The opening scene is the door you wish to leave by. You cannot leave yet.
Turn left and bend over to smooth the unsightly rumpled carpet. Discover a man's head; he has a most unfortunate toupee that you can remove. Take CLUE PAPER.
Look at the cabinet on your right and interrupt the reading of NAKAGAWA #1 in the left drawer. Notice that the paper in your hand is a clue for the cabinet above. Or don't notice it, I'll notice it for you.
Now look closely at the decadently styled shelving on your left, with the banal representational sculptures. Each has a number on its base with a corresponding color. You will be tested on this.
As to the small cabinet at the upper left, there is no doubtful point.
Go forward and enter the kitchen. Ignore the paranoid creature; he is an advertisement. Look in the sink to find NAKAGAWA 2.
Back out and turn left; note smiley-face meme. I have no clue to solve this!
Go forward, see trapped Nakagawa in Rube-Goldberg machine.
Turn right to see dancing bee-man and shrubbery, just because you'd hate to miss it.
Turn left and enter the utility rooms.
Turn right, look in sink, get NAKAGAWA 3 brushing his teeth.
Open door, ignore talking men, get STICK.
Turn left, go forward, find NAKAGAWA 4 a bit inconvenienced in the drain. Turn left to see cat taking a bath, because you gotta see this, really.
Back out, turn left to laundry room, look in rag-bucket for NAKAGAWA 5 and NAKAGAWA 6.
Bacxk out several times, turn left and look in drawer to find perverse doll-fondling NAKAGAWA 7. Above is a box you'll need a code for.
Go upstairs, turn left to see one-man Fight Club, then turn right and enter door. Wait. SAVE YOUR GAME. You should do that every once in a while anyway, so I'm just saying. You never know when you might be about to DIE HORRIBLY. So it pays to be prepared.
Part 2 to come...
ooops, I went away with some work
ReplyDeleteback now...
Weird-Through Pt 2!
ReplyDeleteThe panda is holding 2 buttons you can push. His sidekick is holding another button behind his back. One of these will kill you. Why should I spoil your fun by telling you which?
Anyway, one way or another, you'll want to retrieve NAKAGAWA 8 from beneath the panda.
Now if you look at that odd sculpture upside down, you have the key to open a cabinet downstairs. Let's do that.
Go to the corner cabinet in the decadent shelving, enter the number, get a clue to the next puzzle!
This one tells you how to solve the sun box on top of the white cabinet. Note which numbers are black and which white. Go upstairs, look at the black/white sculpture with the sun in it, and pick corners to press according to the numbers. 1 & 2 will be the white corners, the rest black. Then go enter it in the box!
Get THUMBTACK-LIKE THINGAMAJIG and notice the pattern of colors as if they were on a 3x3 grid, which in fact they are.
Now face the opposite wall again and go to the righthand cabinet. Here you have to enter both colors and numbers. There are 2 ways to interpret the code paper, but the way that works is: the shapes represent colors for the 4 digits left to right. The colors on the paper represent the numbers. So get the colors from the statues corresponding to those shapes, and get the numbers that correspond to the colors.
To simplify the process:
fountain triangle bird arch
4 9 8 1
b g y r
You should be able to open the cb and get the BLUE BALL.
Oh I forgot to tell you to get the RED BALL as well; it's upstairs behind the big Nakagawa's head; use your STICK.
While there, put your THUMBTACK which is actually an LED LIGHT !!! in the grid on the center wall. Now you need to enter the colors from your grid clue, plus the missing colors, which are provided by the banal sculptures in the grid-shelves downstairs. This should get you a KEY.
Downstairs again, to the weird machine, and you're going to pop your BALLS in there. You can do this in any order, then poke them with your STICK, and watch the trapped NAKAGAWA 9 fall, then pick him up from the cabinet below. Go one cabinet left, use your KEY, retrieve your BALLS.
There is nothing funny about the above paragraph. They're all perfectly ordinary words and actions. Why are you sniggering?
