  3. Robin, pw5 finally clicked, it's K

    ReplyDelete
  4. Hi riddlers, stuck on 2nd egg in Med-XI.

    ReplyDelete
  5. @ med xi only had 1 egg there did not maths think pnyraqne naq nqq gur ynfg ahzore sbe fcrpvny qnlf

  6. Eric, the calendar, the bolds are months and days when you have a date you have to calculate the correct day and see what is special about it

    ReplyDelete
  7. lvl T - I thought I knew what to do, I got 8 yrggref left, but there's no chance of word out of it, maybe I'm on a wrong track

    ReplyDelete
  8. Hotaru,
Don't forget about the article title and read (one of the last lines) about what to pick.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Got crazy busy yesterday and didn't get much riddling done. Stuck on the 1st egg of med-XI. Don't really know what to do with the numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  10. @Eric911 - did you figure it out? If so, can you help me?

    ReplyDelete
  11. I got lvl T but I don't understand "no news" clue .. :D

    ReplyDelete
  12. 'No news' is not a clue, just a funny title about those scientists discovering nothing new.

    ReplyDelete
  13. XXV egg
finally have a bit of spare time to continue
still sitting 1 step before finishing - didn't find the other end yet
applied in vain numbers on letters/positions in several ways...

    ReplyDelete
  14. BFS

    think calendar & special days

    ReplyDelete
  15. Alpha, do the same as you did to find the end you got, but do it on other letters.

    ReplyDelete
  16. got it ST - thx - go figure!

    phew!
shall I really continue with the hard path with so little spare time I have...???
(like that I'll be still on it next year...!)
    hm.

    ReplyDelete
  17. btw, while looking at the HOFs - nobody finished yet...?! :-o

    ReplyDelete
  18. Just go on at your own pace and you won't be on your own. A year from now there will still be people finishing. That's the way ot goes with riddles.

Nobody in the Hof, No. And there won't be any soon :P
I think the players ahead are at level X.

    ReplyDelete
  19. But very stuck there :P Could use a hint to find other egg.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hi, hint for lvl med VI egg please?

    'Rubik's cube'

    ReplyDelete
  21. Dazz, count the colours, then use it to pick letters.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I was brave & started the hard path...! :-o

    hard-A
mayhaps I don't have the correct 3 words, as nothing works...
is there sth more we must do with them?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hard A, using the three words in right order should get you to next level.

    ReplyDelete
  24. thanks dutchie:)

    ReplyDelete
  25. @AlphaOmega - I've Googled all the dates, and 2 of them have names (plus another 1 I'm not quite sure about), but the two in December mean nothing to me. Am I barking up the wrong tree? I feel sooo stupid. :/

    ReplyDelete
  26. Decided to start the Hard path while I wait for inspiration to hit me on the Medium one. I somehow passed Hard-A and am now totally stuck on Hard-B. I have no idea what to do with the title.

    ReplyDelete
  27. BlackFireSong. I only solved that one a short time ago, with help from comments here. Using the hints above, and i dont know which country you are from but the first two are month then day. (i do it d/m/y, so was confused). Check the date..then move forward or backwards with the final number. You may move to a diff month or year or whatever. Good luck.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Thanks, clio!!! I finally got it. Yeah, I figured based on the numbers that it had to be American style dates. I thought the last number wasn't involved at all, since it said "forget about years". Hence my confusion.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Not a lot to go on for level U. What am I missing?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Totally stuck on XII. The coordinates lead me to the middle of nowhere and nothing relating to that place works. :/ The worst levels are the ones where the hint in the comments is "think basic"... it's so much easier to overcomplicate things!

    ReplyDelete
  31. stuck on Hard-U as well. Took the '..'out of the two words, and tried 'sounds as'. But that doesn't work so far.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Mythos, maybe try to read the text under pic a bit differently.

