Well, this just popped up...let's gooooo....
ReplyDeleteand loading :) My first live today, yay!
ReplyDeleteI'm collecting stuff but don't see them anywhere!
ReplyDeleteI keep gathering things, not that many , but where are they????
ReplyDeleteLOL @edgar...what do we do here?
ReplyDeleteI anyone can figure out this thing, you can..@edgar...and somebody already gave it 5 stars...
ReplyDeleteLots of number and letter clues, and some blobs that vanish when you 'get' them - so far I am baffled and suspect I will remain so until someone clever comes along.
ReplyDeleteCeaser cypher password is not working
ReplyDeleteI too have collected things I cant see, and the password doesnt work...
ReplyDeleteCan anyone read something blue along the bottom of the window - is it significant? (Not that it will help me if it is, already have too many letters and things LOL)
ReplyDeleteUsing Caesar cypher I came up with word POTATOE, but not working anywhere
ReplyDeleteAhh, new avatar @edgar...funny, I like it!
ReplyDeleteHi @ maryD and @Saima
I have one number from the 2nd in the book, and the 3 from the trashcan, nowhere to put them, and need another one.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had the balls i picked up to use on the boxes, and i wish potatoe would do something.
I suspect some of the answers are in the grid on the jigsaw in the waste basket.. but brain died on me. And what do the letters under the blue picture have to do with caesar?
ReplyDeleteIt all goes over my head...not a clue!!!!
ReplyDeletedoes ihmtmhx mean anything to anyone here?
ReplyDeletejust starting!
ReplyDelete@pinky4eva, POTATOE is Dan Quayle's spelling of potato, lol
lol, nokra, thanks for the voye of confidence, but... ooops.
ReplyDeleteI'm working on the Caesar cypher but... oops again!
I remember on game with one of these, and Xenon explained it, but it seemes to be different shifting metods :(
@MaryD, caesar cipher is when you move the letters in the alphabet to make a word. when a=t you get the word potatoe from ihmtmhx.
ReplyDeleteTry this link:
Caesar cipher solver
hi all, deciphered the clue as "potatoe" as well, and it's not working for me either. bug?
ReplyDeletemaybe ihmtmhx is part of that coding that Xenon solved not long ago. but I can't remember what it's called.
ReplyDelete@Edgar, going to sit back hopefully and wait for you to figure it out .... we have complete faith in you!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck everyone, but I will sit back and watch from here...LOL
ReplyDelete@MaryD, and if you use the clue in the book like on the puzzle in the trashbin (make another grid like that and color the squares like it tells you: row a = color them all, row b= color 1st and 5th and so on) you get number 0 from that clue.
ReplyDeleteAh thank you, Ellie! Goes to show that playing these games is educational :o) - I've been trying to think up an excuse LOL.
ReplyDelete@MaryD... of course it is educational!! I learn new things from almost every game so it is defenitely an excuse good enough to keep playing :)
ReplyDeleteThanks @Sonia!!! I finally got to keep that yellow ball :)
ReplyDeleteNow i have two keys (from using balls on boxes) and a printed blue square (using password on computer).
ReplyDeleteUsed yellow stick to get the purple box (but it is still on top of that cabinet as well lol).
ReplyDeleteArghhhh, I'm missing playing!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hints and help... rushing to catch up now.
How do you get to keep things? @ellie
ReplyDeleteWhere to use the green key?
ReplyDeleteUsed the green keys on the small cabinet to get another sheet of paper, and another ball.
ReplyDeleteHave four numbers now.
oh, make that 2 green keys, lol.
ReplyDeleteok, starting over with Sonia's link (i was way behind you all anyway, lol)
ReplyDeleteI'm out, but strangely enough I found two different numbers for the third number of the last code and of course only one worked.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, thanks Sonia for the correct link.
3rd number is 8.
ReplyDeleteNoooo
ReplyDeleteI missed the orb from the cabinet when i used the other key!
@nokra, I use the other link for the game, posted by Sonia. It works there.
ReplyDeleteNow, I see, it is a bug...went to site from @sonia...ty
ReplyDelete4th is 6.
ReplyDelete@small-tool, I think that the number in the trashcan was only to show that it is possible to make numbers.
ReplyDeleteI'm not so smart but I knew I couldn't be that dumb as to not get this very cryptic game where nothing worked...LOL
ReplyDeletewow, restarted and escaped already.
ReplyDeletehahaha, i think I've never played a game this fast!
Out at last! Thanks Sonia, way too much time being wasted around the globe by us lot trying to play a game that would never work. Not very well done game, by someone who can't spell 'spud'!
ReplyDeleteyep, number in trash bin was only the example on how to get the numbers out of the grids.
ReplyDelete5086
ReplyDeletechewing someone else's food? ;)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't be bothered...I used the code and I don't even care why it worked...ha ha ha ha
ReplyDeleteI think I expected more from that game. For example, what was the imhtmhx for?
ReplyDeleteAnd what about the writing on the window sill that you couldn't quite read?
@zoz, the imhtmhx gave you the password to the computer (using caesar cipher) so that one was necessary. The writing on the window sill wasn't.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I too expected a bit more from it. I'm almost glad that we had to spend some extra time in there before we got the right link lol.
