  5. There WAS a mistake in level 46-C!!!
    Geez! So mad about it!!
Authors should look better at what they do when making the games!
...and someone should give a medal or make a homage to this person in Nordinho for the patience and persistence in finding the typo!

Oh, good morning everyone, hehe :P

    ReplyDelete
  6. Hi @Ellie, sorry i had to go, but i see you have already passed T** F*** part.

Still stuck on the last part of 46. I have searched for other authors of the tempest and deaf actors. Nothing suits.

  11. The first movie adaptation for the play was a silent film in 1908, but Percy Stowe is not the answer...

    ReplyDelete
  12. I actually tried that name before but forgot to use full name. It's the most famous m******* who cannot hear.

    ReplyDelete
  13. 47!!! Thanks lots @Ruff!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  14. Level 47 was easy, but time-taking. Loading 48 while I try to upload a mirrored pic of 46.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Of course I meant a mirrored pic for 47! hmmm, need more coffee.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I've got the first part of 47. Just haven't found the "B** B******" yet.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I think I'll have problems with level 48... tones?

  19. For level 47 to find the S******* look for US 12 season. Only the name. I tried the full name at the begining. Aaargh.

    ReplyDelete
  20. And to start 48 you need the other S*******

    ReplyDelete
  21. I don't have the proper tool to record level 48's sound. :(

    ReplyDelete
  22. OK, I'm back home and ready to struggle some more.
For level 48, I could record an mp3 file with the sound, but don't know of any online sound decoder, help on this?
Also, I should upload this mp3 file somewhere for you to have it, but don't know of any good site for that, any ideas?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well, I think it's uploaded now. Let me know if you can download it and if it works please?
    http://www.wikiupload.com/PYQRUNFDU93GJ59

    ReplyDelete
  24. @edgar, at first the wikiupload page did not load. I tried it 3 times and it has worked. Thank you for uploading it. I'm now trying to decode it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hope you are luckier than me Ruff...

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think I just found something good, but MP3 files are not supported there. Need to convert my audio file to WAV.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I tried the one from purple hell for DTMF but didn't work.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Thanks a lot Edgar, i had a lot of recording it.
I had to convert it to wav and use this link to convert the dmtf sounds.
    http://www.dialabc.com/sound/detect/index.html

    On 49 now.

    ReplyDelete
  29. LOL brian and Ruff, it's the same site I'm using right now. Unfortunately, I ran out a malicious site before and have my antivirus scanning at the same time and it makes it slower. Will catch you on 49 soon...

  30. This comment has been removed by the author.

  31. I stop here. I am trying to upload the wav to the same link you used.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Finally uploaded in wav format

  33. Ehm... I have 16 tones now... what to enter?

    ReplyDelete
  34. @edgar, combine some of them.

    ReplyDelete
  35. NVM, lol. Got it and onto 49! Yeah, we do rock!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Convert them @Edgar, for some letters you use two numbers. Use two numbers everytime you can.
    18 gives r

    ReplyDelete
  37. @edgar, there is no a, b and c in the answer. Does this hint make it easier to group the numbers?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Mealtime for me now. BRB!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. oh my, what did I do. I deleted the wrong comment at 1.06pm.

    Level 49!

@edgar, hugs and kisses. Thank you so so much for your sound file. Without it, I could never pass this level. The link I mentioned about worked with .wav but very very slow. Got to have patience.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Bye then. Back here tomorrow. cu.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'm back to struggle a little bit more. Thanks a lot for the last part of 46 @Ruff! I never had that one, but another deaf m******* lol. Well, struggling with 47 now. I didn't know there was an alphabet like that but found it now in PurpleHell.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Back too, and collecting my jiwsaw pieces...

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks @brian for "only the name" of second part of 47! I tried the full name too, and went here for more clues.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Well, maybe not the best jigsaw ever, but my third try did the trick.

Click here to see the QR code of level 49

    Will start 50 now.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Phew!! Finally done with 48! The longest time I spent on trying to find the file on my computer after downloading it. How to know where those files go!?!
Well, got the letters I needed and loading 49.

    ReplyDelete
  46. It took me so long to fix that qr puzzle. Level 50 now.

    ReplyDelete
  47. No idea what to don in 50...

    ReplyDelete
  48. @edgar, click the screen to see more

    ReplyDelete
  49. For lvl 49, a good convertor to use is:
    http://www.onlinebarcodereader.com/

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hi again @Ruff! Reading some instructions in lvl 50 now and will try to make sense of them :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm still working on step 1, trying to find the thing to say.