    ReplyDelete
  33. checking my notes BlackF.
ah, yes, google maps is not working, is it?
    The numbers indiviually themselves are.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Blackfiresong, maybe use the coordinates in an other way.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Thanks, Arrie and dutchie! Woo - made it past XII and XIII and now onto XIV :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. The coordinates are working! Just zoom out a bit on Google maps. It brings you to Zouar (a rotten egg).

Level U is about taking an giving.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Stuck on XIV now. I understand that division is involved, but the numbers I get from dividing give me nothing useful...

    ReplyDelete
  38. lol, it does? Zouar ... gonna try and put it in ..
oh, have to open medium again.
yep. Makes me wonder how many eggs I missed !

    ReplyDelete
  39. Haha, I went to have a look at that rotten egg, s-t. I kept trying "Tibesti" myself on XII as that's what Google showed me for those coordinates! Didn't see Zouar on the map.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Level X, do the same with another word to get another key.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Ah, made it to XV (without finding the egg for XIV, though)! Definitely focus on the "counting" part to solve XIV. Zeros are a red herring!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hard-U.
Took the letters from '...' out of the other words, and tried to make combinations. Also with what's not present from the '...' in the other words.
Also worked with first/last letters, all sorts of combo's, but nothing.
I think I need a little more here, please?

    ReplyDelete
  43. And now on to W. What's that easy one doing on the hard path? lol

    ReplyDelete
  44. @arrie The entire riddle is in the text below the pic. Forget about the pic.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Hard-U.
Tried keeping all letters, but taking the spaces out and dividing into new words .. nada.

    ReplyDelete
  46. You need to take some letters away and add others.

    ReplyDelete
  47. On W I have been googling Popes for a while, but I haven't come up with anything useful. Can I get a push?

    ReplyDelete
  48. @Hotaru First two words give instructions. Last word is what you use the instructions on.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Mythos, it doesn't really say Popes does it?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hard-U.
So ... do divide and create four new words.
    Then work with that.
    My .. I needed behind the screen-help here. :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. Oh, got it, I was taking one letter too much. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Need a wee nudge on MED IX

    ReplyDelete
  53. Colmkilm: Use the numbers on the colour names

    ReplyDelete
  54. TY Cee Bee. Had done that but forgot to do it for the answers as well

    ReplyDelete
  55. hint on med lvl VII please?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Dazz Ley, all our HEADS are TALKING to you

    ReplyDelete
  57. Not finding any eggs on X. Lots of anagrams there, but no eggs.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Mythos I am stuck on the egg. I got there by ftf

    ReplyDelete
  59. Oops, I guess I should say Hard X is where I'm stuck. There are two level X's. lol

    ReplyDelete
  60. I am a long way from there, Lol

    ReplyDelete
  61. hard lvl V - is it a "google" level?

    ReplyDelete
  62. I can help with your level X though. You need the sounds the make and then ask granny.

    ReplyDelete
  63. @Hotaru It doesn't have to be. It was general knowledge for me. You need to find what relates the three things.

    ReplyDelete
  64. colmkilm, not following you, sorry?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Dazz Ley look at my words in CAPS in the previous post and reverse the order

    ReplyDelete
  66. Google it and the french phrase

    ReplyDelete
  67. been searching for help 100 times, thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  68. W is the egg only rotten, or is ir helpful?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Anybody had only note "The design of this site is created in the designer Wix.com. Create your site today" and link to site with white screen? Under this note only white screen too.

    ReplyDelete
  70. yes Hotaru it is a red herring

    ReplyDelete
  71. Blinded by Hard-W I'm afraid.
    A hint please?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Chip,
I think that's when the page is not fully loading. It seems Wix is acting up a lot lately. Try to refresh or try another browser. Happens to me too sometims and it seems worse in FireFox and better in Chrome.
Sorry about that, but nothing I can do, it's the free version of Wix and I'm already glad there is something I understand and can make pages with, but it is usually a temporary hiccup.

    ReplyDelete
  73. small-tool, I tried refresh, tried in Chrome, Internet Explorer same problem. I prefer Chrome to other browsers. Thanks for help, I'll try another browsers, if no then hope I'll be able to play your other games))

    ReplyDelete
  74. Arrie, W is a google level try to find info about names.

