    ReplyDelete
  71. I am not able to place the sling the 4th time and the dog doesn't move and I cannot pick the ladder..

    ReplyDelete
  72. Ok..finally placed the sling but the dog doesn't move and the ladder is still there...

    ReplyDelete
  73. Stupid me..you need to pick up the bone and give it to the dog...place it in the bowl...

    ReplyDelete
  74. Well, I needed lots of help to escape from this one. Thanks for your snapshots @Full, you sure saved me from an anger episode here, LOL.

Hmm, what's the fun of playing a game before being posted here? Well, I guess the same fun of playing a non-live one AFTER being posted here... ok, ok, I know I'm not getting what it was meant.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Can someone please post a walkthrough?

I had no trouble with the slingshot after placing the first one, but I still cannot get the wood pieces and roots to stick to the ladder, nor can I do anything with the "plate" or the dog bone. :(

    ReplyDelete
  76. Oh... oops! Power of posting, lol... I had to place the plate and bone, then TAKE the ladder, and open it in my inventory, before I could fix it.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Well Mr. Cocky (I presume it was you),
    By writing down "ok, ok, I know I'm not getting what it was meant." I guess you know exactly what it meant;
    Some parts of the fun of playing a live game together that 'nobody ever played before' (so no walkthroughs or hints to find on other sites) are;
    - The fun of being stuck all together and posting ideas till somebody combines those ideas to find the solution.
    - The fun of finding the clues, codes or hard to find hotspots first. And although that's not really showing off, it's still some kind of ego boosting involved with playing live games that makes it fun
And that kind of fun is spoiled by people who play a new game first on another site and then acting like great heroes who save the day (and I don't mean you SwissMiss; without keeping it a secret you played it before and then bragging in comments, you just tell you played it before and tell us you will be there if somebody needs help; that's great!).
On some level it's the same like how you are telling people to give the credits to the ones that deserve it when somebody posts a walkthrough from another site without telling it's from somebody else.

For me that's a big difference between playing a game that's not live anymore or playing a game that's semi-live because some players already played it and still post smart ass comments. And for that same reason I never play re-plays (not live that is).

Anyway, this subject is not important at all, just wanted to post this because I have the feeling it seems you sometimes want to make some comments on my comments to just a little bit belittle me (between the lines with some kind of a slight undertone). And if that's not true, then sorry, sorry, sorry and just realise it's not small-tool that wrote this but Mr. totaly-wasted-under-the-table-again-because-it's weekend-again. And if it's true just realise I'm playing here (for years and years as a lurker) and commenting (for a few months) to have some fun with other people and not to be an annoying person here on EG24 or to be your rival (I couldn't even if I wanted to; only respect and great admiration for you).

    ReplyDelete
  78. That was not Cocky @small-tool... nothing to feel cocky about it this time.

When I wrote that previous comment I thought I had got the meaning of it, but somehow discarded it thinking that your comment was somehow sort of a disapproval towards games being played in advance originated by George's comment saying he was already playing Sakura in the main site.
Now, think about it the same way me or anyone else could have done it by reading you ...were you actually "disapproving" George's "behaving" thinking that maybe he would go to the Sakura page once the game was posted just to show off, even when he openly admitted he was playing it in advance? If not, why saying it then?
Another confusing point of view in your question is Where's the fun of playing together if everybody plays a game already before it's posted here ...the fun for the one playing it? My answer to that would be what I commented: exactly the same kind of fun as playing a non-live game; I mean, the kind of fun that a game would give playing it alone and on one's own. Now, I have to admit that I did consider you were really meaning something like 'Where's the fun for the live players being helped/spoiled for someone who had played the game before in advance?' In that case, my answer would be 'no fun at all' Not for me. Like you, I also play the replays (when I haven't and if it looks a good one) and always try to avoid playing them live (unless extraordinary occasions when too bored or when the live players are... hm, trustworthy enough? Because I know help can be easily be found somewhere else (and I also love to play live games because of the collective struggle-cooperation) and I also know it could be easy for some people to "help" by cheating that way. When such thing happens and I'm playing live, I try to ignore the "I-played-it-and-I'm-here-to-help person"
But personally I go much forward... I also avoid the new games posted here, but old in other sites, and submitted by someone here. Not too much fun either for me.
That being said, let me ask you to make myself clear: What was the motif of you questioning that? In your opinion, is it OK if someone helps in a game that had played in advance? (not for me) If yes, I don't see the point of the question; if not, it is OK only if that person "publicly admits" to have played it before and willing to help? In your opinion, would that not be fun-spoiling for the live players? I guess not, since you have done the same in some games you've submitted.
Well, I guess you can have an idea of how confusing this (not imortant for me either) subject was for me.