    ReplyDelete
  52. @Ruff, me too. The numbers in the source might be a "map" in some way, but didn't find out how yet.

    ReplyDelete
  53. @ellie, that's what I have done. Picked up letters from the grid according to positions of numbers; didn't work though.

    ReplyDelete
  54. There's an space between the middle numbers on the source. They could make a square with the 1-8 digits and a space in the middle. I wonder if it has something to do...

    ReplyDelete
  55. @edgar, maybe we could use those in the middle. Not sure if the missing two letters are significant.

    ReplyDelete
  56. There's a total of 144 letters in the first step. They fit in the 12x12 number grids on the next pages. Maybe we should do something with it.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Sorry, 144 including the first asterisk.

    ReplyDelete
  58. @edgar, what I'll do now is to type it in excel.

    ReplyDelete
  59. @Ruff, it's a good idea but, are you thinking of following an
    347
    1 8
    562
    order?
Hm, not sure how to proceed. Anything could be wrong and time-taking...

    ReplyDelete
  60. @edgar, I've sent you my excel file.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Going Ruff. I have mine done now. Will compare notes...

    ReplyDelete
  62. @edgar, mine is just a straight copy of the screen; not in the number order.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'm thinking we might need to decode the letters on the tomb to know what to say...

    ReplyDelete
  64. I also thought those symbols on the tomb could have a meaning Ellie, maybe...
Ruff, I did mine in a 12x12 grid. Get it.

    ReplyDelete
  65. @edgar, got it. Thanks.

It's dinner time. I'll be back later.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Hi @edgar, ellie. I have not had dinner yet. Just have a thought and I want to verify it before I go to dinner. In my earlier comment, I said that I've found two letters missing. Those two letters plus a number is ids of egyptian tombs. Maybe those two letters + 50 will tell us something.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Really have to leave for dinner now! Will be back asap.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Thanks @Ruff! Will have a look at that. See you!

    ReplyDelete
  69. At least it gave me a 9-letter word. Will see if it is of any use.

    ReplyDelete
  70. LOL, forgot that I only need 8 letters. Well, it didn't work anyway. Will look some more.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Solved level 50!

-Copy the letters in a 12x12 grid. Second row should start with B,N,J,E...
-Starting from the asterisk in top left, there's a 5 in the "walk" page with a 2 in the "direction" page. It means you should move 5 steps in the 2 direction (South-East)
    - You get to the letter P where there's a 3 in "walk" with a 4 in "direction", so move 3 steps (from the previous P) towards North.
    - Go on like this and collect 10 letters (after this you'll get out of the grid.
    - Anagram your answer.

Remember that the directions 1-8 are seen in the source.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Thank @Edgar!!! I never thought we should use all three pages at the same time. Got the 10-letter word now!! Only 10 lvl's to go!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Entering the Dark Temple now...

    ReplyDelete
  74. It's only 10 alright Ellie! Let's crack this joint up!!

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'm back!

@Edgar, you've done it! Thanks for the clues. I am going to try it now.

    ReplyDelete
  76. @edgar, thanks again for your help on level 50. Level 51 now.

    ReplyDelete
  77. OK Ruff, will need some help here.

Hm, there's something strange in the source...

    ReplyDelete
  78. I'm getting something now for 51! Google the text below the picture to find the right cipher. Then go to purple hell and remember... the rotors are LIE!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Thanks Ellie!
I spent a while trying to learn how to set it, lol.

    Onto 51!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Well, I meant 52, but you know me... :P

    ReplyDelete
  81. @Ruff, how are you doing? Still here?

    ReplyDelete
  82. OOPS... hm, I got lvl 52, but not sure how.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Well, for 52 it was the first name I could think about. Just looked at the pictures.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Got something for 53 now, by using addition. Will see if that works out.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Now, I have love and hate, but what to do with that? Cant use alphabet the "standard" way, nor number translation.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Well, addition makes sense to difference between LOVE and HATE, still trying here...

    ReplyDelete
  87. For level 53,
There's something in the LOVE numbers that make them different from the HATE ones.
They not only add up 17, but also are in a odd-even-odd-even-odd arrangement.

