That's a pretty fierce bee if he can scare the horns off of a deer!
If the game ends and the praying statue has both beetle and insect, that is a perfect clear, I believe.

Diana I cant give the statue the beetle or the insect i did give him the fish but he's not eating it...maybe my statue isnt as hungry as yours was

If you have both the beetle and the insect, then you can save the turtle. The end scene will show the statue with both :)

Well I've got one ending without using the insect or having it show up in the end sequence. I'm going to keep fiddling and see if I can come up with anything else

When you say "insect" do you mean the beetle, the silkworm, or something that is actually called insect?
I believe if you have both the insect and beetle in your inventory, you save the turtle, and the end scene shows the statue with both.

Well I'm not entirely sure how but I've got the illusive insect (and yes I do mean insect this time *g*)!
Apparently I wasn't that far wrong when I was talking about the other beetle though.

The insect is the very last thing that you get. If you save the turtle, BEFORE sending him into the ocean, take another look around.

Walkthrough:
-Turn right and pick up the big stone (1).
-Right again and pick up the rice ball from the stool and the big stone (2).
-Click the tree trunk and see something fall. Go into the grass and get the silkworm. Notice he is hungry.
-Shake the tree again and see a second item fall. Get the beetle of gold.
-Go left twice and put the silkworm on the leaves. Pick him back up and also get the sharp stone.
-Place the rice ball on the stool and then click the boulder blocking the path to reveal a hungry lion. Click the rice ball and he will eat it.
-Go forward through the new passage and get the big stone (3). Notice the 2 cats playing with the turtle shell.
-Go back and all the way right to the lake. Place the 3 big stones in the water and get the tree branch.
-Go left twice and use the tree branch on the honeycomb. Click the bee and get the deer horn.
-View the deer horn and use the sharp stone in it. Now you have a fish hook.
-View the silkworm and get the string.
-Combine the string to the tree branch and then add the fish hook. Now you have a fishing rod.
-Go back to the lake and use the fishing rod to catch a fish.
-Go left and place the fish on the stool next to the praying figure. Go back to the lake and catch another fish.
-Feed the fish to one of the cats playing with the turtle shell. Go back to the lake, catch another fish, and give it to the second cat.
-Click the turtle shell ONCE. Then go back to the grassy area where you got the beetle of gold and the silkworm. Pick up the insect of diamond.
-Now go back to the turtle shell and click twice to send him back home to the ocean!
(You get a not perfect clear if you save the turtle without getting the insect of diamond).
