I can understand you wanting to try new ideas, but sorry - don't like!
ReplyDeleteI agree. New ideas are fine, but for so many of the puzzles, there is no indication what to do. And we rely on familiarity in solving for a relaxing experience, instead of a random point and click. Maybe not so many new things all in one game?
ReplyDeleteAnd after reviewing the walk through 10 times and trying to get the basketball in the right place, I gave up.
ReplyDeleteI actually liked it, good-looking comfortable design. Puzzles were too simple, but relaxing. Is the game probably meant for little kids? I would like to encourage you to continue with that style, and add more interesting puzzles. The basketball was this time a ... flop (is that the right word?), but I liked that there were no dull "puzzles" à la "take the flower and put it in the flower-shaped hole in a far-way scene" like many escape games do.
ReplyDeleteBut there is one thing: don't release these under 8BGames name. 8BGames have their own distinctive design, and that's what makes them good and special. It's like with the music, let's say that you like Elvis Presley, his style and voice. He's like your own. And now imagine that Elvis released a new album where he sings like Freddie Mercury. You would be terrified, wouldn't you? Maybe Freddie sings better, but Elvis is Elvis, not Freddie, Elvis has to sing like Elvis does, then the audience is happy.

ReplyDeleteTo be honest, we tried something new with this game. I’ve always liked the style of Selfdefiant’s games, so I wanted to try something similar here. But I now see that many of our regular players didn’t enjoy it as much.
Also, running our website has become very difficult lately, After we lost our direct link from EscapeGames24, the number of people visiting our site dropped. That made it harder to reach our usual players, so we tried a new style to attract more people. Sadly, that didn’t work well for everyone.
