       Anonymous  12/20/11, 12:28 AM

hmmm, kinda stuck

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 12:30 AM

daf,
where exactly is stick on bed?

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 12:31 AM

hi & thx bigtank,
how did you open hourglass?

hi all,

>I appreciate all the hints and tips, but...

not to be unpolite, but spoiling and telling right from the beginning is disappointing premiere.

well i guess you mean it nice and helpful, but it takes away the fun if you post right from the beginning an instruction.

Dont misunderstand me, but its just my opinion. ;)

great finding premiere! put sand on it and use brush, than out!!got cold end..

move the blancket and you see the stick - brownish as the bed

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 12:33 AM

well, sue,
then you seem to be on of the escapers, who study the comments intensely before playing the game...?
;-)

battery and button on clock gives key

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 12:35 AM

thx, daf,
got it now, was distracted by blanket lifting, LOL!

does anyone understand the snowmen?

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 12:37 AM

- BATTERY left of desk (use stick from bed)

if i am stuck i try to find hints, but as i said, it takes the fun if there is already a complete instruction where to find what and how to use it and what to do next

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 12:40 AM

sue,
IMHO, I prefer that way, than that pple post: «I found this & that, without saying where or how...»
:-)

yes use the hint in the book and the snowmen for the cupboard. not that i have managed to open it yet mugglehead

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 12:41 AM

daf,
how did you open hourglass?

sorry piece of paper not book

never opened the suitcase

with the bottle opener premier

green color didn't work

key from clock opens drawer- there you have something for the opening of hourglass

@mugglehead use the numbers at the top of the paper too

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 12:45 AM

thx, bigtank,
now have to find bottle opener first, LOL...

Btw (speaking of suitcase): there are 3 possible endings...

ok good luck i have to go to work

use the green one but use the arrow side!!!

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 12:49 AM

thx, daf,
put battery in clock & clicked set button, but no key (yet) - what am I missing?

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 12:49 AM

CU, bigtank & thx again!
:-)

have card, but need suitcase key too

turn clock around Premiere

put red button on set ..

@Sue, I'd like to say that I do like Premiere's way of commenting...I'm playing until I get stuck, look up the comments to get unstuck, am very happy when I find them, and just continue playing until I get stuck again, etc. It's like Premiere says: a whole lot better than having to read: found this, got that, without mentioning where or how...and having to wait for a walkthrough which sometimes never comes at all...

So for me, it adds to the fun...but that's my opinion...

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 1:06 AM

ah, daf,
completely forgot about that darn red button, LOL!
(even replayed, if it was a bug, booo!)
;-D
Now the show goes on, LOL!

Two things (negative, obviously)

- SAVE does not work! I can save, but I can't LOAD a game previously saved!
(Or I'm too stupid to do it)

- LINK does not work! (...hint_g.html).

No matter how good this game is (going to be), this will be a 4 star rating! I just won't accept non-working URLs in a game whose author insists on an external hint URL in his game(s)!

got suitcase open, key was in window

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 1:10 AM

Drat! We even don't have to go to another site, it's all in the game PC!
(but still don't like it, if we have to...)
:-P

u don`t need the url adress, when you have the passwords for computer, you get this fake adress on the "fake" computer...

did 2 endings, loved it!!!

no, you don't go anywhere else put this page, Premiere. And thank you for your help. I always look for your postings when I get stuck!!

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 1:15 AM

Finally out with COLD END, brrr!
;-)
Now looking for the 2 other endings...

hi, arbeitslooser,
saving worked for me... (conclusion? ;-D)

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 1:20 AM

Abracadabra, suddenly a KEY on windowsill...!
& the MAGIC PILL, @GuruOne spoke about...
(open SUITCASE with key)
- exit with pills for SANTA CLAUS END

Btw: Have a look at the cute & funny cat's photos (red triangle on end screen)...!
:-D

if you find third ending ,please post it. I'm pooped at 3:30 in the morning.

@premiere: no foul jokes please! ;p

How can you LOAD a saved game?
Wait...is the save option only for obtaining the different endings? (or after you die)

For example, my browser crashed (happens frequently with this proprietary Flash crap, hope HTML5 will get its breakthrough next year!!) and there was nowhere any option to RESTORE my saved game - had to start over from the beginning.

