Well, I just caught up, thanks to hints, but stuck again. Got the battery.
There's a tiny spot in big drawer under mirror. Maybe we need to insert something there to open a secret compartment? Pen doesn't work, though...

Looks like the bottle is still usable and now says MUR on it (rum backwards, I know). There are a lot of places to zoom in on, but still now sure how to use what I have in inventory.
i think i had the razor blade selected, not sure if that matters. it wasn't there the first time i checked but when i went back and clicked it was right beside the pillow

put the yellow ring on the pen, click it a few times and it comes apart.

use the bent pen inside to open drawer with that little hole in it, get some book
you can pour the bottle on that red thing form the sink

book gives code for two button thingy by door. L3, R2, L1, R4. it says OK, but not sure for what yet
make sure you take the pen apart first by putting the yellow ring on it. then put the inside of the pen in the white machine.
then get key forme ashes
after you get the OK, click the bottom of the same screen to open the compartment and get the case for the razor blade. assuming that will get us the flashlight

The code isn't working for me. I can get to the last click on the right side and I get an error
Use bent ink cartridge on little hole in drawer of vanity and there is another book with more code in it.

still can't get the damn flashlight untied though, blade is useless so far
you can't see the hole in the side of the white thing until you pen goes in, then it gives you a new view.
@michele-with-pug, put inside of pen to right side of rice cooker and close the cooker by pressing the button on its front.
We need a light bulb for the torch and maybe another battery?

How to plug in Doc (Hi btw)
For the flashlight bulb, plug in the picture, look at it, then unplug it and the bulb will be where the shine was.

For Rice cooker, helps if you aim for black right hinge in front, took me meny tries. My blade is going into piggy bank yet either.

Now I have a confusing array of cheerleaders (like the ones in the book) after viewing the inside of the large cabinet.
Doc, thanks for light bulb tip! Got a key from wardrobe and opened the desk drawer to get a red card.
To use the blade, put it into the piggy bank in right drawer of desk, then the useless tip breaks off and you can use the blade to get torch.
you don't need the computer
hannah - it's only visible when plugged in, note where the bright light is, then unplug it and click where the light was, almost in the middle of the picture. also got a key from the top left corner of the dark cabinet when using the assembled flashlight

maybe i need to do something else first before the game allows me to bend the pen. i have pen parts, battery, key used, bottle, lighter & ashtray used, blades. anyone else have more than that when their pen bent?

Used Flashlight inside big cabinet with light on and off and got nothing but a big white light.
computer seems to be a red herring, possibly a second ending, but nothing is in english so as far as i'm concerned we got the good ending

use flashlight in top left corner of cabinet, get key for desk drawer which contains red key card, use on front door and out. all the symbols were useless as far as i can tell

i didn't use the computer.
i got the key from the cupboard which unlocked the desk drawer. there was a red card there and that let me out.
Okay, just went back and did the cabinet again and this time there was a whole lot of of the cheerleaders when the lights were off. Sorta scared me. LOL.
Out with help from you all! Didn't use the computer at all though... could there be multiple endings?

@michele-with-pug, maybe you need to see the tiny hole in the drawer of mirror desk? Try clicking the hole first.
@tangoboy, first you need the hilt for blade. Assemble them and use it in piggy bank.

Michele-with-pug, with the lid of the rice cooker up, try clicking right beside the hinge on the right hand side. It's not easy to find the right spot. I tried a few times and finally the pen just showed up on the cooker.
Feline...look in wardrobe above the figures for the key...
i think Doc is right, we did the non-japanese reading/writing version by skipping the pc.

I am out, thanks to everyone's hints. The reason the code wouldn't work for me is I didn't turn all the pages in the book.
All I could think of at the end was that the bottle was still available with the MUR on it. Maybe the code for the computer was Redrum. LOL.

@michele-with-pug, I restarted and the cooker only accepted my pen part after I tried to use the unbended pen part in the drawer hole.

@michele-with-pug, first check the hint in book in secret compartment, then press Enter on coat hook to be able to input the code:

michele-with-pug, the code will only work, after you have looked at all the pages of the book in the drawer of the little vanity, before you can do the coat hook buttons. The code is L3, R2, L1, R4.

I think it's a very smart thing, annoying sometimes, but smart, that you can only do certain things after you try others first.
I mean, if you don't try to use the unbended pen in hole first, how can you know it requires a little bending?
But the language barrier doesn't allow most of us to realize that...
Max, be forewarned, you have to do things in a specific order with some things.

feline, I think the language barrier might have led us all to end the game, before we should have. ;-) I still think the little guys are part of the code for the computer, and why was the bottle still available to use, at the end? Hopefully they'll come out with an English version sometime soon.

Max, plug the star board, notice where there's a brighter star, unplug the star board and click where the brighter star was.

No still in, working on pc and cheerleader symbols. Only a couple symbols match with the ones in the book. The 2nd and 5th match with flower symbol.
No prob, I was the rice cooker was taking me a while too, so I noe how it feels.

Hmmm... I tried to follow backwards and use "red" and "rum" backwards, which led me to "dermur" and then to "murder", but those are not the code... Could be, since once you get out "murder" is spelled on the screen, but it's not the code.

@ Michele, all the way close up of mirror in middle. not dresser view, mostly mirror view. Never got curtains to fall down, but either way reflection didn't change for me open or closed. Did anyone get curtains to fall? beside Hannah. and where to click exactly.
for the code on the computer with the cheerleaders, I wonder if that's what the closet one is for (after you get the key) maybe use the first letter of the pic?

ahhh got it. and then click the bottle and it gave me close up view of MUR..so i think definitely that's part of the computer code...anyway very late for me here so going to sleep will keep the game up and not exit with card until tomorrow so i can work on the code.
