Escape from the Manekineko Room is another Japanese point and click type escape the room game by Tesshi-e, who is also creator of Mild Escape, Escape from the Underground Room and Escape from the Forest of the Fairy, Ground Escape games and many more. on the cats finger there is a little pixel that changes colors when you click on it...idk why yet

you have to zoom in so you can see the nails better, then on the collar on the right hand side there should show two numbers, I believe we are coloring them the same as the open sign

Got key, ladder and screwdriver
is that silver thing a key, I thought it was a wrench or someting. Why cant we reach the plate with screws in the ceiling? Tried ladder
i wonder why the screwdriver won't open the plate near the roof?
now a little stuck, don't know what to do with those numbers...
so I tried to use the vaccumm behind the cat, thinking I would suck something up and be able to open it and get it. nada. poooo
i wonder if taking the nozzle off the vaccy means much?

OK Got green key, no idea what I got out of the locker.
i pushed something in the back of that green thing and put it back into that panel... was that right? hmmm
i thought the green thing out of the locker went back in the grate thing above the cat... it won't work :(

mina I did the same, I thought it was like maybe peeling tape off or something I have to vaccumm to on, still dont know what to do with it. The on switch is on top of it.

with the lights on, the last digit is 5... with the lights off the 5 turns into a 2 and there is another 2 before that..
found a knife in the second locker towards the top. used it on the orange and green thing and uncovered a washing machine with a key inside it.
there's still something in the locker where the green thing came from at the inside top

i had the second door i think open on the lockers and then tried the last door and it opened without a key and there was like a brown wall clicked on it and it said congrats on escape

ok so i got the key out of the rope, used on box, got code, opened closet and got coin...now what
i think thats a bug jenna cause it won't work for me. got the machine next to the cat open but don't know what to do with it. Pull the lever and the lil platform goes doen. rope won't attatch

coin is in closet where the vaccuum was, closed doors, put in new code from machine, got coin. weird.

the grey ring in that box looks like we should be able to put the rope thread, but i must be missing something that's prob. behind the last closet door...

and if you click down by the cats right foot you can look behind it but I have yet to figure out why, I have tried the vaccuum, the knife.
the last closet opened for me... but nothing was in there? I think I used the knife on it... the cat's coin it's holding turned for me when i changed the nail color

you can look on both the r & l sides of the cat by the floor, i tried the vac, knife etc too:) nuthin!

okay, I've tried all combinations of numbers i see when light is off and on, and switch is flipped or not. None of them make the closet open....or is that what I'm trying to do? Help! What'd I miss?
ok, the coin he was holding turned but I still cant get the thing opened.
Change the color of the nails back to red once you have moved the "coin" and you can move the "coin" again
what does that hint mean on left top side of the lockers?
no the last one will not open, I am about to go to the garage and get a crow bar.

ok, change the nails to all red, click on the coin he is holding and it is gone. Now we have a bellybutton or something
Once you move the coin and push the button on its stomach the side views of the cat and the tool will make sense

You can open the last closet door after you close the first and third door, I didn't find anything in their though

once you get the coin the cat is holding to move turn the nails back red and click the coin again it falls off and you can click the button on its stomach and then look to the left and right of the cat then the tool will come in handy and the rope and pulley and then tie rope to cats ear where the tool came from
OK! Click the bellybutton, turn green, look on each side of the cat. Remove bolts!!

turn the nails to bggb then click the coin he is holding then turn them all back to red and click it again. to get the happy coin out of the closet turn the light off and look at the box next to cat. it has 2 2. turn machine on and turn off light and you see 55 put those together 2552 adn put into closet and click doors

you get a small silver wrecnh from the cats left ear when you are zoomed into the nails and collar area just click upper left corner and it will move up

The tool is on the back of the ear of the cat, it's a wrench

I'm out! Woo-Hoo. Once you get the cat on the pulley the key is under him and you have to use the vacuum to get the key.

make sure vaccuum is on by clicking the top of it in item view then when you use it to get key you have to get key out of end of it.
To lift the cat you have to attach the rope to the ear where you found the wrench
after you put rope on pulley click on top left of cat too look where you got wrench and attach roope, then you have to attach it to the machine little loop. The switch the machine lever over.

Michelle - zoom into the cats nails area, then click the upper left hand side of cat. You should go behind cat where you got wrench, then click on the metal loop or rope (cant remember which) to get it to tie on there.

Okay, since no one has explained this part yet. How do you get the lockers (other than the first one) open so that you can get the knife, rope, etc.?

I just want to know one thing....in the beginning of the game, where is this ladder that everyone was talking about? I've looked everywhere.
It was a bit frustrating but I'll take this game over pixel anal type PNC games anyday!

closet ending:
after u open three closets
--close 1,3 and open 2,4
--let closet 2 open and close/open closet 4 for 5 times ..there is a way to get out of the room
(you get the hint from the box by the cat)

you can see the colors match the closets when they are 1,3 closed 2,4 open and there is also number 5 on the last space of the box
i think that means we have to open and close the last closet 5 times

out! nobody tells you what to do. but i will tell. to tie the pully, you need to put the two golden bolts and screw them in with the tool. then click on the left of the machine and the rope will attach. for the cat, click on the ear and then the rope.

you have to look at the pulley and push the thing in the bottom before you can attach it.
WALKTHROUGH
START
Look at left upper side of lockers. Note bggb nails and all red.
Right. Look right of box. Note 73.
Right. Clck right nostrils of cat and take wrench from the hook.
Clock right hand of cat and paint the nails bggb, than click the medaillon, paint rrrr and click medaillon. Now click the belly point to make it green. Back. Click both sides of cat and use wrench.
Turn the cats nails green and see the number 82.The code for the closet with numbers is 7382. Take Vaccleaner.
Highlight cleaner and search to put him on, and take from the backside the key for the first locker. You'll find a ladder. Put ladder at the right side of lockers and take screwdriver.
Take ladder with to the cat. Place ladder behind cat, climb up and use screwdriver on plate to get the key for the second locker.
Open locker 2 and get pulley. Highlight it and remove protection from the back. Now you can place it above cat.Put the bolts in it and squeese them with the wrench.
Open locker 4 by only opening locker 2 and than open locker 4 to get NOTHING. In the top of locker2 there is a knife.With the knife open the present and get key for locker 3. Get rope, highlight the rope and in the bach there is a KEY.
With screwdriver open box next cat. Put light out and return, see 2..2. Put the Key on the box. Pull handle , lights out, return and see .55. . New code for closet. With the code get coin.
Back to pulley and put rope. Back put rope on hook of box and on hook of cat. Pull the handle and thr cat is lifted so you can see in the hole a key.
At the left side of the washingmachine is a tube, put it on the vacuum and use vacuum on the hole under cat to hoover the key. Look at the back of the vacuum and get key.
Use the key on the door and the cat is away with your GOLDEN coin.
How the hell do you click the right nostril of the cat you can hardley see his nostrils let alone click them?

I don't get the nostril thing either...
I tried several times but i still can't make the closet end...what does it mean by 5 times? is it opening the 4th closet 5 times? or should it be open-close-open-close-open?

Two things. I never did see the #82, after turning the cat's nails green. Where was that? Also, I could never open the 4th locker. Thank goodness there wasn't anything in there anyway. LOL
I had a little trouble with the "nostril" thing, but finally got it. It pointed me in the right direction. :-)
Paul, not sure if this is what you mean, but the last closet (not the lockers) code is 2552. The closet is the one you opened to get the vacuum cleaner.
