  77. Thou = 25400 micron
    Link = 20,12 cm

    Chain = 20,12 m

  91. Level 9 has me stumped -- I can't think which name they want for the odd object. Hint: anachronism

But I wouldn't have made it this far without all the extra clues above. Still don't understand where the letters to anagram came from in level 4 or what unit we converted everything to in level 6 (I thought it would be spans). Thanks all.

    ReplyDelete
  92. i can't find the answer to level 2 anyone can help me plz?

    ReplyDelete
  93. Hi noa. Go to purple hell http://www.purplehell.com/riddletools/

    ReplyDelete
  97. Hope you get it soon b/c I'm sorting out 8, but getting nowhere.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Oh good! I need help. I thought I'd sorted them right, but am not getting a word. Are we getting a 12 letter word?

    ReplyDelete
  99. Do we consider Angel a criminal or someone he didn't know? Angel was a made-up person by the real criminal right?

    ReplyDelete
  100. oh sry mkganda I'm playin lots of games at once and can't concentrate on this 1.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Need help on 8 if anyone comes around.

    ReplyDelete
  102. @mkganda (sorry I wasn't in here earlier):

    Level 8 is a 4-letter word.

Sherlock says he forms the word by COUNTing the people by category. This gives you a 4-digit number.

I did it by googling sherlock holmes plus each name.

For example, there is only one policeman, so the 3rd digit is a "1".
Then, convert the numbers to letters.

When you get this, maybe you can help me with level 9.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Going back - level 6 was converting everything to mm; not sure what that has to do with "unity" or "spans already told you what form".

    ReplyDelete
  104. I'm on lvl 9 now! Thx PuzzledinCA.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Puzzled any ideas for 9? Got the name of the picture (insert_wierd_thing_here) but dunno what's the odd thing in the photo. We probably have to find it out and replace it on the picture URl.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Hm.... The Adventure of the Misfit... maybe an object out of place?

    ReplyDelete
  107. Look at the picture in the upper left.

That big wheel wasn't in London in Holme's time.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Names I've found are:
Millennium Wheel, London Eye (official name), Eye of London.

    Just to get started ...

    ReplyDelete
  109. well.. but URL won't accept giant wheel.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Got it! replace to londoneye

    ReplyDelete
  111. Oh, that's it! I thought that was a clue to something being pasted onto the picture!

    ReplyDelete
  112. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Oh, boohoo. I thought there was going to be 1 more puzzle. :(

I guess the start counted as a level!

    ReplyDelete
  114. Thanks, Nini xD!

This is the first time I've had the patience to get all the way through one of these.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Oh man! You guys finally come back and I wasn't here! Eating dinner soon so this will have to wait a little longer.

@PuzzledinCA Thanks for the help! I guess I was half on the right track and half on the wrong one lol. I've got my names all sorted so when I can come back I should have no problem passing it.

Congrats to both of you for finishing! Hoping to join the ranks soon! :D

    ReplyDelete
  116. I finished!

    @author
Please do finish this one. I found looking around for S.Holmes clues really fun. Theme riddles are my favorite.

Thanks Nini and puzzledinCA for your helpful comments! :D

    ReplyDelete
  117. i'm not even through the "seaside adventure" level :(

    what i see:
    lion
    "seaside adventure"
and the name of the picture (l*t*n)

i never read the stories so i tried to look up the seaside adventure but all i found is some random fanfiction.
so i tried lion, sealion and some other animalnames (in l*t*n), in one word, no capital letters.
    but nothing works.
some more help please. or a website where i can find more clues...

    ReplyDelete
  118. Google
'The Adventure of the Lion's Mane'
    Look for the latin name.

    ReplyDelete
  119. thank you!!! :)
(that animal is a creep though)

    ReplyDelete
  120. @mumu: Also the name must be typed entirely in lower case and without and normal space, otherwise it will not be accepted. Wrong answers take you to a 404 page. Do not press enter after typing the name, instead click on the Login button.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Another hint for someone trying to use google on the hints -- put "Sherlock" in front of the search. This should get you quickly to those relevant to Sherlock Holmes.