Couldn't have solved it without Ellie leading me into the addition track, so thank you Ellie!!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Thanks @Edgar!!! I never would have tried to anagram that strange set of 14 letters. Loading 54!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Hi guys! Away for just a while and you are at 53 now. I have not started 51 yet. I gotta catch up!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Hi again @Ruff!! Come and join us!!

    ReplyDelete
  91. We're now in 54 @Ruff.

    Catch up fast and help!

    ReplyDelete
  92. And just for the record...
I think we are ahead the Nordinho team for once!

    ReplyDelete
  93. I have problem using the machine from purple hell. I cannot type in the input box!

    ReplyDelete
  94. @Ruff, try to refresh the page, but if you cant write there, try clicking at the "keyboard-letters" in the pic.

    ReplyDelete
  95. thanks @ellie. Is the E***** decoder the right one? Why is my rotors changed after every key I clicked?

    ReplyDelete
  96. Found a great page googling the names and year that also includes all of the numbers needed for lvl 54. Will solve this now...

    ReplyDelete
  97. @Ruff, it's correct. They should change. The starting position is the important one, then don't mind them anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Following to chess moves and got nothing so far...

    ReplyDelete
  99. Now I tried the moves in that game in 2 different ways... nothing. Need to find another game maybe?

    ReplyDelete
  100. The machine is so difficult to use. After the first 5 letters, everything is gibbish.

    ReplyDelete
  101. @Ruff, make sure your initial setting is correct according to the hint in the level and that your letters are entered without skipping any. You can also use the keyboard if you find it easier than to click on those little keys on the screen.

    ReplyDelete
  102. And for level 54, I can only find 1 match with these 2 persons with +123 moves... not getting anything!

    ReplyDelete
  103. @Ruff, you don't need to do anything to the special settings. Just refresh it, then change the rotors in the pic. After that, start writing. It will be in groups of 5 letters each, but just go on and make the words later. Starts with a "U".

    ReplyDelete
  104. Oh, I missed a hint from the source! Maybe that's the key to solve this one. Going to try again!!

    ReplyDelete
  105. 52 now. It was a typo (click-po really). It's difficult to flip between tabs to do the input.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Lol @Edgar, I missed that clue too, but was just starting to think about looking at it that way. Will try!

    ReplyDelete
  107. Hmmm, got nothing!! Maybe I did a mistake. Will re-check.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Now I tried starting and ending positions for the actual pieces, and also the ones on the source numbers. I also tried the moves around in the game, not by the same pieces. Well, that might not make sense, but it's the same as the letters I've got. Nothing!

    ReplyDelete
  109. Great @Ruff! I've been in that chess-play for quite a while and start mixing everything up. Need new eyes for this!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Very stuck... :(
I know I'm at the right match, but can't get a word!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Got distracted!! Bloody Australia!! Floods and death! The floods did wonderful things for the Murray Darling river System but.. Qld copped it followed by a Cyclone....
Then people start looking locally for body parts after 2 white pointers took an abalone diver in SA (where I now live)....
Then up in Northern Territory an aboriginal child is taken by a crocodile...
More people now looking for more body parts...
Then I come to NZ and Christchurch LIVE!!
Not San Fran or LA but honest straightup info on TV!!
Personally think of NZ as the seventh state of Australia.
But it is so sad cos I do care! Have tears in my eyes!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Guys, Ive stopped since it made my head throb lol

    Good Luck though~CHEERS! :)

    ReplyDelete
  113. Not the best news @Michael, I'm sorry to hear that.

@trinketlady25, too bad you quit the game...

    ReplyDelete
  114. @michael, sorry to hear that too. Hope everything would be better soon.

    ReplyDelete
  115. @Michael, it does seem like a minor thing in comparison that lvl 54 is unsolvable...

@trinketlady25, sad to hear you quit, but thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  116. I'm fearing another mistake in the clues. I just can't make anything with a sense in the moves.

    ReplyDelete
  117. @Trinket where you stuck? Lost it at 40 and am still working with a simple computer program such as Matlab and C++! Gives me the s!@#s actually as am using an old calculator, pencil and some paper! Couldnt be bothered...
@SP perhaps you should rethink how you interact with old friends who create riddle games like this??
    Finalfantasy??
Im waiting for something regarding Iggy Pop or from that period! Try forgotten boy who searches and destroys!!
NZ is worse than what I thought.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Nothing from chess!
Going to bed now. Good night everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  119. Leaving as well now. Can't make sense of this chessboard. Good night!

