Hmmm. Yellow is a primary color, so you can't mix any two colors to get yellow. The kanji depicts the rays of the sun, hence "light", for which we usually use yellow in a painting, but then the red + green makes no sense regardless.
ReplyDeleteMixing colored lights create different colors than mixing pigments. i.e. blue + green + red makes white light.

Red + Green = Yellow
Blue + Green = Cyan

2. the primary colors of "light" (red, blue, green)
