  1. Oh ... clio ? .... ehm ... not 13 was a hint as to what to use, LOL, do take a good look at it please?

    ReplyDelete
  2. @Clio_Rose, that is what I am doing but only have 24, not 40

    ReplyDelete
  3. Colmkilm. Use the last two letters in the title. Write them out in the order they appear. .... and make sure they are in the order they appear. Group them into 8's. (pssst...tell you what i did? I pasted the text into notepad and used the change thingy. Changed one letter into a number and the other letter into a diff number, badda bing badda boom) ..also made it heaps easier to find them.

    ReplyDelete
  4. @Clio_Rose, think I see what to do. I was doing the right thing but in the wrong place. Going to take a wee break and then come back. TY

    ReplyDelete
  5. Good luck Colmkilm. See you next time. Way past my bedtime, so will read back tmrw and cheat off your wonderful, as yet to be posted, hints on Hard O, which arrie NL has also left me hints for. Tmrw for the solve. Yay me, I hope.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Ok.. I finallllly got Med-III! But, I'm confused. I thought the instructions in the bottom sentence were actually part of the riddle. If I had ignored the context I probably would have solved much faster. Is this something I should embrace for the rest of the game?

    ReplyDelete
  7. @Unknown, sometimes there are tricks like that in the levels and it's part of the riddle. In fact sometimes he tricks us with incredibly simple things because we're set to overthink LOL. (I thought too that I had to do something else with the things in that level.) :P

  10. @Clio_Rose I got the cure, eventually. I used a hard copy and did it by hand!! (Teehee)

    ReplyDelete
  11. Colmkilm. Good for you!! Yay for the old-fashioned cure of Pencil'in'em.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Now you have had the cure, Colmkilm...please get me past my O. Im desperate for a P.

    ReplyDelete
  13. @Clio_Rose, Pencil'in'em, very good. Okay so now on to Hard N.

    ReplyDelete
  14. A Hard N is always difficult to deal with. However, that's not my prob. I await relief from my O, so we can both have a P.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Chinese has always seemed greek to me

    ReplyDelete
  16. That wouldn't mean iota to me. Counting always serves me well.

    ReplyDelete
  17. @clio_rose looking forward to having a P but need to get rid of my Hard N first. I have tried everything I can think of

    ReplyDelete
  18. @Colmkilm, try to spell out. Then listen to Clio's advice.

    ReplyDelete
  19. @Clio, title + anagram should give you an easy egg but title + another cipher should give you two good ones.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Thanks for the help on Hard O, Donas, Dutchie and Verito. I totally missed the obvious, and was ready to kill granny for not making an omelette. I used the wrong ingredients! And even better, and to my great relief, I P'd successfully. On to Q. Yayy.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Got through Har N and now haave three eggs on hard O

    ReplyDelete
  22. One is a dud egg. Two are good eggs. I suspect you need to get to P too, so im happy to help. Your two good eggs will give a further egg from each. Granny helps, and so does that fact that...grrr...the riddle maker sometimes uses emoticons.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Colmkilm, each egg needs the second egg.

Dear Small-tool, if I survive this riddle, then I will be alive to be able to kill you. Yours sincerely, Clio.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Sorry I meant I have the 2nd EGGS

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yayy you. You took about a second what it took me about three days. Congrats.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Now I need to make my omellette

    ReplyDelete
  27. OK so still need to get the final answer on HARD O

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hard O, if you have both 2nd (and last) eggs, anagram the two answers for a new egg (and to get final answer, add the words, like the text on on those eggs says. You need a three word answer)

    ReplyDelete
  29. TY dutchie. I did that a thousand ties but not in the order you pointed out

    ReplyDelete
  30. @clio_rose, TY to you too for your help. When I get finished with my P I will next in line, or next in the Q

    ReplyDelete
  31. Good luck in the Q, Colmkilm. I will be in it for quite a while. Pls leave hints when you R moving on. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  32. delta: cant find any egg
    help pls

    ReplyDelete
  33. @Mishu you have seen the text before, look back. You need a 6 letter word.

    ReplyDelete
  34. addicted to small...most of you can understand this,so level Nu,i know the cipher, think i know the numbers-letters from the scale,i begin with the title gibberish and the first letter as a key, take what it gives then with the second letter etc but cant come to a useful end,pls help

    ReplyDelete
  35. I don't have time to help right now, but it's great you're all still going strong! :).

    ReplyDelete
  36. delta: got egg but now what?
    no anagram

    ReplyDelete
  37. @Sofia, I think your key is wrong. Use the first number as key (but not in digits of course). Continue with second number as the next key, etc. I think all the rest you did is correct. I hope you can get to something useful this time.