    ReplyDelete
  75. lvl U not getting anything legible, took the '' off the instructions, put them aside, tried adding what was left from '' to both , tried granny and rot what am I missing? a clearer push would help please.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Robin maybe you need another T

    ReplyDelete
  77. tried that too... messed around with them adding the leftover '' and adding what I took from the first to the second and visa versa .. I get S*****, from first and W*** I* S*** on the second.. don't know what step I am missing here....

    ReplyDelete
  78. Robin,
Basically the instructions say: delete 3 add 3

    ReplyDelete
  79. Maybe you didn't follow instructions it says abg vpr jvgu bhg

    ReplyDelete
  80. lvl W I'm getting nowhere with the papal names

    ReplyDelete
  81. Hotaru, frequently popes choose the same names

    ReplyDelete
  82. Hotaru look to the numbers now

    ReplyDelete
  83. Hotaru, it's about the numbers behind the names, not in front of them.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Thinking and thinking back and most of all overthinking but no idea for level Y. Can you please give a hint?

    ReplyDelete
  85. Hard-W is all about finding the correct wiki-page, and confusing numbers.
And an egg that tells you what you really need, lol.
    Thanks for the help.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Y is what it looks like it is, but in a format you can't use an online cipher/decoder without having to work (using the hints) for it.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Still no help on X I see. I've scrambled the letters on the page so many times now that I think my brain is scrambled too. Any hints?

    ReplyDelete
  88. there is only 1 true anagram use it in the equation

    ReplyDelete
  89. I must need another break... still not coming up with anything that works. I took out the 3 letters vpr and tried to replace with ynf mixing it up and just there, tried ynfgf as just a word and as picking letters.. am I over thinking?

    ReplyDelete
  90. Robin, there are 2 words that give instructions and 1 word to use them on (-3 and +3)

    ReplyDelete
  91. @robin Why vpr and ynf? You just use the letters under the pic.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Robin, the first negative tells you to take those letters out of the last word.
The second positive tells you what you should add to the last word.
Then glue them together. No anagram.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Mythos, that's code, using ROT13.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Robin the last word is the one you apply everything on.
The first two are the deleting and adding instructions.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Hard W- that is what I've been doing for hours, got the page, counted them, many ways but I only get nonsense letters
    I s*ck at google lvls

    ReplyDelete
  96. Pop got it, thanks everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Hard-W.
You have the wiki page with the papal-ones?
Just look behind the names for the numbers given on the level.
ftf + ana gives you an egg.

    ReplyDelete
  98. @mtatt I've done that more times than I can count. Should I get a word from the equation or do I still need to do something to it after?

    ReplyDelete
  99. but there are 10 with 7 after the name only which one is right? do i don't repeat there's no anagram

    ReplyDelete
  100. Mythos,
Do the maths to get a (gibberish)key.

    ReplyDelete
  101. @Hotaru many of them have 7 but only one of them stops at 7.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Hotaru, I fear you have a wrong page. There is only one with a 7 behind his name.
    perhaps google 'papal names'.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I first was on a 'popes' page. That was wrong. I repeat ... lol. wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  104. ok, I got the egg, I would never do it on my own without your help, I just suck at google, which doesn't work the same all over the world and it's not easy to find the same

    ReplyDelete
  105. yes, that's a pity... I'm glad you have the all important egg now.

    ReplyDelete
  106. So I did the math several ways and put what I got in a cipher using the four letter key, but I can't get anything meaningful to come out of it.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Mythos,
There is no 4 letter key!!! There is 4 letter gibberish.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I'm glad too, but sooo exhausted :D

    ReplyDelete
  109. yes, on X I understood what is the key.
and all of a sudden understood the title.
I was using another one of course .......
But ... what to do with the outcome of the 4 letter gibberish.
(I know I have to wait two more days to get a hint, so feel free to ignore me :-)).

