ReplyDeleteWas a good game until the end; I rated it a 2 because not everyone has a bar code scanner on their cell, or not everyone may want to download the bar code scanner to their computers.
ReplyDeleteI agree Pascale and Seawall! I tried to download one once to my cell and it wouldn't work, because my phone isn't a "Smart Phone". Although I must say the link that DrLee posted did work, but I was always under the impression that those 'bar-code' things were only for cellphones.
ReplyDeleteI thought the bar code scanner was really surprising and original, actually. I was going through the game, thinking: "Why does every game have you find the same items? Again with the remote that needs batteries, again with the number code," etc. Then that popped up and it felt like a real scavenger hunt. Then again, I have a code reader on my phone. :) I may very well have been peeved if I didn't and couldn't get one.

ReplyDeleteSorry Sir/Lady Developer but this is simply a thing of brazenness ! As some people like to ONLY use their cell phone for calling up people, not as a cheapo organizer or whatever. So they may do with a cheap Samsung: neither camera nor barcode scanner.
And hell, they live on.

ReplyDeleteI would also like to comment about the barcode: please don't put elements in a game that not everyone is likely to have. Just because someone has access to a computer does not mean they have access to fancy phones like that. Also remember that not everyone has their own computer and are limited in what they can download on whatever computer they are using.