    ReplyDelete
  38. hard L...I've read the previous hints, but I'm still clueless

    ReplyDelete
  39. abraxxass two first letters of the title!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Abraxxass, did you find any hidden text? It will tell you what to do.

Sofia Nt, I think you may have given a hint for the next level. (maybe?)

    ReplyDelete
  41. clio, no, unfortunately not, I've tried to manipulate the pic with brightness and contrast, but I can't find any hidden text. Counted words of eeach line and tried numbers to letters..nothing..

    ReplyDelete
  42. Abraxxass, try using Ctrl A..and scrolling down just a titchy bit under the text.

    ReplyDelete
  43. aaah..silly me, thanks a lot..found the hint..but no I'm more confused than before, lol

    ReplyDelete
  44. Don't be. All it is telling you, is to ignore those which aren't there. Use only one of each which are there. May seem unbelievably improbable, but those one of each, DO make a word.

    ReplyDelete
  45. yippieeeee..thanks clio, onto M

    ReplyDelete
  46. clio you are right, sorry for misunderstanding, but anyway abraxxass can use it later! As for me always stuck on Nu,still can find the proper way

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hahah. Never worry, Sofia Nt. I will use any hints you get, later. I'm still on Hard Q. I like how on this riddle, we are all playing at a different pace, but each of us gets help.

    ReplyDelete
  48. thanks, level Q was hard for me,the filling of the grid is necessary in order to continue

    ReplyDelete
  49. Thanks Sofia. Yes, I'm finding it very difficult. However, I don't worry. Eventually, through trial and error, I will find the correct way. I am in no hurry.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Sofia: Sounds like you have the right idea, maybe this will help you find where you are going off track. The numbers you get from the scale turn into words to be used as keys, each number is used in turn on what you get from each decode step - 5 numbers, so 5 decode steps - that should get you to an egg, which hopefully will help you escape Nu

    ReplyDelete
  51. ceebee thanks for helping,how can number 7 turns into a word?same with 12etc?

    ReplyDelete
  52. thanks a lot,so easy but didnt think it by now

    ReplyDelete
  53. so stuck on hard O..found 2 eggs (f*** and c***) , but now I can't find the other two eggs. btw thank you all so much for your patience and help :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. Abraxxass, granny would love to help you find those eggs :)

    ReplyDelete
  55. cee bee, tried to visit a granma with L*** and R***** and both together..it didn't work

    ReplyDelete
  56. There's another sneaky letter on the first one - 2nd should work, look again or maybe try another tool.
    Use them seperately.

    ReplyDelete
  57. A new finisher :)

    Congrats EG24 Lurker :)

    Hall of Fame

    ReplyDelete
  58. thanks a lot cee bee, finally onto P

    ReplyDelete
  59. A new finisher :)

    Congrats deecee :)

    Hall of Fame

    ReplyDelete
  60. Congrats to the new finishers! :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. on P, where's the second egg? I've found the first one by using m****, but now?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Hard P.
Count the number of times she winks and the number of lines. Can you find a way to combine them?

    ReplyDelete
  63. yes, I already tried to combine it..I only used first letters from lines with a d** or from lines with a d*** got a three letter word from the d**..it didn't work

    ReplyDelete
  64. Back for more torture. On p and have a one word egg

    ReplyDelete
  65. So we seem to be on the same page

    ReplyDelete
  66. Abraxxass, let go of m****, just look at the direction the eyes and combine that with the text.

    ReplyDelete
  67. thanks a lot, arrie, onto Q :)..colmkilm, did you get it?

    ReplyDelete
  68. Do you have the two necessary eggs, Colmkilm?

    ReplyDelete
  69. The 8 letter one I suspect, cause you mentioned 8 letters?

    ReplyDelete
  70. I guess you miss the egg with the 4 letter word? famous cipher, often used in an emergency case at sea

    ReplyDelete
  71. Yes I have been trying that but not getting anything that makes sense

    ReplyDelete
  72. first letter is l*** sh***, second is sh***

    ReplyDelete
  73. Glad to have been of help, but I have to leave again. Enjoy!

    ReplyDelete
  74. bye arrie and thanks again

    ReplyDelete
  75. OK and on Hard Q. TY @Abraxxas and @Arrie

    ReplyDelete
  76. i have so much problems to solve this logic riddle at Q

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hmmm... only five of each six. Methinks there will be blank spaces

    ReplyDelete
  78. Hard Q. Am I overthinking or underthinking?