    ReplyDelete
  110. Thanks, finally got a blue egg. I'll see what I can do from here.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Find a black egg too (with another word)

    ReplyDelete
  112. mythos, I have the black one.
    Shall we swap them?

    ReplyDelete
  113. OK, I've done the same with several different words now and came up with good words in the end, but none of them give eggs. This other word must be harder to find I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Or maybe it was just much simpler to find than the other one. Black egg now as well. lol

    ReplyDelete
  115. I think simpler, cause I still haven't found the blue one yet!

    ReplyDelete
  116. And no idea what to do with the black and blue eggs. lol

    ReplyDelete
  117. @arrie If you understand the title, then use that knowledge to change one of the words before doing what you did before.

    ReplyDelete
  118. miscalculated with one letter.
it doesn't work if you have a letter wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  119. aahh, I like sentences being phrased like that mythos. "to change before doing what you did before". love it.
(as long as I understand it of course).

    ReplyDelete
  120. Got it. On to Y. Thanks for the help everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Hard-Y.
before I start doing this by hand, do I have to read from right to left? Is that what the title is saying?

    ReplyDelete
  122. ah, yes, it is what we have to do.

    ReplyDelete
  123. got two eggs on hard X, do they refer back to the lvl?

    ReplyDelete
  124. I have to go for a while. On Z now. I'll be back to tackle it later.

    ReplyDelete
  125. on W am I adding up the roman numerals on the chart for and answer? cause it isn't working for me lol using the other numbers 6 8 5 12 doesn't work either, I have tried all the web sites and thought this one was it but not getting anywhere...

    ReplyDelete
  126. Robin ... noooo, don't add the roman numerals!

    ReplyDelete
  127. Hard-W.
If you found the correct wikipage (if you're not sure, please scroll up a little) look behind the names and find the numbers given on the level.
    Take those names.

    ReplyDelete
  128. good! so, if that's 'not allowed', then what is?

    ReplyDelete
  129. if anyone is around I need some help on hard X, have added everything I can see getting nothing, could someone tell me if I am close to adding properly..

    ReplyDelete
  130. Med-XIV: maths done, previous comments read and applied what you said before but cannot get something with sense.

    ReplyDelete
  131. eric, did you do the division? if so count the digits after the decimal and transform them to letters

    ReplyDelete
  132. @robin: oh man, once again, was overthinking it !

    ReplyDelete
  133. I have been doing that quite abit in this puzzle :)

    ReplyDelete
  134. @robin Your adding won't give you a word. It is a gibberish key to use on something else.

    ReplyDelete
  135. hard X still finally got the black egg but cant seem to find the infamous blue egg, please leave a hint when you can.

    ReplyDelete
  136. @robin Do the same thing you did before, but try rearranging first.

    ReplyDelete
  137. tried that rearranging both upper and lower not coming up with any thing useful

    ReplyDelete
  138. ok got both eggs... now to actually solve the it..mmmmm

    ReplyDelete
  139. don't understand what the eggs mean

    ReplyDelete
  140. Use what it says on the egg pages on the eggs themselves. You are done with the main page now.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I don't know what they mean especially the black egg... I don't understand it … am I looking for a sentence or phrase?

    ReplyDelete
  142. Well, not getting anywhere on Z and it's bedtime for me. Hopefully, there will be some hints by the time I wake up.

    ReplyDelete
  143. I still waiting that "pop" on two eggs for hard X,
    somehow, I guess it's simple...

    ReplyDelete
  144. Med XIX: read the previous comments but no idea on what to do. Tried several things but leads nowhere at all.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Eric, just find the V and read in shape of V, no anagram

    ReplyDelete
  146. @Hotaru: that's what I did but gives only gibberish... Must have done something wrong then.

    ReplyDelete
  147. well, it's not a very common word

    ReplyDelete
  148. Eric911, try a smaller V, top and bottom row are not used.
Hotaru, hint on black egg is tricky, look carefully at the number, it might not be the number you think it is.

