I'm not a fan of these new games. The movement doesn't sit well.

DeleteI wasn't sure about the way to move around. I considered WASD and mouse but a lot of players aren't fond of that either. I'm working on improving it. It's a process!
DeleteLikewise, I'm with Maroon.
Delete"Point, click, you're there" has always been the best navigation imo.
(My least favorite navigation is when a character is in a room and it walks to where you clicked, and in not much of a hurry.to get there).
While I'm whining, games involving dialog with the characters are usually created by frustrate novelists. I simply won't play them.
And while I'm on my soapbox, spooky games with darkened room are annoying. Hard to see does not = scary.
Having said that, I DO like to see game developers try new things. Many become so formulaic that you know what's coming before you get there, so kudos to SD for shaking things up a bit!
Took a bit of getting used to the movement but I liked this. Very atmospheric and creepy. I am looking forward to the next installment.