    ReplyDelete
  79. isee nobody was stuck on Mu.
i got only obvious egg ...

    ReplyDelete
  80. Mu
The egg is telling you, you're not on Roman anymore but on Greek.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Q was long to solve, it takes patience. The computers riddle is necessary to find the egg and answer of the level.

    ReplyDelete
  82. colmkilm, any success on Q? it's so frustrating

    ReplyDelete
  83. Abraxxass, I now have an egg. That grid is super duper confusing and difficult. The only thing i can think of to help is to say, there will be one square left empty in each section. When you have your 4 empty squares, what should be there, will either be obvious or solveable. From there you can get your egg. As a start, use clue 14, to place that. Then use clue 8. I can tell you that I was confused by Left and Right. I thought it meant extreme left/right on grid. It didn't. It meant left or right of the mentioned piece. Hope I haven't confused you further.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Is the egg on Hard Q asking me for a twelve letter answer? I'm not sure how to read it.

    ReplyDelete
  85. You're not sure how to read those 12 letters, because you're blind :P

    ReplyDelete
  86. Am I? Good grief. It's Thursday. I thought I only got blind on a Friday. Thanks for making me close my eyes, Small.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I am definitely closing my eyes, and going to bed. If this works out the way I think it may, then I want to be wide awake to appreciate what I think will be one of the most masterful riddle levels EVER made. Wowzers.

    ReplyDelete
  88. thanks a lot for your hint, clio :) solved thegrid now (i hope it is correct)..but now? what to do with the empty boxes? I think I know what is missing at the family (m*****) and the chess pieces (k***), but the numbers and countiers?

    ReplyDelete
  89. how did you get the egg, colmkilm?

    ReplyDelete
  90. Abraxxass and Colmkilm,. Use the PIN. Check their connection. Each one is connected to the other. I failed at finding which country, but used the other bits to get what i needed.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Colmkilm, you are at where I am. Read above for Small-tool's hint. I think i know what to do next, however, i really do have to hit the hay. I am on Nana duty first thing tmrw morning. Good luck to you both. If I am thinking incorrectly with being blinded, do please leave me a hint. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  92. for the egg..do I need br*****?

    ReplyDelete
  93. Goodnight @clio_rose. Sleep well.
@Abraxxass I am at work now but will take a look at it in about and hour

    ReplyDelete
  94. good night clio and thanks a lot for your help. finally onto R. my thought for Q egg is correct. use each line seperately on the chart. you will get 12 letters. no anagram needed

    ReplyDelete
  95. Thanks Abraxxass and Small. I am out of the Q, passed the R, and now want to howl at S.

    ReplyDelete
  96. a little hint for R, please? thought about double letters but this is wrong. thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Don't overthink!
R is way and way easier than you think.
Although you think it's not gonna be a word, Granny does give you one :)

    ReplyDelete
  98. I only got a rotten egg, lol

    ReplyDelete
  99. Abraxxass, truly it is easier than you are making it. I tried the basic rules, and ignored the obvious one, because I didn't think it could possibly work. It did. You could have knocked me over with a feather when it did.

    ReplyDelete
  100. omg, thats it??? so simple?? just got it. looooool, thanks a lot s-t and clio :) that was mean :) onto S

    ReplyDelete
  101. I knowwww!! I was all, this is Hard levels. ..so must be something super difficult. And in a way it was, because we didnt think to do it. hahhaha. Good luck with S. I have no idea yet where to start. I won't be trying again until tmrw.

    ReplyDelete
  102. HAHAHAHAHA :) for S: I'sawd the hint that we have to start on the seventh first letter, so on the seventh A in the text,I think ..but then?

    ReplyDelete
  103. Oh. I tried the seventh W, because of what the animal was, and also it was a direction. BUT, I have no idea how many to go, even if that is correct (which i don't think it is). I think you are more likely correct. I also went 7 down, first letter, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Just had another (probably wrong) thought. We start at the start, which starts with S, so maybe the 7th S? Gahhh. Too much for my tired old brain on a Friday night. Good luck Abraxxass. Leave me hints if you get it, please. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  105. okay, I read again about the seventh A as starting point. then we have to use the 10 words fom the headline. the number of letters from each word gives us the number of steps. First letter is the starting point, so the answer has 11 letters. but But I have no idea in what directions we have to step. I found this hint from arrie: "the path to follow also shows the directions to take. " I don't get it

    ReplyDelete
  106. Just starting Hard S and no work this afternoon.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Hard S, you are correct using the 7th A as your startpoint. Use a compass to lead you the right way.