Time to take your NAKAGAWAS upstairs (oh yes - make a drawing of that funny sculpture in the cabinet under where you got the blue ball first), and install them in the box in front of MR. Big Stuff Nakagawa. Now you can set the positions of the guys in the top row by clicking on the guys in the middle row, then click on the bottom guy when you're done. Reproduce that sculpture.
(btw does this have some relation to the Dancing Men font from Sherlock Holmes?)
When you get it right you'll see an inexplicable cut scene, then get your GREEN BALL.
The clue for placing the balls is on the bottom of the cross sculpture in the corner cabinet. Note the frown, so do it backwards (for the smile!).
Then punch that smug little freak right in his nose and make him cough up that DOOR KEY.
For ending 2, go out door with KEY!
For extra-special ending that makes you feel all better, open door but go upstairs instead, look at yellow men again. Reproduce what you see on the 3x3 grid (hint: easy!) and get the magical Detarou STAMP.
Can somebody give spoiler for color number, since I thought I know the order, but it looks like i dont.
ReplyDelete@Urban - it's 9841, rgyb
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I'm remembering that right
Thanks @just1, that worked
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great w/t, just1. Laughed my way through it. (i suspect the 'inexplicable scene' you mention may in fact be Uncle Stan getting wheeled out of the Playboy Mansion, because he was hitting on the bunnies).
ReplyDeleteOUtstanding walkthrough just1! Could read more of these, especially these that do not give half the game and the codes away but let users think themselves.

You've caught me in the act! Me too! :P
Oh there seems to be a save-game bug in my version!
ReplyDeleteYou can save "DATA1" but not "DATA2"!
With the latter, you will always get "NO DATA".
So your only safe way out is to NOT use second save slot!
help with upstairs color grid please! I have no idea what color goes where and all the clues above are just confusing me more!
ReplyDeleteWould someone please spoil the colors grid upstairs??? I just can't grasp it! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLOL @evans!!! Great minds and all! :)
ReplyDeleteNVM out now.
ReplyDeleteHint in box and on shelf
ReplyDeleteWhite purple blue
blue yellow green
green white red
Evans!!! I am going to excoriate you again for the NVM remark!!!! Grrrrr
ReplyDeleteAnd TY very much @Seb!!!!!
But...that didn't work @seb...I give up!
ReplyDeleteOK, red and white on bottom should be reversed....
ReplyDeleteGot key...see it now! TY
Did anyone notice that if you stared at the horseman, it would move forward. Then the screen said "BBA in the dark." What does that mean?
ReplyDelete@nokra
ReplyDeletethat really should work, it's the right answer
from the clue you got:
w p blank
b blank g
blank w blank
and the blanks afre filled in by the colors under the statues in those positions.
I'm sure it works Nokra ;)
ReplyDeletebtw I looked up the Dancing Man cipher (from The Adventure of the Dancing Men by A. Conan Doyle) and it's quite close but doesn't quite match (in the positions of the arms especially)
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is still here and playing this, I don't know what to do about the color/grid cabinet -- 9841 doesn't work for me for some reason, so the cabinet won't open!
ReplyDeleteFigures -- second I publish that, I go upstairs and the answer is there... guess I should finish looking around before worrying about 1 safe!
ReplyDeletefun game, creator has a great sense of humor....and just1 made it funnier with their wt...
ReplyDelete@ Prufrock, I beleive the horse was an advertisment, someone mentioned it earlier
ReplyDelete@just1, I loved your WT! It's at least as funny as the game itself (and that's saying a lot).
ReplyDeleteFUN GAME!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHelloooooo...(*toc toc*)
ReplyDeleteCan anyone please tell me if they can reproduce the bug that I can always trigger here again?
- pick up an item
- save to BOTH slots
- go upstairs, press "wrong" red button
- PANDA end (bad)
- press REPLAY, LOAD GAME
- at selection of game, you should only get ONE slot, the other ought to be "NO DATA".

ReplyDeleteI got the color/number puzzle and made the colors blue, green yellow red, and then made the numbers 4981, and the cb would not open. If this is incorrect, then I read the WT wrong? A bug?
ReplyDeleteHad to quit there.