@Michael, I hope you'll get your numbers for 40 soon. But you do know how to calculate the E's, don't you? Calculate all of the E's first, then enter them into the "diagram" and solve the rest.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Good night @Ruff! See you tomorrow.
I'm giving it a break too. Hopefully we can move on soon. We were doing so great!

    ReplyDelete
  121. @Michael Im lost at the flags.lol Ive no hope for those

    ReplyDelete
  122. @trinketlady, IF you decide to come back and have another look at the flags... did you get any of them? Do you know what to do there?
Write down the number/letter codes for the colored areas inside the flags. Those are HEX color codes. Go to a converter, for example:
http://easycalculation.com/color-coder.php and enter the HEX codes so that you see the colors.
Now, google "flag" and the colors you got for each flag, and look at google pictures to see if some matches. When you have the four flags you need to find the TLD's of those countries (good list in wiki).
Good luck and tell if you need more help (if you go on)!

    ReplyDelete
  123. Told you that s@#t happened!! Knew people died!! First views I had was of people looking out out windows of the spire of that church. Then they disappeared... Of course the Media are making the most of it! Prime example was this fool using his daughter as a interviewee!! Doesnt help does it? Personally wish I could do something myself!
And the so called "experts" are having their say as well!
Even got shots of Aust and NZ parliaments making statements!
Enough.. I wish the Kiwis well!!

    ReplyDelete
  124. Sorry @Ellie but this is on my doorstep! Used to work doorstop (border security) at Sydney airport! I like to think I had some morals despite what the Govt would tell me..
    Sad Michael

    ReplyDelete
  125. @michael, I'm not sure why you apologize to me, but there is no need to. I'm sorry about what you're going through and hope it will get better soon. It always does!

    ReplyDelete
  126. @Ellie I have this little old black cat with beautiful yellow eyes waiting for me to feed her! Now if I had about $5000 I could take care of her tumor (non malignant apparently) but it certainly makes her very rotund...

    ReplyDelete
  127. @Ellie that beetle with the white cross.. Personally think it might have been a better clue if the cross was yellow!
That thought about bugs being different from other insects cos of back markings was brilliant!!
Hell made me think twice cos I looked at a lot of possible biosecurity issues in my time at Sydney airport.
And that earlier post with the riddle? Just like the game there is an answer!! Amused cos nobody has tried!
    Dont worry about me!

    ReplyDelete
  128. need help on 31
    i have these letters EHOKBLCT
    are they correct?
dont know what am i missing?

    ReplyDelete
  129. Any help on 54? Is it 1870 Baden-Baden game? Should I consider the first eight moves?

    ReplyDelete
  130. @faltu, I don't think anyone has solved lvl 54 yet. But yes, that seems to be the game. I think we should consider other than the first 8. Use the other numbers in the source.... but well, I didn't solve it.

    ReplyDelete
  131. The other numbers ... certainly not moves, only 40 moves in the game.

    ReplyDelete
  132. No @faltu, there is one game with 124.
    http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1255412

    ReplyDelete
  133. Thank you very much Ellie. I was looking on the same page. But I am so idiot I was only looking on first page!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  134. For the first time I got a word that made sense, but it didn't work for 54. Using the positions and getting the letters v******l, then a cryptogram solver gave me "children". Well, didn't work...

    ReplyDelete
  135. Googling prologue together with children gave me a site of "how the chess game began" including lucifer, but that didnt work either.

    ReplyDelete
  136. with cryptogram you can also have "original"

    ReplyDelete
  137. Another clue in source.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Yay, done level 54, onto 55 now. :D

To all other riddlers and to the author, there is an error on the third move. Had to guess that letter to get the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  139. More hints on 54, don't just look at the destinations, you need to start positions too.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Thanks for the help on 54 Ruff!
Extra hint for level 54: The difference between starting and ending positions should be applied to the clue under the pic.

Now trying to understand an encrypter for level 55.

    ReplyDelete
  141. For level 55 had to download the encrypter program by changing the URL to ...encrypter.exe

Understanding how it works is not very difficult to do. Onto 56 now.

    ReplyDelete
  142. I'm a tad annoyed now. I already did all of that hours ago, but when it didnt anagram to anything I gave it up. It was impossible to try to replace all of the letters in all of the different things to think about to see if someone was defect.
Huge thanks @Ruff to find that out!! Loading 55 now.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Can't find a story to read for level 56...