    ReplyDelete
  149. @Hotaru/Dutchie: thought I found it...(starting with V*****) but no.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Eric "V" shape, so it's longer

    ReplyDelete
  151. Eric911, looks like you have the right part of the V, now continue with left part, read from right to left.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Absolutely clueless on AA, can I get a hint please?

    ReplyDelete
  153. I'm not sure how to start lvl Y, I tried to read backwards, tried firsts, lasts, also backwards and of course the cipher, but nothing legible so far

    ReplyDelete
  154. Y backwards is a good start then take it to a decoder
Z still trying to marry them all up

    ReplyDelete
  155. mtatt,I did, using many ciphers, but all the same gibberish

    ReplyDelete
  156. Hotaru, look for a solver named quipqiup.

    ReplyDelete
  157. need help with MED 12 egg

    ReplyDelete
  158. Colmkilm, try to use what got you the egg in a different way

    ReplyDelete
  159. lvl Z - I see one clue but what with what should I ... no idea
the riddles are getting really tought now, it's like climbing Matterhorn!

    ReplyDelete
  160. Hotaru, sounds like you have the right idea, I'd just start at the beginning and keep trying things

    ReplyDelete
  161. Hotaru, You are going great. Alas, I'm still climbing Smallhorn Med XVI , while you have graduated to scaling the Matterhorn. Good luck to us both.

    ReplyDelete
  162. good luck Clio!
do I need one for each one
found 15 but not the right ones

    ReplyDelete
  163. on Z do we match them all together or just line by line to see whats left? tried it both ways but not getting anything useful

    ReplyDelete
  164. closest I got to a word was 'snow rugby' but alas that didn't work.. :/

    ReplyDelete
  165. Z you need the title then do what 1st word 2nd line is hinting at

    ReplyDelete
  166. I did ftf on title, followed that and did what '1st word 2nd line' hinted at, trying to figure out what to visit her with, I tried 1s and 2s of all and of each line and not getting any where thought I was within earshot but nada

    ReplyDelete
  167. robin, how many words are in text?

    ReplyDelete
  168. Well, at least I have company for the stuck on Z party. lol. I have tried combining words and taking them both to granny, but there seems to be far too many possibilities here. Is this just a guess and check level?

    ReplyDelete
  169. words in text dutchie? i counted so i know the answer to that, just not sure how to apply it for an answer, i have lists of singles ands doubles and went to grams with both, all together and line by line but nothing, how do i add that step into the mix?

    ReplyDelete
  170. @ Mythos may use another one like Andy's Anagrammer

    ReplyDelete
  171. As you probably know small-tool never makes just a guess and check level!

    ReplyDelete
  172. robin, try it with 2 words.

    ReplyDelete
  173. hmm, still seems pretty guess and check to me. :(

    ReplyDelete
  174. But on to AA after trying many different pairings that also give good words.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Thanks for the help though. :)

    ReplyDelete
  176. wow, thanks never would have got that without help, way overthinking it, dissected it way too much :/ thank you again and onto AA

    ReplyDelete
  177. I think I don't understand what to do. I tried to ask granny for each word and than ftf and granny again. But there are more options for each word. So I don't actually understand what kind of "the things from the title" I should go for.

    ReplyDelete
  178. @Hotaru You need to find 8 words from granny.

    ReplyDelete
  179. Almost 1000 comments!

So new comments will be on the next page.

    ReplyDelete
  180. thanks, with that it was easy, but how should I know what to pair with what? is it hidden somewhere, or just a guess? if so, it is trial and error, cause you may think of many kind of pairs. but maybe I just can't see that clue

    ReplyDelete
  181. Still way long behind all of you. Now onto XXII, can only recognize the 6th, will have to google the others.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Yes, I also thought it was a bit trial and error to find the right pairs, but the correct way is a very simple method of pairing.

    ReplyDelete
  183. CONGRATS to the 1000th comment! \☺/\☻/\☺/