    ReplyDelete
  108. so my firt direction is N, then E?

    ReplyDelete
  109. First direction is E, then NE.

    ReplyDelete
  110. @Abraxxass I got Hard S. Each word in title has a direction and a number. Take that number of steps in those directions and you should find your way out of this absurdity

    ReplyDelete
  111. Colmkilm. I keep meaning to be asleep, but keep trying to solve. So do we move E x 3, NE x 4, then..fingers crossed W x 4, and if a miracle of understanding happens....E x 2? i.e. use the direction given in word x the number of letters in word?

    ReplyDelete
  112. @Clio-Rose yes. JUst make sure you start at the correct 7th A. I kept using the 8th!!!

    ReplyDelete
  113. Thanks colmkilm. Solved and on to T. That was another tricky one. The first three letters made me think I was definitely on the wrong path. And now to bed for me. Thank you again. See you tmrw when either you, Abraxxass or I will be leaving each other hints. (I hope it's you both, as i like to just cheat off hints and not use my brain at all). Good night and happy solving.

    ReplyDelete
  114. @Clio_Rose I have just done T. Can I tease you with a hint?

    ReplyDelete
  115. Colmkilm, you can tease me with any hint you wish. I will love it. However, it wont stop me falling asleep as an old knackered nana. A morning glory of solving is the dawn of a new day. Thanks for the hint i will hopefully read tmrw. Night.

    ReplyDelete
  116. @Clio_Rose Nine alphabet sandwiches

    ReplyDelete
  117. OK need a nudge in the right direction with Hard U

    ReplyDelete
  118. Try to read the text like it's 5 words.

    ReplyDelete
  119. TY small-tool. I will try that. BTW What a wonderful level was Hard Q. Man did I enjoy that

    ReplyDelete
  120. omega 3: i dont get a real sentence :(

    ReplyDelete
  121. Mishu, that's correct. Gramming will work.

    ReplyDelete
  122. @Mishu, if you're in the third pyramid you're not supposed to get a proper sentence. Look for words matching that pattern of letters in the level text.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Mishu I'm sorry to say your first letters are wrong.

You go 3 to the right, then 3 NorthWest to form the triangle, but then it's -3.
So you're not going down to close the triangle, but you go in the opposite direction: North.

    ReplyDelete
  124. @Mishu, if you start at the bottom left corner and use the coordinates of the text just to kick off (3,3,-3) you should reach another consonant as start letter. Think vectors, 3 components but in a 2D space.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I'm now on hard X. I have added via numbers and letters, but got nothing. I have no idea what the four letters under the line mean, or what to do with them.

btw, thank you for your hint on T Colmkilm, and for yours on U, small.

    ReplyDelete
  126. @Clio_Roase. Could you give me a nudge on U?

    ReplyDelete
  127. Colmkilm, with U, I broke the first word of text into 2 three letter words, broke the second word into a four letter and three letter word, and applied that to the third word. Hope that helps.

    ReplyDelete
  128. @Clio_Rose, TY. I was trying to apply ST's hint to the text in the pic. On V Now. Glad you enjoyed the supper that I left for you

    ReplyDelete
  129. I did the same thing, Colmkilm. It was only when I re-read small-tool's hint over and over again, that I thought...oh, I think I can make those three into five. I had my nine ingredient sandwich for breakfast, for which I thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  130. On W, may I suggest that when you get googling, use the word 'papal' NOT 'popes'. That hint was left on page ohhh, about 1 zillion ago. It will save you using Ctrl F to find it.

    ReplyDelete
  131. It was a great forty days journey for me,at last i am "free"!I wouldlnt have make it without your hints,so thank you and small tool you really kick some a..es!bye for now see you all soon.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Congratulations Sofia Nt. Yayy you.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Yay, congrats Sofia, weel done! :)

    ReplyDelete
  134. thanks, and to all the "buds" if i was able to make it then you can do it....

    ReplyDelete
  135. Sofia Nt, did you email small-tool when you finished easy, medium, hard? I can't see you in the HoF? To the best of my recollection, sounds like you not only finished those, but also got out of Hell. I also checked that HoF. Because I couldnt see you there, I asked one the brainiac's (dutchie). Apparently, there are questions to be answered and mailed to small-tool. Please do email him with those answers. We would all love to see you in both HoF's.

    ReplyDelete
  136. @Clio_Rose, I did not expect two Papal visits in one day!!! Guess where I am?

    ReplyDelete
  137. Two papal visits? To be sure, to be sure. I am sure I know now where that pot o' gold is.