    ReplyDelete
  144. I guess I was lucky to hit the correct URL to download the EXE file for level 55. This game is so full of errors and inconsistencies. Good puzzles in many levels, but the author should be more careful in the making. Use this URL:
    http://tdc.iagtriddle.com/thedarktemple/encrypter.exe

    ReplyDelete
  145. WW...
    Wild West?
    World War?

    ReplyDelete
  146. For those having troubles in understanding the encrypter for level 55, this is how I found out what it does after a few tries and playing with some words:

    Pick a message word [EDGAR]
    Write it backwards [RAGDE]
    Go like this:
     1st letter +0 [R+0=R]
     2nd letter +1 [A+1=B]
     3rd letter +2 [G+2=I]
     4th letter +3 [D+3=G]
     5th letter +4 [E+4=I]
Therefore, if you input RBIGI, the output is EDGAR.

    ReplyDelete
  147. @edgar, I'm back from lunch. I did not have problem downloading it but it kept quitting after the first input. I got frustrated and left for lunch. Time to try again.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Lol @Ruff, that's to make it annoying to figure out how it works I guess. Loading 56. Thanks @Edgar! I had another way of working with the letters but yours was way better.

    ReplyDelete
  149. @edgar, ellie, still trying some random input. The mapping is not a simple substitution which makes it really hard to use.

    ReplyDelete
  150. @Ruff, start playing with short words... if you enter numbers they will be encrypted the same way. Keep in mind you already have the OUTPUT, so you have to work backwards to figure out the INPUT.

Now, there's an sculptor/poet who signs his works "WWStory"
Maybe something related to him for level 56?

    ReplyDelete
  151. @Ruff, I tried to randomly input parts of the alphabet, then tried every second letter, every third and so on. Forwards and backwards. Then use the difference in the output and input to calculate how to use it. Edgars way is much better, read it above.

  152. Well... WW could be
    Wrong Word in proofreading,
    Writers Workshop in Calcutta,
William Webster, a director of the FBI and CIA, referred to in the Kryptos sculpture as "WW"
    etc... so many WW's!

  153. Extension xyz from the source...
wwxyz? I can google something with that, but don't have much time anymore. Will be back later.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Well, lots of cipheres on that statue, but still no story for me.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Hm, do we need to open an .xyz file?

    ReplyDelete
  156. Great @Ruff!! Now to find the story in lvl 56!

    ReplyDelete
  157. Found the story. The name is s****.**z

    ReplyDelete
  158. Hm, that's what im googling for, but I can't find it anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  159. You don't mean t** L***** s****. **z, do you?

    ReplyDelete
  160. @ellie, just download it from you-know-where.

    ReplyDelete
  161. @ellie, sent you a message

    ReplyDelete
  162. Thanks @Ruff! I tried that before, but made the same mistake as in the other lvl... kept the number there.
Now, I cant open it. Might need to convert it somehow. Hm, my computer doesn't know which program to use.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Thanks again! Wordpad worked fine too.

    ReplyDelete
  164. @ellie, got to go now. Will be back later.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Ok, see you @Ruff! I still didn't find a good decoder.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Oooh! You solved it already??? Great!! I still can't decode it :(

    ReplyDelete
  167. @ellie, use W***W*** of the notepad to change dimensions.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Ok... now I need to figure out what WW is.

    ReplyDelete
  169. I'm back too.
    Will start working on 56.

    ReplyDelete
  170. @ellie, if you use notepad, click Format. You'll find it there.

    ReplyDelete
  171. @Ruff, should I take only the gibberish part?

    ReplyDelete
  172. I got it! Thanks lots @Ruff! :D

    ReplyDelete
  173. No, I don't see anything there. I don't have notepad. I know what to do now I guess, but don't have a tool for it. Never tried that with the whole text before, only the last part.

    ReplyDelete
  174. @ellie, I've just tried it for you. You can do it with wordpad too. Use View-Option click wrap to window.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Edgar, I dont have word wrap here. Will have to do it manually.

    ReplyDelete
  176. The problem is that my version is in Swedish, and I don't see anything there that could equal what I want to do or "wrap to window". Thanks for your help! I'll look a bit more.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Ok, I found that it had been moved to Open office. Found wordpad again and used the tool, but had to drag the window smaller. Now i might be able to read.
Thanks @Ruff and @Edgar! I'm sorry... shouldn't play this without any sleep last night!
