i cheated - use the red, green and yellow gems according to the 3 objects in the bookcase

Make the 3 colours from the first room using the machine. Place on the other box leaving a gap on position 2 and 4. Press red button and this will get you the blue canister.

I played around with the 4 gems and got the key

All I have is a green gem that can go in any of several places and nothing else. Don't know how to proceed.

Extremely quick but enjoyable.
Looks like so many new developers with lots of potential are showing up these days!

I was young when there were no computers or RGB around, so understandably it's quite difficult for me to accept that red and green make yellow, they made brown when I took colors from the tubes when painted. Also in CMYK they make brown, but in RGB they make yellow indeed. It's time for me to get used to that.

Fantastic. Just because you can't zoom into something doesn't mean it isn't a clue. 5 stars!

Can't play. The game keeps freezing up my computer. Not sure if it has anything to do with a Java update that my computer did this morning, but it's kind of a bummer, regardless.

Good puzzle BUT a LOT of RAM and made me motion sick.