    ReplyDelete
  138. clio yes i have finished all paths plus the hell one ,but I think I dont deserve to be there.I managed to it not only with my efforts, but mostly with the big hints I found here,so it shouldnt be fair to be among those great players that finished long time before me.No hard feelings, thats the way I see it ,I feel this is an honest act.

    ReplyDelete
  139. @Clio_Rose, at my first attempt I got an APPALLING answer, then tried chronology, then finality. What am I missing?

    ReplyDelete
  140. Sofia, of course you deserve to be in the HOF's. We all needed hints to get there. Please mail small-tool.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Oh sofia. We all use each others hints. Truly, YOU solved it. No-one GAVE you any answers. I have had many answers given to me, but i truly feel that, having done the work, I have still solved. Please do write to small-tool. I don't believe he would want you to feel that way. I believe he would want you to celebrate. Please do celebrate your success. YOU solved as well as anyone else. Everyone has had help from whatever sources they could access. Please do accept the well deserved congratulations of all the other players. x

    ReplyDelete
  142. @Sofia The point of the game is to get there WITH the HELP of others. Team work. Therefore you deserve to be in the HoF

    ReplyDelete
  143. Colm, i wrote to small-tool regarding that appalling answer too, and mentioned that at least we could have received a rotten report.

After scrolling back through those bazillion comments, I found a comment which said..google Papal names. I did that and got the correct wiki page.

    ReplyDelete
  144. stuck at The last level
i have video and image, i dont see anything in image

    ReplyDelete
  145. @Mishu, I see you've made more progress, well done. The pic is a kind of rebus, try to 'listen' what comes after it.

    ReplyDelete
  146. yes, on egg 1
what function for level theta mean?

    ReplyDelete
  147. @Sofia, I subscribe to what Clio, Dutchie and Colmkilm said. Do you think any of us didn't need (lots of) hints and help from the others to complete the levels? That's why it's been fun for all of us and that's how it works. I hope to see you at the HoF's very soon. And at next ST's riddle playing with us too.

    ReplyDelete
  148. @Mishu, ignore the semantics, red herring, just focus on the fact that you're on the 'last' level.

    ReplyDelete
  149. @Sofia, and CONGRATULATIONS of course!!

    ReplyDelete
  150. you mean i need last letters of those levels answers? because they dont make a word

    ReplyDelete
  151. @Mishu, just the text in the level including the underlined part.

    ReplyDelete
  152. My previous hint stands for this egg too. See where to apply it this time.

    ReplyDelete
  153. seems like i need last last from url, but how to apply numbers?

    ReplyDelete
  154. Mishu, when you have 4 sets of number, one from each egg, you have to go back to Frank.

    ReplyDelete
  155. finished!

thanks for all the help and thanks S-T for the riddle, was a pleasure playing it!!

    ReplyDelete
  156. Yay, congrats Mishu, well done :)

    ReplyDelete
  157. @Mishu, CONGRATULATIONS! You're a finisher! And you've made it out of hell! Well done!

    ReplyDelete
  158. Seems I have hit a brick wall with Hard W.I have tried all sorts of (mad) ideas

  159. Colmkilm, when you googled did you use the words papal names? Dont google popes.

    ReplyDelete
  160. When you google using that, you will find there is only one with that number of them. Use the first letter of each.

  161. Clio-Rose I have done precisely that but getting nothing making any sense

    ReplyDelete
  162. hmmmm. How many letters did you get? You only need four, and they quickly granny

    ReplyDelete
  163. oh hang on. You used the third column didn't you? The first column is normal numbering, second column is name, and third column is the one you need. It tells how many of each (i think?)

  169. Some kind of little hint for Hard X would be most appreciated

    ReplyDelete
  170. Hard X, if you do the math it will give a gibberish word. The level title should give you a hint were to use it, together with the OSSk.

  171. colm. I read dutchie's hint, for which i thank her. (grrrrrr me..i had done that, but dismissed it) What i hadn't even thought to do is granny that old-fashioned word which is the title. That gave the cipher. I now have a 'black' egg. (ps..i had to try all combo's of which word goes in which section of the solver).

  172. Hard X, to get the other egg you have to do math again. A bit tricky but do what the sum tells you to do.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Thanks Dutchie. No idea what you mean, but thank you anyway. I will try to use my brain again tmrw. Goodnight from me. BTW...do you know how to do the Bold comment thingy of saying that we are nearly 3800 comments and new comments will be on the next page? I dont know how to type in bold. I know that Alpha says Pagination Alert. No idea what to say after that.