    ReplyDelete
  79. And, about the belittling undertone in my comments? Well, know that you're not the first one to feel confused about them, and know that it's not the case at all... but you're right, I understand they might be taken sometimes the wrong way, as it has happened, with people I also appreciate, respect and admire, such as EnJoy, Peke, Debra (who I haven't seen in a long time, and I still wonder if I had something to do about it) a few some others... and now you. what to say? that "it's the way I am"? Not much of an excuse, right. I could say sorry too. Oh, and rivalry you say??? No s-t. I'm not here to be noone's rival and much less to see anyone as such.

    ReplyDelete
  80. PS This is the first time EVER I have to post something split in two (other than walkthroughs) due to the 4096 characters limit.

Let's make it an EG24 record!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Not able to answer properly anymore right now (almost 4 o'clock in the morning, in the weekend here, which means I can't think straight anymore).
All I can say now is it was not meant to be as a disapproval towards George playing games in advance, but some kind of disapproval to mention it here. It somehow breaks the imaginary rules in my (maybe wishful) thinking that EG24 is a kind of gated community where we face 'new' problems together without any knowledge of the outside world.
And for me that image of an utopia doesn't contradict with me submitting games and giving 'some, but not vital' information during these games, but at the same time trying to be very far in the background.

I know I'm not really clear right now, but let me make clear that; I didn't (and don't) think george is someone playing in advance to later show how good he is by giving help. All I didn't like was that he posted (not submitted) the game here in a comment so some players already could/would start that game and in that way taking away the joy of starting a new game all together as a fresh one. And I know that's wishful thinking too because I've seen Sakura's before where people played it in advance.

Anyway, since I have no intentions at all to set a new EG24 record on such a minor subject as this I'm not sure if I will get back to this when I can think straight again. And that's mainly because you made one thing straight; ...to feel confused about them, and know that it's not the case at all... and that's more than enough for me.
For me everything is cool now. No hard feelings here (hope no hard feelings over there too).

    ReplyDelete
  82. Goodnight @s-t. No hard feelings at all, but only looking forward to have more fun with what we all like to do the best... escaping!

    Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Hoping there is still some space available to post a comment for this game (LOL), here´s a small WALKTHROUGH:

-Zoom in twice at the piece of wood at the left of the tree.
-Take the piece of wood as well as the sling a little above it at the top of the fence.
-Back up twice and zoom in at the dog and take the 2 stones(#1 and2).
-Back once and place the sling in the middle of the green path near the bottom of the screen.
-Drag and drop one stone onto the sling ( wait for the cutscene to finish)
-Place the sling again but this time a little bit more to the right of the path, but again somewhere at the bottom.
-Drag and drop the 2nd. stone to frighten the snake away, and now your able to turn right to another scene.
-At the next scene zoom in at the bottom of the tree in the middle and take a 2nd. piece of wood, a plate and another stone (#3).
-In that scene click more to the left to get yet another stone(#4).
-Back up twice and take the 2 roots hanging from the left tree and from the right tree.
-Turn left again and place the sling at the path again, but this time a little more to the left ( to the right of the snake).
-Drag and drop the stone #3 at the sling to make that snake go away.
-Zoom in to where the bone for the dog is and place your sling once again, now somewhere at the right bottom of this scene.
-Drag and drop the last stone so you´ll scare away the mouse in the tree and make the second snake from the tree go behind it.
-You can now pick up the bone.
-Back up once and go right.
-Zoom in at the dog and put the plate in front of the dog and after that the bone into the plate.
-The dog will eat and dissapear so now you can take the ladder standing against the back wall.
-Zoom in at the ladder by dragging it into the scene, place one piece of wood and tie it together with one piece of root.
-Do the same with the second piece of wood and root.
-Back up once, turn left zoom in at the cat in the tree and place your just constructed ladder to save the cat.

CONGRATULATIONS, you saved the cat, although you can´t consider yourself an animal friend as you have just been throwing stones at a bird, a snake and a small mouse, but well that´s another story.
