Crikey, mrtelcom! The proof is in the puddin', but i must have used over-proof in my Christmas pud because even though you are giving lovely hints, i cant understand even one of them. This must be a signal that its Boxing Day, and i accidentally boxed myself and scored a knock-out. Will try again when the sun comes up, and I've had a jolly good passing out nap. Merry Christmas, and thanks for the hints which i may hopefully understand when im sober. (Thanks Tomatea, Merry Christmas and keep making us happy in the New Year, please)

While it's nice that you stop by long enough to say you opened a box, or got more goodies, it really contributes nothing.
ReplyDeleteWT Pt.1
ReplyDeleteYou're trapped in a beautiful room. It's well appointed, but there's no food, and no radio, and you need some fresh air. Time to escape.
Step forward and get PICTURE PIECE (1) from round table.
Turn right, look at clock, get PICTURE PIECE (2) from books on left. You'll need 2 things to make the clock work.
Turn right, go to right corner, get PICTURE PIECE (3) from above cabinets. Also look at paper hiding under lamp. Follow the ones, then the twos, etc. to make a 4-letter word but not a bad one, like work or something.
Turn left, go to left corner, enter word in upper cabinet! (press white button when done.) get HERBARIUM.
Go to the opposite corner again, and enter left-right code in upper cabinet from clue on cover of book. Get SD!
Now back out, turn right and take a good look at the color wheel on the wall. (You may have to click on it - not sure.)
Turn left and go to the box in the middle. You can see that the pieces move, but the one on lower right won't match up. Use your SD, flip the piece (in about-item mode), put the screw in again, and get the pieces to match the pattern on the wall. Get CLOCK WEIGHT. Back out and retrieve screw from box!
Now return to the color wheel which is now blank. Open drawer underneath, get XYLOPHONE KEY and study sequence of Roman numerals. The shapes of leaves on those pages of your HERBARIUM are your code for...
the shapes cabinet on the opposite wall. Get PICTURE PIECE (4). While you're here, might as well attach the CLOCK WEIGHT to the clock.
Now go to the grid puzzle on the opposite wall, and enter the pattern of brown leaves on page III. Get a MALLET, and a paper to study; this time use the word 'time' to draw numbers.
Turn left, enter number in lower right cabinet, get PICTURE PIECE (5) and a KEY.
Go to the locked cabinet in the corner under cello player. Use KEY, get PICTURE PIECE (6) and a BROKEN XYLOPHONE. Use SD, SCREW and XYLOPHONE KEY to repair XYLOPHONE. Use clue on p. V of HERBARIUM for sequence of notes. Get a WOODEN TAB THINGIE.
Go to the TIME box (between color wheel and grid) and install THINGIE where there's one missing. Select your PICTURE PIECES and work the puzzle. Hint: go down mostly. Table leg won't be visible in completed picture. Grab your MINUTE HAND and turn to...
The clock. Install MINUTE HAND and reproduce the time from the picture you just made. Get EXIT KEY!
I think probably no need for a list of solutions, but let me know if you want spoilers.
Thanks for the WT :-)

Thanks for the walkthrough, the hints left by some players were much less than helpful. Finally out!
ReplyDeleteAll I get is a blank screen !!!!
ReplyDelete/$%&$%&$%&
A cofee break, a Tomatea game, and a blank screen!!!
IT IS NOT FAIR!!!!!!
Thanks Tomatea - wonderful game!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the WT @just1 - I got stuck a couple times.
Merry Christmas everyone!
The up and down picture puzzle is IMPOSSIBLE. Hint "mostly down" "table leg not visible" I guess is a step in the right direction but ... none of the pieces ever line up - NONE of them. Therefore this game won't be finished by me. Tomatea games are usually not so frustrating. Maybe it's because I am using chrome? I have run across a few games that say not to play with chrome. ????
ReplyDeleteHint for up and down picture puzzle:
ReplyDeletethe top of the clock is at the top edge. the bottom of the table top is on the bottom edge. alight the two middle pieces first and then work with the outer pieces. It eventually opens up.
The painting at the end was gorgeous! It didn't last long enough though. Lovely game even with the frustration of the up and down picture puzzle.
ReplyDeleteThank you Just1
ReplyDeleteI wondered why I never read the word 'easy' in the comments as I would normally read it.
ReplyDeleteGuess this was a medium-high difficulty TomaTea this time. Especially the HE/RB/A/R/I/UM hint was tough, and so was the pic clue with the cuckoo clock "hidden" in it.
Very nice game - thank you
ReplyDeleteVery nice game - thank you
ReplyDeleteI have fixed the xylophone, but I can't figure out what notes to play. I have looked at the page 5 leaf clue, but when I try to replicate that pattern, it just isn't working for me.
ReplyDeletePlease let me know what notes to play!