Sorry for my rudeness about the address, I really tried out at least 4 variants (from 'hotel_eve' base address (maybe folder got moved and URL wasn't correctly adapted?), by reading the 'g' as a '9' etc.
3 minutes of my precious time wasted for NOTHING!
This is what drove me a bit mad.

can't find key anywhere, is it in the view with the bed or with the pc???

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 1:31 AM

Nope, arbeitslooser,
for me just clicking LOAD to get back in saved game worked for me even in middle of the game (restarted in the meaning, that I had a bug...). But my browser didn't crash...

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 1:34 AM

Ikke,
key for DRAWER: put battery in clock, put red button on set, push & turn clock
key for SUITCASE: on windowsill right of BED (pull curtains - you may first go out with first ending & replay & load saved game to see it there...?)

@premiere
That's my very problem, I don't SEE any "LOAD".
- not on the intro screen where you can choose English or Japanese
- not in-game

NOWHERE.

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 1:45 AM

I enjoyed this game - and valued the help from premiere. No-one HAS to look for help here, but if they do then it's good to find it :o) I find it more irritating when I only find -found thi, found that, and out' and no further help. If you miss live playing and there is no-one here to help it's most frustrating.

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 1:46 AM

Well, gotta go, didn't find 3rd ending (yet) - even tried to put magic pill in water to take a (therapeutic) bath, LOL!

(And again, I am aware that you can load your game after one of the endings, but you said you could load in the MIDDLE of the game! Just at a random spot. That's what I want to know, how to accomplish that.)

Stuck with the clock. Put Battery, pushed the button and nothing happens.

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 1:49 AM

arbeitslooser, I just tried again - the 'load' option came up after I had started, taken the clock (just as a trial), saved, and came out of the game and went back. Load option wasn't there on the first screen.
Playing in FF if it makes any difference.

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 1:50 AM

Stessy, look at the bottom of the clock - a key should appear. You might have to click the front of the clock again.

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 1:50 AM

arbeitslooser,
that's really strange, 'cause there should be LOAD to click in the screen you mentionned...
(did you play in the direct link above?)
Maybe some ghosts from Ebenezer Scrooge...?
;-)

@MaryD thanks, yes I'm in FF as well.
Again, ONCE the load option appears, where in the game screen is it?
Maybe I've just got my blind day today. :P

@MaryD I didn't have the red button. :-( That's the reason why I couldn't get the key.

Thx for your help.

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 2:04 AM

Arbeitslooser, after the chocho-chai screen has loaded, it all goes black - I pressed 'skip' and there is the PLAY and a big script LOAD beneath it. You would have to be having a really blind day if you miss it. Strange that you don't have it.

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 2:05 AM

arbeitslooser,
my start screen after entering game & saving:
(click right to open link in a new tab)

START SCREEN

:-)

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 2:06 AM

Ooops sorry just checked again - no PLAY, after save, just the LOAD option. But my game saved - it did say 'save successful' when I saved it.

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 2:06 AM

& reloading...

Yes it always said "save successful" here ;)
But that didn't always mean that I could GET to my saved game ;)
I knew that it was safely saved away, just not how to get back to where I was ;)

NOW it works, but not until the "cold" ending was initiating! (But I knew it would work. Though it should work WITHOUT ever reaching the ending. Just -open browser-start game-play a bit-SAVE-leave page-and LOAD the game. This sequence never worked until I reached one of the endings. I don't think that's how it's supposed to be like...

BTW, I'm still struggling with that effin' suitcase key. Window sill right of bed? I feel to have at least open-closed the curtains 150 times now, and clicked on every 1/10 inch but - simply no key.

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 2:25 AM

I never found that key either, and had to do some work. But I shall return to try again. My save worked wherever I tried it during the game, and load returned me to the right spot. You have gremlins!

@MaryD
Well, the game might rely on some cookies, which are set in a bit restricted fashion---for various reasons. It's a bit complicated: in short, there are session cookies and non-session cookies. USUALLY it is sufficient to just accept session cookies, but some web stuff might demand more...(to spy me out a bit more effectively :P)

AHHH success!! People don't go pulling out your hair: it must be NIGHT to see the suitcase key!

You can't see it in DAY, that's why I could have tried in vain for another 3 hours!
ATTENTION: You might have to save-reload TWICE, just as I had to here!

