about the other names. They do all have one.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Maybe the gibberish can be read differently. You've almost found the last needle in the haystack.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Finally finished. Those last few levels were a doozy. Thanks for all the help everyone. I'm finally free. :)

    ReplyDelete
  124. @Mythos: Congratulations on finishing!! :)

Congratulations to all the others who have finished too. I hope you all had as much fun as I did!

    ReplyDelete
  125. Thanks. I couldn't have done it without all of the help given here. :)

    ReplyDelete
  126. Congratulations Mythos! You're out of the four paths of torture!

    ReplyDelete
  127. Congrats Mythos, well done :)

    ReplyDelete
  128. @Vanja and Eric - if you got the basic egg, take that to the most common cipher and you should get two words. Each of those is the first egg on an egg path (there are two egg paths). You'll find something more on each egg to guide your steps.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Hi all! I'm stuck on Hard-Q. I solved the chart and have read earlier hints, but I have no clue how to find the missing country.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Huge congratulations to Donas, Ceebee, Verito, Dutchie, mtatt100 and Mythos and all other players who have been to hell and back. WOW. Brilliant!

    ReplyDelete
  131. Hard Q. check on a map where the countries are located, you will find one missing.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Ah, OK! Thanks, Dutchie. I Googled the four parts together and I get Znevn Gurerfn bs Fcnva. I've tried some variations of that as the answer, but they don't work. Was my Googling wrong? :/

    ReplyDelete
  133. @ BlackFiresong: That's not his mother :)

    ReplyDelete
  134. Hard Q-That is the wrong person double check your missing items

    ReplyDelete
  135. Haha, d'oh! I thought that was his mother, but she's his spouse, lol. On Control egg now and not sure how to proceed.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I'm way back on med XXIII, got two eggs (and will claim being busy rather than being dense). I jsut don't know how to whip that fellow into shape. I have read hints, but am clearly misunderstanding. Now that we are so far down the track, any chance of a shove rather than a general/gentle hint? I'm wearing a helmet and protective gear, so feel free to really give me a push. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Control egg use the info on your grid that you completed

    ReplyDelete
  138. Just finished the hard path. On to go raise some hell now! Thanks to everyone for helping me to get this far!

    ReplyDelete
  139. Thanks, mtatt. I found old hints that helped me figure it out (thank you to robin for asking all the right questions!). Now on R and genuinely stumped. Can't see any hints, so it must be easy, but I have noooo clue how to start. I tried counting the words in each sentence, but that wasn't helpful.

@clio_rose - If you've got the first egg (from surnames), and the second egg (from real surnames), then try and use the numbers on the level as a way to pick letters from the real surnames. That should give you a third egg.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Well done, Chael! That's amazing! :D

    ReplyDelete
  141. Thank you BFS. I had the third egg, but didnt know how to whip it. Duhh me. Forgot the first rule and was so convinced of red and green lines and deleting etc. On to XXIV now. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Hard-R - is it to do with the recurrences of a certain word that rhymes with pond?

    ReplyDelete
  143. Hard R. Try the most basic riddle method, even if you think that's not it :)

    ReplyDelete
  144. @BFS Just follow the first rule of riddling. And visit your gramma sometimes, even if you don't think she wants you to!

    ReplyDelete
  145. A new finisher on the regular riddle.
Congrats, very well done. Thanks for playing.

  146. What is the answer Level 3 can you count us?

    ReplyDelete
  147. I have been staring at hard level S for two days.
I don't know how and where to make a move. Are the directions hidden in the text above the grid?

    ReplyDelete
  148. Thanks, dutchie and Chael! That was the first thing I tried, but I thought it couldn't possibly be an avenue worth pursuing. D'oh!

Am confused by Hard-S - I'm starting on the first letter of "jurer" ba gur frpbaq-ynfg ebj (which I think is the seventh first letter), and I'm following the dirEctioNS in the first line of text (after the headline), but I'm stumped. Do I need to go to Granny? Also, if two directions are next to each other, do I combine and go diagonally? Or only NEWS?

    ReplyDelete
  149. @Tinned Veg - I'm equally confused! I think I have the right starting point, but I'm stabbing in the dark with regards to the directions...

    ReplyDelete
  150. Hard R. I found two rotten eggs, bu I can't find tft 7 letters. Pls help.

    ReplyDelete
  151. @Vanja - Think the "first" rule of riddling. Totally back to basics. Don't worry if you don't see vowels - it'll still work out at Granny's!

