You start at the bottom, and follow every side path you come to. that gives you treetops. each treetop matches up with one of the birds - i found it easier to write which color bird was where, myself. (start with blue, i'd have to run it again to be sure of the order, but there's a black in there, too.)

I start at one, and move up. when I hit a crossbar, i go over it, and keep moving up. (in this simple example, 1 leads to b, 2 leads to C and 3 leads to a)

@Dana, you need to zoom on one flower (middle in lower row), but you might need the pink note to be able to zoom there.

ReplyDeleteLook at the cute cow. Hmm, you need to set it free. Good thing Jack (your character) is good with an axe. But we don’t have one. . . Let’s check in the house. Oh, it’s locked. Well, what’s behind the house? FLOWERS! And a sign. Maybe we can connect the different sizes of flowers with the sign, and use that for the code.

When you get inside, your Mom wants you to sell the cow. Awww, but it’s so CUTE! :( Fine, tho. Click around until you find the axe (in the view with the stove and the pot/pan). Note the cupboard, the cutting board/knife, and the urn with water – you’ll use them later.
Take the knife, and cut the cow’s tether. If you look around (to the left), you’ll see a man with a bean. He says he’ll exchange it for the cow – sounds good to me. But now he wants BREAD, too. >_< Fine. Keep looking around outside, to see what’s here (those rainbow coloured birds), then go back inside. Go to the cupboard. Use the plates to click colors in the right order and get oven mitt. Click on the top shelf to get a shovel (thanks, Ellie!)
Now, there was an oven with bread, right? (yeah, there was) Go grab the bread, give it to the old man for the bean. Give the (magic) bean to your Mum. She’ll toss it out the window. Go see what happened, why don’t you. It’s a beanstalk (can you see where this is going? If you know the story, I bet you can.)
Climb on up. Oh, a hole. But at least we can nab that watering can. We can’t get to the house. Guess we’ll have to climb back down. Go fill your watering can. Maybe we should check out the flower bed, now that we have water.
HEY! A fairy! Maybe she can help! She wants magic water. But we only have NORMAL water. Hmmm . . . but if you go by the coloured birds, you can get a box. Maybe this can help. . . But how to open it. Well, take your axe, cut down that tree with a notch in it. Hey, that sign gives me an idea. Click the right side of the box. SPOILERSLRLLRSPOILERS
Nice, a recipe for magic water. We need magic powder, and it says it’s by a flower. Well, to the flower bed. The flower by the arrow down has it at the base, so dig it out. (If you care, the Japanese text if you click on the dirt without the shovel says “something is there, right?”) Combine the powder and the water, then give it to the fairy. She fixes the hole.
Climb back up the beanstalk. Oh, the door wants a code. Joy. Go back to the flower bed, and see what word the PURPLE flowers spell out. SPOILERSBEANSPOILERS. Put that into the door, and you can get in. Watch (or skip) the little scene, and then we continue. Read the note – the giant dropped a key. And see that painting pointing to the chest? It wants an open apple – grab an apple. Now, where have we seen a knife? Yep, back to the house we go. Grab the key, and unlock the chest. Get coins and transparent thing.
Use the transparent thing on the window (far left). Find out what tree each number ends at. This is your color code. The note by the bed tells you to start at the bottom. Now, time to match it up with the birds. Run down – and you can give the coins to your mum while you’re down here. Go put that color combo into the cage. SPOILERSBLUEGREENBLACKYELLOWSPOILERS
Grab the hen and push the button to see a door appear. But you don’t have the key. So go give your mum the hen for safe keeping, and talk to her. She’ll give you a key she found in the garden. Use that key on the door in the house to get a self-playing harp. Uh-oh, the Giant heard you! You need to keep him from reaching you! Cut down the beanstalk with your axe, then give the harp to your mum. YAY! You win!!!!

For those who do not know how to do the ladder puzzle:
ReplyDeleteYou start at the bottom (this time, sometimes it’s the top), and move up. Every time you come to a cross-piece, you move one vertical line over (whichever way that cross-piece moves you), like so:

If you follow 1, you find a diagonal line that moves you over to the 2nd line. You continue up until you hit that last cross-piece, and move one more over, and end up on C.
Start at two, and you climb up to A.

Tanks Trisana, I don't explain my self well (in English it's difficult for me) I mean when I solve the puzzel I can go over the all lines, for example: why in the first number I stop in blue amd not continue whith the other lines? I just don't understand how you got the colors.

@lisa, when you start at number 1 you stop in blue because that is the end of that line (you reached the top of it and there are no more turns to do). Then you need to start again, with number 2 this time and follow that line to the top.
