ReplyDeleteI've played a similar game before and now I've just remembered its name, "Chicks on the run"... and it wasn't this hard... it isn't at all once you get familiar with the "rules".
ReplyDeleteHere I've tried and tried for a long while now and I think I can venture to say the game is broken.
I agree with Edgar, I would be happy to see someone solving the last level since it seems to be impossible. It's like a slider puzzle, and there is no solution to when two adjacent tiles/dots need to change place with each other.

The Puzzle Room series have been one of the best ever I've known, and in my opinion they have become a classic... I see Games2Rule as a serious and respectable games producer to ever think you're toying with us fixing a game that is not yet fixed at all.
It's really sad to realize one of the best games makers out there is carelessly releasing unsolvable games... twice in a row.
I really hope your third try is the last and definitive one.
And an apology to all the players for the wasted time spent trying to solve the unsolvable would be very appropriate I think.

ReplyDeleteYep, fairly sure this is unsovlvable.
ReplyDeleteIf you look at the shape of the paths, it makes like a figure of eight, plus a line from the top to bottom of the eight (hope that makes sense - try drawing it with the same colours joined up, but red and grey at opposite ends.) So it's possible to cycle the dots around the eight, or two skip two places in the cycle.
From the base colours, we are trying to get a sequence of Blue-Brown-Red-Green-Yellow, and the dots start as blue-yellow-brown-red-green. So using yellow as an example, by skipping two places it's only possible to have it at two places in the cycle - the one stated above between blue and brown, and also between red and green. So it's impossible to have it between green and blue, as required to solve the puzzle. QED bitches ;p (sorry this is badly explained, it's just how I think about it! spent so freaking long trying to solve this, just thought I'd share what I got)