    ReplyDelete
  152. What is the answer to Can you count us? Level 3 on Easy Path

    ReplyDelete
  153. Hard S, You need another place to start. The text tells you that 'the seventh first is where your route starts'. Try to figure out what the 7th first can be. Following directions is a good thought.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Hard R, I have 7 letters "cuueflg". Correct or not?

    ReplyDelete
  155. @Unknown: The title instructs you directly on what to do. Look at the answers you got to get to the "can you count us" egg and count the number of letters in each and convert those numbers to get different letters. There should be no need to anagram. For the first animal, use the long form of its name.

    ReplyDelete
  156. @dutchie: Is my start point wrong? I'm starting at the first letter of "jurer" ba gur frpbaq-ynfg ebj.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Unknown. When playing riddles, the general rule is to give hints and never spoilers. What is it you don't understand. Please be general so there is no spoiling for future players.

    ReplyDelete
  158. @Vanja - that doesn't seem right to me. Go sentence by sentence. I think most of your letters are right, but the first one you've listed is wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  159. @BFS yes, wrong place. Find the 7th first.

  160. @BlackFiresong, Thanks, was my mistake.

  161. @dutchie: Damn. I swear I've tried everything. :/ Should what I get spell something out in order? Or do I need to visit Granny?

    ReplyDelete
  162. @dutchie
I think I got the starting point. But how to know what is the next step?

    ReplyDelete
  163. @Tinned Veg: It's to do with the text above the grid. 10 words = 10 directions to follow. And the number of letters of each word is important.

@dutchie: Thank you so much!!! Alphabet hint did it for me.

  164. Back again in the struggle on Hard-O. Have 2 ingredients for my lunch. Question: are there only 2 of them or more ?

    ReplyDelete
  165. @BFS
Thank you so much. Got it finally.

    ReplyDelete
  166. @Eric
There are 5 eggs in this level. Eggs also have eggs.

    ReplyDelete
  167. @Tinned V.: I meant ingredients for the omelette ;)

    ReplyDelete
  168. @Eric
You need 4 ingredients to make omelette. Ask granny for more.

    ReplyDelete
  169. @Eric: Hard-O - there's an initial egg, then two paths of two each. So total five (but the very obvious initial one isn't really important). You need to get both the eggs on both the paths to get the final answer for the level.

Somebody please throw me a hint for Hard-T - my brain is starting to go mushy from all this riddling, haha. I understand the basis of the title (I think), but do I have to apply it on that whole long text? I can't see how that would work. I can see that there are hints towards the end about "consecutive strings" and "middle", but I don't really know how to apply those.

    ReplyDelete
  170. BFS, hard T, the hints you mentioned are as easy as aBc

    ReplyDelete
  171. @Tinned & BFS: then I must be on the final step and granny doesnt help... How the hell can I add these 2 "things" to what ? Am stuck.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Mythos, congrats on finishing, Just a Bit of Grit needed! :D

    ReplyDelete
  173. @Donas - Thanks! But do I have to pick that from every word in the text? What about the ones with even numbers of letters that don't have a definitive middle?

@Eric: It's a multi-word answer. Granny the words from the two egg paths together, and then add the things they tell you to add in such a way that the words all make sense together.

    ReplyDelete
  174. BFS, yes, all the text, none should have more than 3

    ReplyDelete
  175. @Donas: So I pick letters from each word and exclude some as indicated by the title? That's still wayyyy too many letters to granny. Am I going wrong somewhere? Feel like I'm missing something really obvious!

    ReplyDelete
  176. BFS, you need 9 things, that should help you see something :)

    ReplyDelete
  177. @Donas - thank you! But I'm afraid I'm still stumped. I tried picking the middles of each sentence and the title and subheading and got more than 9 letters (even after cutting NEWS), and Granny doesn't give me any results. :(

    ReplyDelete
  178. BFS, it isn't sentences, look for "consecutive strings"

  179. 2000 !! comments time for a new page!

  180. Hello.
    Xi.
Does the egg tell me to divide the little things into letters?

    ReplyDelete
  181. Xi, egg tells you to read between the lines after you did what url says.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Xi.
Thank you. Do you get 10 letters in total?
Some are upon each other, that makes it hard to read.
My, it looks like such a simple level!

    ReplyDelete
  183. Xi, yes 10 letters. A space between the lines will help, try to draw letters in Paint.

  184. Hard W
Well, I have the egg, but nothing else. Everyone in comments seems to have gotten the egg and next think they are onto X. I still sit here and stare at W. Any hints to get me past egg?
