Yay progress. took leaves from temple and put them in fire ring at village and lit them with flint. bucket falls down, lit torch, put three buckets of water in barrel, opened temple and going in!

the mask inside the temple has a centre and FIVE outer rings to be moved (just saw four of them at first try)