So I wasted my time playing the wrong link and figuring what can I possibly be missing. Got the right one and stormed though game in less than 5.. figures.. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks @Sonia for the correct link.
By the way, though it's not important but still; people could be confused, it's not:
ReplyDeleteimhtmhx but,
ihmtmhx and,
yes you used for the pc (together with the T = 19 lines).
ok, i replayed and did it using POTATOE for the computer. The first time through I put 5036 in the computer, clicked "submit" then went to the pad by the door and "5036" was already there, i just clicked the blue button.
ReplyDeleteWonky.
lol @zoz... but you wouldnt know to put 5036 there if you didnt use potatoe first (to get the paper with a hint for one number).
ReplyDeletehope im not too late will try this without looking at comments
ReplyDelete@Valantine, I think you should look at at least one comment before you play: the one from Sonia at 21:44.
ReplyDeleteLOL @ellie...I wonder how long valantine played the disappearing items game...
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteSo, did the door code work with 5036 as well and not only with the 5086 we were supposed to use? LOL, I have to see that!
ReplyDeletehm nope, wonder how it worked of it did.
ReplyDeletemaybe a bug that's been fixed by now.
Ok...this isn't live anymore, is it?
ReplyDeleteNot like that's stopped me from playing. :)
Here I go!
@Edgar, I think it is just zoz that keeps writing the wrong letters and numbers, and I write the same mistakes in the following posts. Kind of a cooperation to make people confused (since it was an easy game anyway).
ReplyDeleteI'm bowing out. This game sucks.
ReplyDelete@Ellie, you're right! I can never get anything straight so i just end up being confusing. I should just stop trying to write letter or number codes!
ReplyDeleteNo, please don't stop @zoz! We like being confused, that's why we play in the first place (isn't it?). I just had to laugh at myself writing the exact same mistakes as you twice (I totally trust whatever you say lol).
ReplyDeleteI didn't have time to go back and try the correct link - but I enjoyed all the comments and the 'special number challenge' set by our kind gang of contributors here LOL. Keep them coming - let's spice up the ever-increasing number of boring games by misleading innocents...!
ReplyDeleteWalkthrough
ReplyDeleteFirst use the link to the game that you can pick up the objects.
Thanks to Sonia for that.
http://gamesso.webs.com/
Click the Play link and you go to kongregate's site
There were still a few bugs, as I played again to do the walkthrough, I didn't look at the blue sheets as I collected them, I was going to do it at the end but when I did that 2 had disappeared from my inventory. So look at the blue sheets as you pick them up.
Also, after the purple box was picked up, it was still on the top of the cabinet.
Cabinet and picture view.
Click on purple box, you can't take it.
Move the picture and see Computer clue 1: ihmtmhx
Go right.
Move plant and take orange/yellow orb.
Click on books on bookshelf and see clue for 2nd number of exit code.
Go right.
Move left cushion and take pink/green orb.
Go right.
Click on curtains and take orange stick.
Move green and red cushions and see Computer clue 2: T(19 lines)
Go right and see computer needs a code.
Combine ihmtmhx & T(19 lines) to get code(yes the word is spelt incorrectly).
Solution in next post.
Click submit, then click the picture of printer.
Take the blue sheet out of printer. This gives you the 3rd number of the exit code.
Zoom in on green box under table.
Put pink/green orb on box.
Take green key 1.
Click on trash can and see jigsaw.
Complete jigsaw, this gives a hint on how to solve the number clues.
(Note: the number in the completed puzzle is not part of the exit code).
Go right.
Click on red box.
Put orange/yellow orb on box.
Take green key 2.
Zoom out.
Drag first green key to top left, cupboard.(Not the drawers).
Take blue sheet. This gives the 1st number of the exit code.
Drag second green key to top middle, cupboard.
Take multi-coloured orb.
Go right twice.
Use stick to get purple box.
Click box in inventory.
Put multi-coloured orb on box.
Take blue sheet. This gives 4th number to exit code.
Go to door enter the 4 digit code and you're out.
Solution in next post.
Solutions to codes:
ReplyDeleteComputer code.
ihmtmhx
T(19 lines)
This is the ceaser cipher.
ihmtmhx is the result of the letters being shifted 19 letters forward.
To decipher, you go back 19 letters.
Or you could do what I did and use the tool on purplehell and pick the one that looks most like a word.
7 lines foward is the same as 19 back(26 letters in the alphabet)
http://www.purplehell.com/cgi-bin/riddles/rot.pl
SPOILER
potatoe
Exit code.
The clue in the jigsaw puzzle, shows a grid of 5 by 5 with a list of numbers for a to e.
Fill in the boxes in each row to correspond with the numbers. e.g. a12345, so fill in a1,a2,a3,a4,a5, b5 just fill in b5 and leave the rest of the row blank etc.
The number in the puzzle is a 3.
Do the same for the clue in the book and the 3 blue sheets.
SPOILER
5086
yay! I got out with Sonia's link. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I successfully used a cipher like that. Of course, it really helps that the game told me what to try.