First when I got out with "cold" ending, it was STILL day when I returned.
But second time, when I got out with "cold" ending again, it was NIGHT.
And the key was there.

Nifty stuff!!!

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 2:37 AM

arbeitslooser,
you have my sympathy...!
:-)
Cit.:
«Just -open browser-start game-play a bit-SAVE-leave page-and LOAD the game.»
--> for me it worked (playing in FF, too)...

& I had the KEY on windowsill after opening door with KEYCARD from HANDLE CB with star & before going out:
(click right to open link in a new tab)

KEY IS HERE

Just popped in because I got the cold end
and still have an unopened suitcase,
how do you get the key for the suitcase?

Btw, I hate; "I have" posters :p

Yes I found it too now. ;)
And just read above what I wrote. It is *possible* that you go out with "cold ending", replay, and it is NOT yet night!
(And you can't see the key when it's day)
Might be randomized situation, though, but not impossible. That's why some far above complained they found no key (including myself)

Pls., how to fin a hint for ID, for computer

POP, had curtains closed used key card,
went back and opened the curtains and there
was the key...a santa costume!

Now I got 'Buy the cake end' lol

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 2:55 AM

Zoran,
ID: Pull out green tape from left side of book on table & look at tape (read backwards).
:-)

@Zoran ID and password are in two parts.

ID:
(hint) find some small piece of duct tape that actually does not belong there

PW:
(hint) think of the paper you use to get stain off iron ;) you will need a similar method to get the PW. Knock on WOOD that you will make it! ;)

I am stuck at the same place as last time....no hints for white safe and comp....

And finally the 'Santa Claus' end :0

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 2:58 AM

KatesKat,
that seems to be the 3rd ending, plz share...
:-)

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 2:58 AM

the buy the cake one...

Magic juice in suit case gives third end!

@Zoran

OK, two hints for you :)

ID: find a small piece of duct tape at a spot where it actually does not belong there.

PW: think of the special paper used to get stain off iron :) Just that it is poor WOOD you do that to here...
When they fried an egg, way before digital age, what did they use to find out about when the 4 minutes were over? ;)

Thanks @arbeitslooser , I never use green paper :)

First end, go out using key card.

Second end, use key card but go back and open curtains
get key, open suit case, go out.

Third end, find magic juice in suit case and go out.

stuck with the snowmen...
how to open cupboard with that?

premiere, will you write a walk-through, it deserves one!

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 3:15 AM

thx, Morgan!
:-)

aL3xaNdRa,
- hint on paper from chair: use snowmen from GREEN star & order of numbers
- take LEFT or RIGHT CLOSED EYE of each numbered snowman & put them in order
- click left or right handles of cb according eye code you found & click star on cb to open it
:-)
Spoiler below:

Morgan,
unfortunately, I have to go now (family business till the evening), so I can't make a WT just right now...
But if you want to, make it so!
;-D
(You can use my comments above, it's OK for me)

This comment has been removed by the author.

premiere,
I will not step into those shoes right now ;)

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 3:28 AM

Too buggy for me, I saved and load again and again I still don't have any key for the suitcase. I am out. (Had every code except that damned key)

Premiere, I love that you write all the hints as you go. As I'm a lousy escape artist, I rely very much on the what, where and how to use it, you give.
Thank you.

       Anonymous  12/20/11, 3:48 AM

Ok if someone don't understand for the suitcase key you have to find it at the very end after open the door with the card key. You don't need to save and quit and load again as it said previously. Done ! :)

Of course NO! That's why I had said "save, replay and reload".
Otherwise I would have said "save, quit and reload".
As that's obviously something else ;) For Christ's sake, no, do NOT quit the game, otherwise you might be trying until the next decade! =)

Star hint
Combine the paper hint
2 4 1 6 5 3
with the green starhint on comp
=> R L L R L R
It gives the door card

For the key of the suitcase you don't have to exit immediately. after you use the key-card, don't open the door and turn twice on the right and it's night!!

Star hint
Combine the paper hint
2 4 1 6 5 3
with the green starhint on comp
=> R L L R L R
It gives the door card

I didn't reload for the 2nd or 3rd endings. All you have to do is to go back after inserting the key card, get the key from window sill, open the suitcase and get magic pill. That's when you get out.
