got the clou for the 4 coloured donuts puzzle - the black disk with the four coloured segments - but never saw a hint for the colours order, so i bruteforced it. watched the wt afterwards but there is only shown "start with yellow and go clockwise", but not why. seems to be one of my most hated "try and error" puzzles - or does anyone have a better explanation?
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I can think of for the black disk was the different size of each color was a red herring. I guess they figured the solver would try clockwise and counterclockwise as possible solutions.
ReplyDeletehelmutbuchner83, I think there are some escape game conventions that are used and simply assumed to be the default answer if no clue is given.

is assumed to start at 1 and make a Z shape if no clue is given to say otherwise.
