I only have 2 numbers:7 and 6. Where is the third ?

No, math is not "weird" at all here.
ReplyDeleteJust don't do like I first did at the beginning and that is adding numbers per column.
Instead, consider symbols to be in two separate rows.
Paper says

This is weird: I don't see anywhere to PUT a three-digit code. I've got the code, but I don't see anything that requires a code to be put into it. The box by the door seems to need a key. What am I missing?

ReplyDeleteToo late for jazzsoup I expect - but in case anyone else come along, the box of script beside the inventory is 'about item' - select the lighter, click about item, click the lighter to light it :o)

ReplyDeleteClick on the lighter, then on the box with the word in it on the RH side of the inventory to open the About Item box with the enlarged item in it. Then click on the metal part of the lighter to get a flame. (The first time through, I clicked and clicked on that lighter in the About Item box but it wouldn't light.)
Close the box with the lighter in it. Open the paper in the same way, then highlight the inventory box with the lighter in it (it changes colour) and click on the paper. Voilà -- your equation!
(I'd already tried all that but was double-clicking or trying to drag things onto the screen to combine them, which doesn't work in this game.)
